  1. Past hour
  2. I’ll either be right or pleasantly surprised.
  3. If this is our final squad then yes we're going to struggle. We need a starting RW and at least another option up top. I'd like the Swiss lad in regardless of Travis staying - if Travis goes then we need 2 in CM, or a switch in formation.
  4. Are Rovers producing a Matchday Programme to celebrate or 150th year...if not why not? Sigh.
  5. It’s never been about size, it’s all about what’s beating under the badge. Speedie had more aggression than all those wrapped up together and he wasn’t the biggest player on the pitch. The big lads on the pitch never worried me, it was little nasty bastards you had to look out for.
  6. The Offspring - Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)
  7. Good point! Surprised by his omission - let's be honest, we are short on goal threats.
  8. I was just editing my post to say something similar
  9. If you think a home 4-1 defeat to Norwich is the same as a 1-0 loss away to a play off chasing and normally top 10 team then that’s on you shall we relegate sheff United now then
  10. Firstly, I think you are right in that our expectations have dropped though the floor in recent seasons and we are in danger of getting a tad over excited when we see an average player following some of the dross we have seen (sadly I think De Neve falls into the dross category). Did okay yesterday but do wonder if he could have been stronger in the moments just before the ball ran loose for their goal as he fluffed his clearance. He isn't going to lose many one on ones, as evident yesterday, given his pace. Technically, I'm not too sure - looks clumsy with the ball at times.
  11. Which is what we could and should have been doing with the £45 million brought in. Half on new investments, some on new contracts and the rest into running costs Sensible. Sustainable. Instead the money has been used to help the owners avoid their financial restrictions brought about by their activities, they don't care what that means for Rovers. We need new owners who can and will reinvest and won't make the club suffer from their legal issues.
  12. We’ve both seen relegation teams before. The signs are there if you care to look closely. Having most of the ball and doing nothing with it doesn’t bode well.
  13. One game? Well, in our family, we all "knew" after Coyle's first game against Norwich. The suicidal transfer window was a key issue then, as well..
  14. I think lack of quality when attacking is the most worrying part. I think West Brom will be a mid table side and we created almost nothing. We should have had a penalty but still didn't deserve to get any points.
  15. 24/25 - just under 12M Euros aparenty, also about 7M the season before too This summer so far,, they made Hirakawas loan permanent - no idea what this cost, would imagine at least £1M-£2M, Randall was apparently £700K, & they have brought Vitek in on loan from Man Utd, He is highly rated, so would imagine that there is a sizable loan fee there too So, maybe around £20M over that past 3 seasons. During that time, they have managed to keep their squad together, only really having to sell Conway & Scott to balance the books. They have pretty much spent as much as they have brought in from sales, can you imagine if Rovers had done that with the £40M+ they have brought in over that time period?
  16. I heard on the radio travelling back from West Brom that Sousa has also gone. I completely missed that one. He was one of the top three Championship midfielders for me.
  17. I think attacking wise Brittain was a game changer at times and could have been yesterday. Obviously nobody is saying he's a world class player. Silly comment.
  18. I agree. Regarding Miller - he didn’t do much wrong but I couldn’t escape the feeling that he is a centre half playing fullback. The same feeling I get when Carter plays right back.
  19. Any update on why Tyjon wasn't selected?
  20. The Rolling Stones - The Spider And The Fly
  21. He played the other week for his club after he failed a medical here seems that way for sure who else could when Cantwell wasn't going to be risked by Ismael? I agree on Alebiosu who looked ok on debut but he got forward and try to do what Brittain did for us. Replacing Brittain was always going to tough task given his qualities and how he played the right back role.
  22. Alebiosu was OK in a knock-it-and-run down the wing and cross or win a corner kind of way. Still should have done better for the goal regardless of the attention of the opposition player. He doesn't worry me as much as De Neve and Hendriksson did ,as we have another potentially good option there with Miller.
  23. Whilst the pending exit of Travis is another of the growing and continued long list of Fcuk ups from the board citing relegation after one game is crazy particularly away from him against a team notoriously known for being decent at home it doesn’t excuse the performance and doesn’t shy away from the obvious failings of the team but come on we need to see what happens come first international break to get a clear picture look at Norwich at home yesterday spent well beat at home sheff u hammered at home watford deemed to have done good business then obviously Derby too one game (whilst underwhelming) can’t be the barometer
  24. If we’ve learnt one thing from yesterday’s game it is the Gueye and Ohashi aren’t on the same wavelength. I could see that when we tried it the last time against Millwall last season. Ohashi is a penalty box player, pure and simple.
