  1. Past hour
  2. Seems to be a few people saying that but he didnt look injured, just knackered. I dont think he went down the tunnel for treatment either but may be wrong and not seen anything post match. He is very limited in his all round game, but he does have a natural instinct for being in the right place at the right time and can finish which justifies his place in the team as its the most important part of being a striker.
  3. Not saying that is not the case, but has that been confirmed anywhere?
  4. left footed, fairly cultured, deep midfield playmakers too, Wharton, Edmondson, Vare, Dunn, Ball in the past few years
  5. Whilst having given 3 academy debuts and winning 2-0 against 4th place. Win our game in hand + 2 games and we'll be knocking on playoffs, could happen in two weeks. Mad old league. Won't happen though!
  6. We seem to specialise in producing centre halves. Any forwards we bring through appear to get snapped up by bigger fish before they have played more than a game or two for us.
  7. Litherland has a lot of plaudits in this section of the forum, a year older than Atcheson, but both have the potential to make it at Championship level (at least). Both did ok in National League North loans last season also Dlamini was a surprise selection, a winger (when we don't play with them) who has only played 6 times for the U21s this season, Joseph (an actual striker who has scored goals this season for the U21s) would have made more sense
  8. Interested that Litherland and Dlamini made 1st team debuts, I've not seen much about them on here. How do they look in u21s games usually? atcheson also has made the bench a lot.
  9. How long has it been now since there was even a sniff of a transfer rumour? Things unbelievably quiet on social media
  10. VI subbed him off because of a hamstring strain.
  11. Even if they are easy finishes, he is in the right place to put them away, we have had numerous strikers in recent years who do not have that instinct He offers very little apart from goals, but if he was a more complete player, we wouldn't have him
  12. Today
  13. So does this mean all the venky bots are correct that there isnt anyone out there that will touch us? Because I find that really hard to believe, if the information you have been told is correct then how do we get it out there that the club is available?!
  14. Articulated and measured superbly, well done
  15. I think I heard recently that England had only won the Ashes back once, since the 1980's, in Australia, which shows how tough and frankly how dominant the Aussies have been over the past 40yrs! Listening to TMS team, the coverage in my opinion has been really poor this time around, they all thought we were nailed on winners and when reality struck, they all spent the rest of the time telling us how bad ‘bazball’ is, as they’d been duped by positive press and media too! I’m unsure what will happen next with the current setup, I hope they keep the same people in post, as the past 4yrs has been tremendous for English cricket, but they have failed at the final hurdle and that may well see a change of the guard. All that said, I’m still looking forward to Melbourne test and more sleepless nights.
  16. Didnt see the game but caught highlights. We looked good for the win and Millwall gift wrapping us a goal helps. Merry Christmas. Great to grab 3 points at home, a nice lift going into this tricky period and airtime on Sky for Pasha out and the boycott reasons. Wins all round 🙂
  17. Gallagher played up front for us for years and never looked like the finisher that Gudjohnsen is. If you don’t think some of his goals are quality finishes you’re hard to please. He makes what are tricky finishes look easy. I agree the rest of his game is a bit shaky but the lad can finish alright.
  18. Cheating a bit but it is Xmas and it’s a good track - The Valentino’s - It’s All Over Know
  19. Obviously things are a bit raw just now, but this comment from Test Match Special was incredibly damning: This is the fourth successive Ashes tour in which England have lost the first three Tests. By the time Australia visit the UK in 2027, it will be 12 years since England's most recent Ashes series win.
  20. I'm not sure? Why is Sam Gallagher being brought into comparison?
  21. Think the most damning stat is 75 to 80% of seats were empty. A direct result of the Rao's ownership
  22. How many of his goals could you see Sam Gallagher scoring ?
  23. Maybe because the majority of people left in the stadium are not anti-venky.
  24. Good If he progresses further, he will be off Hopefully he progresses no faster than Rhodes so is here for at least 3 years 😉
  25. I like Gudjohnsen but I would say he's got alot of work to do yet before he progresses further. Twice yesterday he had the ball at his feet and didn't look comfortable carrying it, lost control with acres of space in the first half and then passed a terribly loose ball in the second, think then Val subbed him off which was the correct decision. We've yet not really seen him get a quality finish away, goals have all landed at his feet. A few nice headers yes but I think the commentary team said at Portsmouth, you wouldn't really see him getting goals like Ohashi's - If we can see more of that ability he will no doubt end up in the prem.
  26. Whilst that ownership took them to the top tier, they have also since turned the taps off, every window, their better players are sold and replaced by relative cheap punts from overseas Without knowing too much about it, I believe this may be at the behest of the CCP, who seemed to take a fleeting interest in football about a decade ago, but now seem disinterested and just doing the bare minimum. Inter had a similar issue before being sold a year ago
