  1. Past hour
  2. Even by the usual standards of being contrary this is surely talking the piss. A loan signing whose only contribution so far is using our medical facilities and looks he will be doing into November at the earliest. We’ve got a self imposed 10k wage cap but are happy to pay the wages of another teams player while he undergoes treatment with seemingly no timescale on when he will actually play for us. As batshit mental signings go, and there has been a few under Venky’s this one is right up there.
  3. They have now conceded 3 goals in 8 minutes at the start of the second half edit - finished 3-1, Powell with a consolation goal before Rovers went down to 10 when Leatherbarrow was sent off with just over 10 minutes left to play U18s are away to Leeds tomorrow at midday U21s are at home to Leyton Orient on Wednesday
  4. Indeed. Ironic that the last two ‘senior’ renewals they have done (with more than a few months left on their existing deal) has been for two Rovers fans!
  5. Eustace's Rams couldn't beat an egg last year until they faced Valerian's plodders. It was his first win there. What are the chances of a repeat? 😄
  6. You havent said your opinion on ("the plan of" signing a player out injured for months. You have done your usual routine of going round arguing with people who criticise the club, without committing to saying that you agree with the decision.
  7. Today
  8. Will point out that this is just a 1 year extension (albeit with an option to take it to an extra year), highly likely to be on the same terms as previous, given his injury history and connection to the club was probably easy enough to get done But it is a rare positive nonetheless
  9. ‘Hollywood’ Birmingham owned by a Chinese majority shareholder and a New York hedge fund.
  10. absolutely brutal conditions in wigan vs leigh,i doubt there will be many tries scored tonight
  11. Do you think John Fleck was a good signing? Only featured for 17 minutes but played well in a game we dominated whilst he was on. If we judge him solely on what he did on the pitch he’s surely an outstanding bit of business.
  12. i honestly think you`de still defend the regime if they released everyone and put 11 of their chicken workers on the pitch, despite us finishing the season on zero points,it was clear what the plan was
  13. I see Sky have billed Wrexham v Birmingham as the "Hollywood Derby". Cringe.
  14. Taken off after 41 minutes, so safe to assume he has broken down and will be out for a while.... again The plan was for him to play 60 mins
  15. what to clarify? I have said my opinion on this RF99. I judge a signing on what he does on the pitch. We knew he wouldn't be fit to play when we signed him and its would be 2 or 3 before he played here, yet some of us get yourself in twist over it when it was clear what the plan was for this signing injury wise and operational wise
  16. It’s starting to look like we could have waited until January to sign this Baradji chap.
  17. Signing an injured player does look as though it was the plan. Obviously it’s an absolutely shit plan though. The plan has contributed to us being in the relegation zone by the beginning of October, was that the plan?
  18. Easiest one possible to do, but at least its one done. Think he will be decent in league one. Let's see if they get anyone over the line that isn't a Rovers fan.
  19. He hasn't been near the pitch. That's the entire fucking point.
  20. You loan a player because you're taking a bit of a gamble, be it an experienced player who is lacking match fitness or a young talent from a bigger team/ higher division. You don't loan a player to replace a regular, let alone someone who was captain last season. Why didn't Baradji's parent club let him have a surgery during the summer? Why did we accept loaning him in, pay for his surgery and have him ruled out until November-December when basically half of the season is already gone? Either you play him straight away like Yverdon Sport did or you move on to another target. Sorry to say it but the club has reached a new level of "naivety" (correct phrase is 'cost cutting'). Tavares is struggling, Forshaw and Montgomery aren't good enough for this level, Gardner-Hickman is being asked to cover two positions simultaneously because we're low on numbers and/or quality (central midfield and right back) and Tronstad hasn't reached the levels from last season. No wonder we have lost five matches already with a midfield looking as weak as ours.
  21. I also moan about the horrendous way in which the club is run regularly, because it is warranted. So to clarify, you have no problem with us signing him (a replacement for our captain) despite a long term injury, because they explained as such when he signed?
  22. Much higher up? As sky-high as Rudy and Suhail? F**k sake. They even set up an unofficial Twitter account from inside the club to control the narrative during the summer. Wake up!
  23. Big Val with contacts in Switzerland, presumably his Zurich bank manager.
  24. Wasting time and money on a midfielder is all well and good when you have a strong squad and he's just there to fill a gap especially when you look at rovers desperate situation now, you can't say its Been a good signing in the current circumstances
