  1. Past hour
  2. I think they'll keep Hyam and Tronstad until January and hope that Carter/Wharton and Baradji have pushed them out of the starting 11 by then so they can be shuffled out the back door.
  3. Leonard - I thought we were getting a finisher. Heโ€™s missed more than his share of chances. He doesnโ€™t look a finisher to me and apart from that he offers very little in the way of pace or physicality.
  4. Nonsense. More like he knows about plenty of brickbats he has received here and on social media regarding his ability. He knows he is going nowhere. And for the record, I think he is a good pro. Always works hard for the team and any given manager, sometimes looks less than average (cf all the criticism on these boards recently) sometimes produces top finishes.
  5. My first thought was "VAR would have ruled that one out"...
  6. Henrikkson appears to have caught the โ€œ stupid yellow card โ€œ disease off Buckley. In the WBA game another ref would have carded him twice. He needs to smarten up sharpish.
  7. For the record, disagree -or at least don't get all the hyperbole about the lad. Time will tell.
  8. Two things I remember Hildersley for was scoring a worldie at Shrewsbury and scoring at Welling in the cup.
  9. Genuine question: would anyone (including Saudis) actually pay money for Buckley? I'm more worried that we will have to pay him off just to get rid... Leonard: was expecting clinical finishing when he got a few chances but was underwhelmed. Throw in the injuries and our current manager's preferences for "physical players" then he really does need to get out of Rovers to have any chance of a career. Do wonder if there may also be a contract related issue (eg if he plays it triggers a pre-agreed increase that we are desperate to avoid for someone that we don't actually believe has a future here anymore)
  10. Weimann started for Derby last friday then was subbed on 60 mins. He's never a 90 minn player. Also Baath subbed on 70 mins. Ok game dictates who you bring on but although these are two vastly experienced pros, a full game contribute from each is coming to an end. If Baath was playing for us against Brum his experience could have prevent one of the two away goals. Would have liked to keep Baath but not bothered about Weimann - but he scored an excellence goal at dingles.
  11. Today
  12. Yeah sorry was posting it for context... Let's be honest... And I like Trav... He ain't ever been linked with such clubs.
  13. Just returning the hatred you show us. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  14. I'm more hopeful than you about Axel... 1st game was clearly off the pace but I liked his cameo on Saturday - keen to get forward and could easily have had an assist if Hedges had shown a bit more composure.
  15. Itโ€™s way too early to make any judgement on whether or not players are being or will/wont be missed iv said this from the start new environments for all transferred players especially at champ level or below doesnโ€™t auto transfer previous form. Batth a rock for us last season by all accounts Derby fans want him out of the team already but he was great for us. Weimann scored important goals for us again Derby fans saying heโ€™s done so itโ€™s about the now as opposed to the past but 4 games shouldnโ€™t really be a gage of anything Ipswich sheff u Norwich qpr Wrexham all bottom 6/8 at present and not performing particularly well and for the most part a lot of the fans/management for the teams above citing new players and needing time
  16. Not said but I imagine central to replace Buckley.
  17. My early assessment of the incoming players mccloughlin- steady, composed, very good pick up. Really liked batth but appears this was a good swap. alebiouso- like his athleticism and physicality. Another good bit of business. I miss brittain but at least we replaced the position well. Baradji- looks a YouTube talent, canโ€™t comment till I see a few games for us. henrikkson- im worried about this one, he looks clumsy with an awkward running style and just not an athlete never mind a footballer. Not sure this one is going to work out. taveris- looks neat and tidy but tends to give silly fouls and questions on his fitness , burst at 60 mins. Think he will be ok but needs to get better fitness and a footballing brain. Birmingham loss was a lot on him for both of those reasons iv mentioned.
  18. When we say midfielder is that central? Or another winger?
  19. Don't mind signing them young, but before the christening.?????
  20. Steady, healthy load of Scottish supporters including myself for rovers. we are limited in attack but we have an emerging talent at hibs , Kieron Bowie, might make the step up required
  21. Or we could have had similar to Derbyโ€™s results and performances instead? Who knows ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ Edit - although to be fair they have played Stoke and Coventry who seem to have started extremely well, including Coventry scoring 7 at the weekend
  22. The Big win last Saturday settles the team. To be honest I am good with everyone in that starting XI except a bit concerned that our midfield is a little passive with Tavares in there. Hope he grows on me but seems to let the game go by him too much for my liking. Feels like he could be a good when we are on top, goes missing/becomes a liability when we are on the back foot type. Will watch him with interest.
  23. he thinks he`s an innovative tactical genius and everyone else is beneath him,he earned his dislike from rovers fans when he was managing swansea and his team training talk was about how "they won`t be able to handle us"(rovers) he also claimed after our easy win that the rovers bench was laughing at him,if you think we dislike him then go on google and see what the rangers fans think of him๐Ÿ™‚
  24. Donโ€™t know. Depends if you think we would have lost 3 out of 4 games, including getting dumped out of the cup off a league one side, with them. Maybe Baath would have defended that West Brom throw. Maybe Weimann would have scored against Bradford. Not sure anyone can look at our results and say we havenโ€™t missed them.
