  1. Past hour
  2. Think Ruben just needs more time.
  3. It had a bad defence for sure but that squad contained Danny Graham, Charlie Mulgrew, Craig Conway and a few others all of who are a level above anything now. Doubt Mowbray or even Eustace would do anything with this lot.
  4. I hope he’s not on the EFLs negotiating team… https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c5yv8qj0y0zo
  5. Into the relegation zone we go. Lost more games in 7 matches than Sheffield Wednesday have in 8 - a team whose fans are in open revolt against their rogue owner, who are regularly having to play u18s due to barely having an eligible squad to pick from, who have been under a transfer embargo all summer, whose players often aren't even being paid... we've lost more matches than they have so far, having played one game less. 5 defeats in 7 matches, absolutely pathetic when we haven't even been playing most of the better teams in the division yet. That's coming soon, though, and I expect things will look even more grim by then. Exciting summer indeed.
  6. Sell your most experienced defender and don’t replace and don’t get an established goalscorer, selling your captain and midfield heartbeat to boot and yes it’s relegation. Sad part is I think a lot of folk have lost interest by now that it’s just a shrug of the shoulders when the defeats keep coming
  7. Oxford's draw at QPR puts us into the bottom 3, albeit we can lean on the excuse of having a game in hand on most due to it raining at Ewood against Ipswich. We can take some comfort that Sheffield Wednesday, with their unpaid players and points deduction to come, are for now below us. Sheffield United WILL climb the table sooner rather than later once Wilder gets them sorted out.
  8. For the last 15 years, the club has been held hostage by some very bad people. Supporting the club means trying to free it from those forces. That's support and that's loyalty.
  9. I’ll try but you might have more faith in me than I do 😁😁. As he’s moved abroad it’s the FIFA regulations which apply. Their rule regarding training compensation makes no reference to having tried to retain the player (see below) I believe the figure due for Bloxham would have been 120,000 euros (2 years at club x 60,000) or thereabouts (part years at a club are prorated). (I’ve made the assumption Grasshoppers are a category two club for training compensation, the highest category a Swiss club can be in). We got nothing for Dolan as he was 4 days too old for this FIFA rule to apply to him.
  10. I doubt this side would make it out of League One.
  11. 22mph Heard this shit before time after time.
  12. Pasha/Gestede strike again! 🇰🇵
  13. You’ll see the light one day Chaddy but it will be far, far too late.
  14. Today
  15. Leigh are tonight refusing to play Wigan at the weekend over the away teams ticket allocation. I’m sure it’s gamesmanship, but can’t say I’ve heard this one before.
  16. Not quite. It's called allowing our loyalty to be utilised by con-men, whose agenda is not about progressing you club we love. In that way, our loyalty is a crucial ingredient in the maintenance of a destructive process...( and I did buy a season ticket!)
  17. I've dropped you a DM to get further into this. We're on a relatively tight turnaround, but can make quick progress, hopefully.
  18. I feel like @wilsdenrover is the only man who could clarify the situation.
  19. I was wondering when that work was going to begin as they did predict many years ago that if they became a Prem club ever the Turd would need to be twice as big...
  20. Par for the course with some it's all about opinion and it's more about investing in a proper centre forward than him personally he's just a good example.
  21. Jack Walker, Alan Shearer, Derek Fazackerley, Bob Crompton.
  22. Mcburnie seems to have risen in popularity since summer, not many wanted him when we were linked, not good enough apparently.
  23. Yes they won't bat an eye lid because they'll console themselves with the hope Gudjonsson will score a bag full in league 1 and triple his worth. We could afford one marquee striker on decent wages given all the sales and wages off the books and whilst he might be 29 just look at Danny Graham for example and how he was worth the wages. Not only in goals but the way be brought other into play - helping increase their value - and used his experience leading the line. We can't afford NOT to have a striker with some pedigree they seem to have forgot Szmodics almost single handidly kept a stronger squad than this up.
