  1. Past hour
  2. I think we should be looking at Hernandez ex Norwich player, winger and wanted by Sheff Wed. of all clubs surely we have to table some form of contract? and if it's worse than Sheff Wed's then Christ we really are up shits creek.
  3. I think I read that he was injured in training during the first few weeks and never recovered, so that’s the reason he never played in Belgium. He won’t be a massive loss as never made the bench for the first team, but it’s hard not to feel sorry for him. In less than 12 months we’ve paid up two players in Mafoumbi and Sigurdsson due to registration issues, it’s simply not good enough!
  4. Heard a tail about Scholes the other day. Training at man ure Ronaldo had done a load of fancy moves other players couldn't do. Scholes says to him see that tree 50 metres away I can hit it in one can you?. Put the ball down and played a 50 metres pass straight onto the tree . Ronaldo couldn't get near it despite numerous attempts.
  5. There are always going to be better players who make the transition quicker to senior football you have named 3/4 there but the majority at a young age do some time in the 21s he clearly isn’t fancied my point was/is I think he’s being pushed out the door because our recruitment is based on - signing more players exactly like him little/no experience hence needing the slot
  6. Yeah a distinct lack of realism has been a consistent feature of Venkys from trying to sign Ronaldinho, to not being aware of relegation, to promoting Steve Kean, to letting our players go for free. How they made any money in business is beyond me.
  7. They will eventually reduce us to a level where a seat is no longer required.
  8. We played an 18 year old Dolan off the bat. Tyjon is in the first team this year. Finneran and Phillips were played at 16/17 year olds. He just clearly isn't good enough to justify taking that ESC slot.
  9. Thing is he could be good enough, just not ready for the first team hence why we revoke his ESC slot for a player who is currently 1st team ready (ignoring the fact he is a crock and no other team has touched him with a 10000ft barge pole)
  10. He didn't look good enough for our U21s in the games he played for them He also never really got above U19 level in France - failing to score above that level when playing for Nantes B team in the French regional leagues There are plenty of players who look ok at U18/U19 level who drop off when they move up an age group Rovers took a chance on him as he had a bit of pace, it didn't work out
  11. Clearly the fact he wasn’t never chosen in Belgium on his loan spell or here to play first team by any manager after watching him in training shows this
  12. He had to be loyal to players as we had no money to replace them
  13. How do we k la if he’s good enough he hasn’t played a minute for the first team and was bought for the future. Strange take
  14. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm missing international test match cricket! From what I can gather we have nothing until The Ashes on the test match front. Rubbish 😢
  15. Jeez, they're nicking old aged pensioners these days for protesting against what's happening in Palestine. That tells me two things, one-age is no barrier to protest if you feel strongly enough; two - protest is clapped down on hard these days. You can get nicked for causing too much noise at a protest march. You can go down for fourteen years for saying that Palestine action have a point. We're not far off of living in a police state. So someone telling me to get on the pitch and risk a criminal record, when they won't do the same because they've already done it fifty years ago when things were a lot more lax, I'm sorry, but no. Quite apart from the fact that the owners still wouldn't give a fuck. You could burn the ground down, they still wouldn't sell up. I don't know what the answer is really
  16. We took a gamble he wasn’t good enough, it’s a shame but that’s football, kindest thing to do is release him let him find his level and a fresh start.
  17. £4.50 for a Cruzcampo if you get to the ground early ... Not sure what difference it makes going earlier or ordering 30 mins before kick off or at half time other than to extort the already beer thirsty fans from the few pints they've had prior to the match ... Madness
  18. Yes, that is a scandal and as much an indicator of the corruption and ineptitude now endemic at the club as any other symptom we have seen in recent times. Good luck to the lad - the irony is that he will probably go on to much bigger and better things away from the club, than if he'd stayed under its wing. VENKYS OUT! PASHA SHADOW SKANK OUT!
  19. Yes it’s awful player management again and there’s another option too which is giving him his debut which would free up the slot but that would likely mean still paying him a wage just another player to add to the list that we have messed about with
  20. To cope with what’s going on, it’ll soon be topping up a flask of whisky with a drop of coffee!
  21. If I am not mistaken, a couple of the players were kicking off, about having to pay for the WAGS to attend a club event that had always been free of charge previously. For the sake of a few quid, they are pissing the players off, so no wonders a few are not signing new contracts.
  22. Anyone else feel sorry for Mafoumbi? A young French lad sold a dream who had the world at his feet at his previous club now cast away so his current club can potentially sign a crocked midfielder from Switzerland.
