  1. Past hour
  2. He’s not scoring 16 goals last season from right back is he!
  3. Who cares about the media, never understood this mantra. Ignore them, they mean fuck all to anyone. Who cares what they think and write/post, if you do then you’re soft.
  4. A fullback with 14 goals and 14 assists in all competitions last season, I’m having all of that baby
  5. From what I saw on YouTube he's an 8 or a 10 - not a fullback
  6. The guy plays as a winger, normally on the right if I’m not mistaken. He has in the past played many other positions though so that’s probably where you got the idea he was a full back from.
  7. Another full back. Why aren't we signing Another forward
  8. Pickering is a steady 6/7 most games, a decent team/squad player. Remember we need soldiers and artists .
  9. Very happy with that signing on the face of it. Seems an exciting type of player, decent length of contract as well. Feels like a proper signing we can get behind. A striker next would be nice.
  10. We haven't really failed for a while. Under age groups dominating tournaments . Women's team dominating. And even the senior team has been successful comparative to our overall record in tournaments
  11. Imagine that, Rovers fans on a Rovers message board being unhappy that we’ve appointed a poor manager. Whatever next?
  12. Nonsense? Have to admire the certainty.
  13. Yes chaddy, in fact we have a number of massive holes based on last season. We dont know how any replacements willl do, but if we compare the team that finished 7th last season to this, some huge holes have been created. Brittain has left a giant hole both in defence and attack. Travis has left a massive hole both in effectiveness and leadership. Dolan leaves a huge hole. Beck leaves a decent sized hole. Batth was outstanding last season. For what its worth, I think McLaughlin is possibly our best signing. I think he will be better than Batth this season, who is aging, but its irrelevant. I dont expect him to be quite as good as Batth was last season in a Rovers shirt, so its probably a small downgrade which is probably the best we can do. Weimann leaves a lesser but still decent sized hole. Again, what these players do this season now they are gone is irrelevant. Some of the above players and their importance has been underplayed because they are no longer Rovers players. We have also lost a manager compared to last season who IMO was clearly better than Ismael, and is better than most in the league. Equally, I think one or two we already had eg Cantwell will do better this season. You seem to view things purely by counting players rather than on quality. You also suggest we havent missed players when we have actually lost 3 of 4 games.
  14. Has he gone to Derby yetπŸ˜„ Read their number one could be on his way out to Brentford
  15. This 100%. Hate English media, both ways , bigging them up and then destroying them when they fail
  16. I think they'll keep Hyam and Tronstad until January and hope that Carter/Wharton and Baradji have pushed them out of the starting 11 by then so they can be shuffled out the back door.
  17. Leonard - I thought we were getting a finisher. He’s missed more than his share of chances. He doesn’t look a finisher to me and apart from that he offers very little in the way of pace or physicality.
  18. Nonsense. More like he knows about plenty of brickbats he has received here and on social media regarding his ability. He knows he is going nowhere. And for the record, I think he is a good pro. Always works hard for the team and any given manager, sometimes looks less than average (cf all the criticism on these boards recently) sometimes produces top finishes.
  19. My first thought was "VAR would have ruled that one out"...
  20. Henrikkson appears to have caught the β€œ stupid yellow card β€œ disease off Buckley. In the WBA game another ref would have carded him twice. He needs to smarten up sharpish.
  21. For the record, disagree -or at least don't get all the hyperbole about the lad. Time will tell.
  22. Two things I remember Hildersley for was scoring a worldie at Shrewsbury and scoring at Welling in the cup.
