  1. Where we are this morning is just a snapshot of our league position. It goes up and down. If he gets us into the playoffs I'll admit we are making progress
  2. It's where we end up in May - that will be the time to judge.
  3. No, because I don;t see any "progress" this season and it won't be any different next season, or the season after. I'm comforted by the fact Tony's pension fund is running into the millions now - he'll walk away soon enough.
  4. On the other hand, the injury "crisis" is reducing Mowbray's options and forcing him to play a more settled side (will stand corrected on that). Necessity is the mother of invention etc etc.
  5. Straight to the point Simon ?
  6. Yes, as a No 2. If we have any pretensions to winning promotion, we'd need a better goalkeeper.
  7. Charlton fighting for their lives in a relegation battle and will be buoyed by their great win away to Forest last night. Tony will have taken a look at our rising position in the league table this morning and will tell the players to put the brakes on. Charlton 2-1.
  8. And there's the rub.... should I make the long trip to Charlton and Brentford knowing Tony is dabbing his nose and our current position is as high as we will go?
  9. 3 points from the play-off places .... on past form isn't this when we usually get epistaxis ?
  10. The London clock would strike before him...and it's undergoing repair at the moment
  11. The 7,000 faithful wondering why they didn't stay at home and watch TV. This is all so predictable
  12. This is agony. Mowbray's Misfits 0 Hull Reserves 0 And everyone was very pleased
  13. It's fascinating watching 2 poor teams fight out a dull, lifeless draw on a cold, windy night.
  14. Wot, no goals yet ? Which players in Hull's reserve team is Tony frightened of ?
  15. .....only one result then.
  16. Johnny Price 5ft 1in ? Twice the player of Gallagher or Brereton.
  17. Could we see a sub 10,000 gate against Hull? Cold wind, poor football, team going nowhere. It's possible
  18. 1. Playoffs ain't going to happen. Forget it 2. That's virtually assured a Hull 2-1 win
  19. Yep, good post, sums it up nicely.
  20. Mowbray doesn't know what to do all the time.
  21. An indictment of Mowbray, assuming he sanctioned the transfers. Besides all his other deficiencies, their failure alone would have seen most managers sacked
  22. End of the day it was another defeat, another season now written off, no signs of significant progress that I can see, a manager who has run his course and needs replacing, the club in dire straits financially and the team farther away from the PL as ever.
  23. Who cares about Leeds when our own season is dead in the water? Another season goes by and we’re farther away from a return to the PL as ever. Please don’t anyway keep bleating we can still make the playoffs because it’s not going to happen. For me, I’m running out of time before the ref upstairs blows the final whistle. It’s so disappointing I won’t see us back where we belong Mowbray out Warnock in
  24. Entirely predictable result - although I said 2-1 Fulham. Fulham too good for us, and I cannot see why anyone thought we would win this match. Another wasted season wallowing in mid table but Tony's pension pot is much fatter. Will be going to Charlton next week for a good day out but there's no way we;ll beat them
  25. Sad to hear about Brian Pilkington. Another of these very good Burnley players who always seemed to be just that bit better than us back in the 1960s. Dementia is a vile disease.
