  1. Past hour
  2. At least two of those weren’t part of our best 11 for the year before so I would argue your point is moot. It’s just potential issues, as per.
  3. GET BEHIND THE LADS FFS ( And the boardroom. And Sky. Don’t forget Sky. )
  4. The right back situation is an important one into next week. West Brom are really strong out wide. We cant be playing Montgomery there. Hes a young midfielder filling in and he will likely get run ragged. Miller seems unlikely to be fit even if hes signed imminently and he looks to be our most likely first choice so Alebiousu should be used there.
  5. Brittain, Batth, Beck and Dolan were all part of our best 11 last season and will be huge misses. Weimann will also be a miss as a squad player who can pop up with goals. No point pretending otherwise.
  6. Never seen so much defending of a club that is an absolute shambles. We're all loyal to Rovers but you defend every decision the club make.
  7. On what planet is Danny Batth injury prone? He was out for 6 games last season. 3 the season before. Going back through his career he hardly misses any games every season.
  8. I think Stanley are in for a tough season.Be surprised if they aren’t in the bottom 4 or 5.
  9. Joe Newell, Lewis Miller and Rudi Molotnikov all miss out due to injury – along with Nicky Cadden who is also unavailable for this one. hibs playing Dundee away @ 15 today
  10. Didn't they sign an injured lad from City then, Beckford or something ? Played about ten mins. Difference is the club was truly skint then not just owned by clowns dripping in gold.
  11. Yep. 2-1 is better than 2-2. Sounds obvious but apparently these days things are more complicated. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  12. We were chasing shadows for 3/4 of the game. All their players were technically accomplished, fit and faster than us. Pass and move off either foot. Play in to runners. We play walking football, they played running football.
  13. Haha nice. Until we see him in a Rovers shirt, he both is and isn't a Rovers player. Even Schrodinger would have struggled to explain the third option of 'even then he might not be'.
  14. ……or draw at say around 300-5, which would upset the bish-bosh-bang brigade but would be perfectly acceptable
  15. Today
  16. If there’s a way to keep both Trav & Tronnie, I hope it can be worked out.
  17. I'm not keen on Trav leaving at all either, although I do rate him ability-wise more than most. I think describing him as very limited is always a bit harsh. He's not the most technical of players sure, but I don't think he's as bad as people make out.
  18. Buckley AND Pears! Now I understand what RG was on about in his interview. He said exciting, I say taking a Hail Mary. VI obviously made it a condition of joining that doing the same things over and again and expecting different results is not on. He's decided to bin most of the team and start again. Brave man. With the exception of Brittain I'm not going to miss any of the departures, DB maybe but as others have said - ageing and injury prone. I doubted it before but I think Trav going may actually be on the cards given the clear out. VI is taking his punt and for good or bad reasons RG is going along with it. We could be looking at a near completely new team this year. Someone somewhere is confident and backing themselves though I confess it's not me. Good luck VI, you're going to need it I think.
  19. It is time now to give your minutes of the meeting. If the person entrusted to do them cannot get agreement of their accuracy then several versions will have to do. The gospel according to Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, all had their differing version of events, so if it’s good enough for them ……..
  20. Agreed, got to give Gestede credit for not messing around. Must be difficult working with a shoelace. No sign of a loan either which is good.
  21. See Hull have picked up John Lundstrum on loan. Another good signing for a club with a transfer embargo. Probably done better business than us this summer.
  22. Maybe limited, ability wise, but a big influence on a game, and when he isn't in the side we do seem to struggle. Perhaps it is time for a new broom though...and a new style of play to emerge from the chaos around the club.
  23. No reason it would be unpopular if it's true. It actually looks to have been a good pre season, like you say we'll just have to see now how good, or not,the new lads are.
