  1. Past hour
  2. And has been for ten years.....
  3. I get that, and I understand, my mate doesn't go to night matches any more. But to say I couldn't handle watching us play in front of 6000, then staying away because of it is adding to the problem. I'm sympathetic to the situation, but it's all connected. It's the reason I'm always sceptical when people say they're boycotting, it isn't boycotting if you weren't going in the first place.
  4. Interesting though that he was always the in the shadows ‘owner’s representative’, I.e not a formal corporate position, like a COO. Now he has nowhere to hide, so for that alone I’d be surprised if they didn’t bring in a puppet/in name only CEO.
  5. And if there are missing attendees from the club, then this should be high-lighted in the minutes with the response from the club representatives that are there.
  6. Always has been since he sneaked in!
  7. Bobby Bare - Streets Of Baltimore
  8. If the games where on at 3pm on a Saturday, perhaps Upside down would attend, so might many more. The complaint I think, was about midweek night fixtures, not the crowd attendance.
  9. Staying away because of the crowd figure, then complaining about the crowd figure, mmmm.
  10. ‘Lads, quick before you go to Marbs!’ Bit like that time we launched our kit on a manky coat hanger hung up on a rusty gantry.
  11. £4.85m? In view of the current contract situation I'd say even that was optimistic
  12. 'Derby/Boro get 27k at home, our fans don't come, that's why players leave and they pay more' Is the standard club defence mechanism for the deluded masses. Pointless pointing out Dolan was a first team player a few years ago earning £325 a week whilst this club has thrown £20k a week one or two year deals at the likes of Downing/Rodwell etc now Cantwell for very little in return. That isn't investment, the likes of Dolan are. Is he going to turn down even a two grand a week pay rise two years ago to stay on his current money to the end of his deal and just write off £200k so he can walk out into the unknown ? Is he bollocks but if people want to swallow that more fool them. He's been lowballed initially, changed agent and they've asked for big money, the usual stand off has happened, Broughton has left and its been shelved. SwagHail have eyed a bit of compo and the chance to swerve handing out a good contract. And here we are another asset worth a few million off on another sideways journey.
  13. Hard to be sure but my interpretation of the last 15yrs is the only leverage that's had a modicum of success is when the family name (and to a lesser extent brand name) is brought into things, particularly on a stage likely to be seen in India. I genuinely believe that this tactic, combined with non-confrontational engagement has the best chance of creating meaningful change.
  14. Great kit, horrendous marketing shots. Looks like it’s taken in someone’s garden, wearing trainers as well. Terrible
  15. Today
  16. Port Vale releasing a 150th anniversary kit. Looks a beauty.
  17. Professional Men who had the best interests of The Rovers at Heart indeed. Guided the Club through financial hard times as we watched other local Clubs tumble down the Leagues. I yearn for a return to those Days.
  18. Boycotting would give the club an excuse to downplay its importance…go, ask the awkward Q’s, keep shining a bright light into dark corners… …just don’t get sidetracked by the trivia of what flavour pies will be trialled next season 😉
  19. He's the one that parted the Vegemite Sea
  20. Was meant to be June, but a new date of mid July has been proposed. Aware there are loads of views that people should boycott, but if Pasha is cutting off all other communication with fans, I think it’s a meeting that should go ahead, tbh.
  21. Cold Tuesday nights in the dead of winter were hard enough when the times were good. No way would I be able to handle it seeing us play Swansea with about 6000 rattling around Ewood, depressing beyond belief.
  22. We scored very near to the end of the game if I remember rightly. I went over with a mate of mine who’s a Villa fan.
  23. Is that some Australian religious bloke ?
  24. When is the next one of these? You would think they would be desperate for some good publicity before the next one, be it a signing or whatever but I don't think anyone cares. Good luck with Pasha/Gestede and co, if they even bother showing up. Can they get away with just sending Lynsey Talbot to field questions and then they will "get back to you"?
