  1. Past hour
  2. I've been accused several times of being a 'conspiracy theorist' for suggesting that the Club/Regime makes an effort to paint a picture and false narrative of events in a bid to get the media and fanbase on side and against the departing player/staff member. I think after what we have witnessed the last few weeks with Travis we can see what this Regime is all about. Vile, despicable, cowardly. A disgraceful way to conduct business and treat anyone let alone the club captain who has been with us for over a decade and made over 200 senior appearances. But only to be expected these days from this Regime. They belong in the gutter. I'm past the point of caring yet still feel embarrassment and shame to be even linked to this Club these days. And the only thing worse than that is still, after all these episodes and all this time, dozens of fans line up like obedient dogs to swallow the club narrative whole and be taken for another ride.
  3. It seems like there is no way back for Travis at this point. I can see Derby sticking to their original offer and Rovers will be so desperate by the end of next week that they will have to accept it. If Gestede digs his heels in then we are left with a player who doesn't want to be here and Derby will get him for free at some point anyway.
  4. I've seen it said that Baradji also plays right wing. So I'll not be 100% surprised if we don't get a separate right winger. What Baradji definitely can't do is come straight into the team (assuming the reason he isn't playing for his club is that he has had the surgery as believed).
  5. that's the thing with rumours, you get to pick and choose which you believe
  6. He's got a long throw, he's got a long throooww, Lewis miller, he's got a long throw.... To the tune ๐ŸŽถ he's got a long name Zyrab Khizanishvili
  7. Also, stands to reason that as Travis is one of our higher earners, this will also include him having higher performance/appearance bonuses/payments Another few pennies saved!
  8. I wish Rudyโ€™s data driven model would tell him and Suhail to resign
  9. it won`t make any difference to us whatever he goes for,the sell on fee won`t be invested in the squad,i hope he decides to stay at palace for the rest of his career๐Ÿ™‚
  10. I just have no confidence in this squad at all. I think they'll put the effort in, no concerns there, but I just don't think the sum of our parts is anywhere near the level needed to compete effectively in this division. We are utterly devoid of creativity, outside of Cantwell, which means we'd need to rely pretty heavily on set pieces. But we're terrible at those as well. Can't see how the current team is expected to achieve anything other than relegation. Other than that, looking forward to the game.
  11. Cats v Poultry - only going to end one way I'm afraid.
  12. Christ alive, heir to Kroos AND Modric. You'd think even in poultry terms they'd understand a golden goose when they see one
  13. It might not be his fault though, as you never know, what is going on behind the scenes.
  14. Today
  15. I hope he goes. I'd be sick to get any further compensation for him (thereby easing the burden on the Venkys and prolonging their toxic stay), but what an opportunity for the lad.
  16. Maybe when Rovers are in non league, some ambitious rich owners will buy us
  17. I wish Rudyโ€™s data driven approach would focus on some bloody attackers. Our current attackers couldnโ€™t unlock a door with the key in the lock. Iโ€™m looking at you Ryan Hedges ๐Ÿซต
  18. Still feels unreal that Gestede has managed to slither into a position of power. No experience. No credentials except for a playing career during which he showed how unprofessional he is when he refused to play for the club. This transfer window has been shocking so far. Our squad depth isn't good enough for us to sign an injured player in a key position and wait for him to get fit. We can't start Montgomery, for now he is nowhere near good enough and should not even be considered a bench option. Forshaw is past it and I have no idea why he was given a new contract. When we get more injuries our starting eleven will be extremely weak. We need to sign proven quality players but it won't happen because it's cheaper to just gamble.
  19. In my opinion we needed both Travis and Baradji. We're, at best, treading water replacing one with the other. At the moment we're still reliant on Forshaw / Montgomery to come off the bench to play significant minutes.
  20. Tronstad (May still leave) then Tavares and Montgomery.. and an injured Forshaw and Baradji.. the exciting summer commences!!
  21. If we werenโ€™t in desperate need I think in isolation baradji looks a decent signing but with a pending period out whether thatโ€™s injury / rehab or just needing to catch up it makes no sense as the right wing position needs filled with greater priority as for the account it is 100% unprofessional there is one name doing the rounds of who โ€˜sheโ€™ is
  22. No surprise about Trav, he's been training on his own (entirely away from the club) with a coach of some kind. He posted a short clip on Instagram a couple of days ago training in what looked like a small park somewhere. Surprised it wasn't mentioned more.
  23. Ashton, Gardner and Dyke - The Resurrection Shuffle
  24. Does anyone know if Baradji had his operation? He played that one game for his current club at the start of August, & hasn't featured again since
  25. I don't think he will given we have a senior game tomorrow. The under 21 game against Everton on Monday would have been ideal for him to play in but Goddard was picked instead. I think Barrett will play tonight as Goddard has been the third choice in first team games so far. It will be interesting to see what happens when/if Pears is available.
  26. For the next few months, our immediate midfield cover will likely be someone clearly not ready who was playing in the 9th tier last season. In goal, we might have a season where our immediate cover is an 18 year old who isnt ready. And our sub par attack from last season is now far worse with no sign of being strengthened.
  27. Wrexham AFC, the Welsh football club owned by two Hollywood actors, expects commercial revenue this season to rival some mid-sized Premier League teams, a sign of how its international fan base is helping it outperform off the pitch. Story in the FT. https://www.ft.com/content/9e9c67f9-fa26-42f0-940d-44d48fe105ba Ambition and a plan. And some say we should be grateful for the owners we have and we're a small club no one is interested in buying
