Not sure I care what Sir A says on the subject and South Aussie, you don't have to part with cash to watch the crap bolton serve up.
Theno, Tthere are other small clubs, Fulham, Charlton, us, who try to play decent football.
I think the main issue here is that the Rovers now have a small but vocal group of supporters who feel obliged to chant racist or far-right songs. I saw it at Celtic and Old Trafford. There have reports of similar events at Liverpool and the two european games.
I don't think there is a fixture that I look forward to less than Bolton. A shocking team of play actors with a long ball mentality. Absolute garbage. A complete and utter disgrace to football. And they brought ten fans last year.
Thank god I'm in Amsterdam celebrating my wedding anniversary.
If I can find it I'll dig out a new report called "The State of English cities" which is a survey of economic performance, growth and wealth. It makes for depressing reading for Blackburn. I've reported some of this before, but the town is ranked as the highest in terms of fall in family disposable income - quite a shocking statistic. I'll find it today at work and come back with some details.
The football we saw, in particular during the second half was as good as anything at Ewood for a long time. However reading the qualities today you wouldn't know that. We are still being completely ignored by the press and tv medias. i think we could win the Uefa Cup and they'd still be blathering about bloody Tevez or Harry or some other bugger.
One other thing, I remember some pundit commenting that you can measure the quality of a team by its full backs. Well the two Aussies are as good as anything this season, and who could have predicted that?
It's all about opinions....
but to call the Turk a liability is wide of the mark. Maybe your exile means you didn't see his performance during the week.
Apart from the final pass, the goalkeeper and can i add a lack of fight or desire to compete all over the pitch or close down our players or make a real tackle all night or have a single chance after the first 30 seconds.
Apart from all that yes, they were a decent team.
And there was me thinking it was a reference to a film which protrayed an episode in the Second World War when a group of young lads - many the same age as those who follow Rovers - sacrificed their lives by flying over Germany - which at the time was under the Nazi rule and was busy mrudering six millions jews, Gypsies, eastern Europeans, labour leaders, etc - in an attempt to flood the Ruhr valley.
Now football supporters singing about that would be sick, don't you think?
I think it's a reasonable question. I could also ask we some Rovers fans start singing about the IRA when they've had half a larger. What's wrong with "Get into 'em"?
