The sad thing is we might as well have not played with front men again

Best worked hard but his passing was off and Rhodes got kicked in the head and missed an easy header but otherwise they had nowt

Well if we go down this season the record may go from 34 years to infinity and beyond!

I can't agree about Best working hard, I thought he was immobile and his touch was woeful. The kick on Rhodes was as clear a penalty as you will see. Anywhere else on the pitch and the referee gives a free kick. Poor officiating.

Also was anyone else tearing their hair out with our refusal to simply put the ball in the box? In the first half we wasted two free kicks and a corner trying be clever and numerous times we had the ball out wide and tried to either dribble past a few or play a short pass

We wont go down this season ...

I couldn;t go today was hospital visiting but however badly we played .Most fans will remember the last minute goal ..

In a split second Dunny could well have given us impetus to get a win or 2 and my aim now is to finish above the Dingles ,who in all honesty have missed their best chance in 34 yrs to beat us ...

Things must change for next season (a proven manager would be nice ) but i have a gut feeling Burnley could really struggle next season ..

I have friends who watch Burnley and things are not rosy at all ...

Particularly when you have sent both CB's up and are susceptible to a counter attack when the ball is lost (as it was today).

yea set-pieces where embarrassing in the 1st half, like you said just put the ball in the box or have a shot.

Whose idea was that stupid rollback for Jones to fumble-juggle the ball. It was clever in the 70s.

He tried it at Bolton too and I'm sure he has a goal on his CV from his time at Wigan or Wolves doing that routine.

Darwen end

There was nobody in the upper tier of the DE.

I realise you'd all love to believe I'm sat in a darkened room, bottle of pills and razor blade in hand, I'm not.

It was disappointing to 'lose' like that but it's football it happens. You may ask how can I be so philosophical about it, we'll let me tell you. Firstly it isn't as though we aren't used to it is it? But the biggest single thing that makes it so easy to be relaxed about it is the fact that you are so massively relieved to have stabbed 2 draws in games, both of which, if you are honest, you all know you should have lost. It highlights so vividly just how far you've fallen under the new owners.

In the end it is a point towards our survival, we probably need one more win so we should be ok - to the clown who says we are going down, you do know you are still 3 points behind us, game in hand or not? Of we are at risk then you are even more so.

As for those claiming the ref gave us all the decisions? Dunn possibly a yard offside, Hanley not given his second yellow etc etc. as usual both fans feel aggrieved by the ref, it is ever thus. Little doubt that our dozy left back jumping into silly tackles, when already booked, cost us the game. I could understand it if he was taking one for the team, stopping somebody running through on goal etc but it was in a nothing area really.

Oh well, assuming we both do survive then we get another 2 chances next season but I do feel this was year to do it.

Don't want to think about how badly we played in the 1st half but we were a lot better in 2nd The relief at the goal was incredible. I can't remember 9 shots on target though, in fact I can only remember their keeper making 1 save which is the story of our season..

burnley are a disgrace. they had a chance to beat us today but blewit. their fans disgraced themselves (again). one steward told me the level ofv abuse he alone suffered forced him to pack it in at half time. they are an absolute throwback to the seventies. even 40 , 50 year old blokes swearing their heads off at little kids who had the temerity to wear rovers colours. absolute idiots. as for rovers, if we can't beat burnley who are playing 2 or 3 leagues above their station ,we have problems. i think bumley may go down this year.... deservedly. let them find their level

Agree with every word of that. We have our fair share of scumbags who follow us, but they take it to another level!

There was a guy blocking my pregnant sisters' view in the riverside, so she asked him politely to sit down. He turned round and starting shouting Burnley and giving the 1nil sign and shouting right in her face.

I had to be held back 3 times.

The guy was out of his mind, and didnt have a tooth in his head. He got thrown out, only to return a few minutes later- jumping around at the front of the riverside. again doing the 1nil gesture.

Our stewards are a joke, Particularly the head supervisor, who did nothing. Earlier the same steward had spent 20 mins on his walking talkie rounding the troops of stewards to find the chicken smuggler (I know him).

Other shameful incidents included pelting Rovers physio with coins, and other debris as Ollsen was getting treatment.

I have many Burnley supporting mates and would love nothing more than to travel to the derbies with them, but as these idiots prove its never gonna happen. For all those fans on here saying 'draconian restrictions' are overreactions, they only need to look at the antics today.

On the game itself, all i can say is "God bless Dunny". He's devastated my Burnley supporting mates; 2 cried! haha.

No mention of the time wasting which ultimately cost you? Wallace took an age to walk off although the referee was wrong to let him back on. What about the kick on Rhodes in the first half? Nailed on penalty.

In fairness I thought you shaded it.

I'm all for the banter and rivalry, Longers. Though your punches comment at the final whistle was a little uncalled for.

You seem alright, well almost! :P

Exactly ! looking at the pics theres doesnt seem to be too much smashed up rather than parts moved away from their normal fitted place.

Are you saying it was an inside job to discredit the Burnley fans?

Is it really clear who caused that damage for blame to be apportioned ? For me definitely not off those pics, who knows maybe other pictures can provide the telling evidence but not from those three.

Beans I meant it in a light hearted fashion, an attempt to make a funny comment about e quiet afternoon our keeper had.

The toilet thing, happens at ours as well, as does the seats thing. I don't see the point, it only costs your own club. I assume they feel they get something out of it?

In terms of the scenes at the end, I was led to believe it was 6 of 1 etc with both sets of idiots going at it?

Light hearted. I'll accept that, mate.

I agree on the toilets thing, seen us doing it at Turf Moor.

As for scenes are the end, I cant comment -on specifics- as I was too busy celebrating and making my way to the car park. I did hear about Rovers morons throwing seats at the Reebok the other week, so youre probably right.

The stuff that happened to my sister today was outrageous though.

Interesting that Burnleys goal came from a cross into our box. Oh dear ! how long must this continue Appleton ? and then Scot Dann ducks under the ball in the build up to our goal.

That's not an Appleton thing- its a Dann and Hanley thing theyve been doing it all season. The fact that they passed Shittu and another giant onto Lowe and Best from corners against Millwall speaks volumes.
