  1. Past hour
  2. Pleased Rovers won for you and those travelling supporters who went there yesterday lots of great points by you there.
  3. Spurs played very well against Man City. They pressed City and Trafford made the mistake he has in him. Its far too early to be talking about whether West Ham or Wolves will sack their head coach. Both teams need signings not sacking their head coaches. Its appears from media reports that Forest will sack Nuno after today's game. Not based on results but his comments over the lack of signings ad he has falling with the owner and sporting director. If it happens, then its a shame cos Nuno did a brilliant job there Villa problem is they need sell and sell to meet Profit and Sustainability Rules. Aston Villa: PSR or mismanagement? Club face harsh financial reality - BBC Sport Good win tho for Keith Andrews
  4. Bolton fans probably your best bet from his time there, always looked fast, good dribbler, questionable end product/decision making to me, a bit like Kargbo (not meant as a dig at either Afolayan or Kargbo)
  5. Anyone know anything about St Pauli forward Oladapo Afolayan? would cost Β£2m according to Alan Nixon
  6. Can see a few key players leaving over the next week.
  7. Today
  8. Just catching up properly on my last day before leaving the Florida sunshine, that’s a stonking win. Really pleased to see Hedges silence the critics (me) this week, I hope he keeps proving us wrong! Feels like getting that first win is a huge monkey off our back
  9. I still think Gueye will leave this week, problem is even if you don’t rate him we need to replace AND bring more competition in
  10. One very good win andit was, does not a season make, let's hope this fine form carries on here hopping πŸ˜€
  11. Yesterday
  12. It needs renaming because it certainly isn't Blackburn Rovers and hasn't been for 15 years.
  13. That's going to be hard. To chant in support of that muppet shows you have no fucking brains at all. It's not even his real name FFS! Uphill battle for us as always.
  14. Have to completely agree , brittain was performing at a premier league level last year, I thought he deserved a better move tbh. New boy had a decent game but the 3rd goal he got lucky with a trampoline first touch and a poor cross, their keeper should have lapped it up. Also of note was he pssed cantwell off by running through into a good position and then ballooning a shot, and he was mia when hull should have scored to make it nervy, luckily their winger was just in the pitch a minute and his touch wasn’t there. So yes fairly decent but far from perfect. I’d take brittain myself
  15. Who are you saying is unrealistic? Reckon they are all top level champ players currently
  16. Exactly. My post was in response to the several posts before it questioning why we keep signing 6ft and athletic players. There's no doubt we are selling off players in the last year of their contract and signing players to replace for less money but those players could be any size and type. There is a common theme which suggests there may be some thought behind it. Doesn't mean it's right, doesn't mean they are better and it doesn't mean I like what's happening. No dressing up required
  17. Also, would make no sense replacing a right footer with a left.
  18. Or perhaps he has upped his game hoping catch the eye if potential suitors before the window closes.
  19. In January then if we can free up a foreign player spot?
  20. Sheffield United are the stand-out surprise for me. Looks like they haven't got over the disappointment of the play-off final. QPR another surprise. But early days yet I suppose. Wrexham not pulling up any trees.
  21. Did Kapaudi sign a new deal? I can see them selling Hyam and signing him.
  22. After all thats gone on selling Hyam now is a complete no no.
  23. Watched with the Hull commentary, to be fair they didn't really talk Hull down, they gave Rovers all the credit and were very complimentary.
  24. I believe someone on this board stated this many days back. Could have another decent β€˜in the know’-er on here.
  25. What a good result. If every team gives Cantwell the freedom of the park like Hull did Rovers will be promotion contenders. Hedges will probably not score again all season. Tronstad was back to his best. Hyam looks shaky. He has a funny running style. the right back looked good. Ohashi also played well. Gueye needs to go to football school to learn how to play.
  26. Glad I let me heart rule my head - day would have been even better if Toth had made one save less! Hull were poor from minute one and to be honest looked like their whole team was playing with a virus with their lethargy - their 18 year old centre back also had a nightmare, way out of his depth. However, you can only play what is in front of you on the pitch and we did the job well. Goalie and defence looked fairly sound whilst our midfield found their feet with Cantwell excelling. We still need another striker, a quality one at that and one who commands automatic selection with his ability. Hope the injuries to Tavares and Kargbo not serious given our threadbare squad. Nice to get our first win on the board but make no mistake there will be far, far bigger tests and challenges ahead,
  27. You’re mental if you think we will go after these calibre of players
