  1. Past hour
  2. Why have Mowbray or Eustace never been linked with Buckley ? They know more than we do so it's quite telling they've never - to date - fancied snapping an out of favour lad they know well.
  3. I know we’re biased, but only one shirt really stands out, it’s not even a contest.
  4. We were a much better defence with Batth in there. Sad to see him go but would be in the same boat next season. Better to face the problem now than later
  5. Shame to lose Weimann and Batth, the latter especially...but it was always extremely likely that they'd jump at the chance to work with Eustace again. Debatable how many minutes Weimann would get next season under Ismael, but losing Batth who seemed to really help Hyam is a blow.
  6. Could have filled it last season against the dingles.
  7. Batth wanted 2 years he agreed with rovers a pay packet but the issue was the length of contract as stated before the majority on here laughed when he signed last year - next man up he could easily flop at Derby as for Eustace hes like a redknapp sort of manager likes familiarity itl b a trend throughout his career
  8. It's all a no brainer for Eustace as all he'll have on his mind is a better season than last, anything else will be a bonus. He must think his Christmas has come early after being associated with our shambles and now he's able to spoon feed off our incompetence. Fair play to him i say.
  9. 3 shrewd signings by Eustace - a pragmatic manager who wants results now and isn't sidetracked with all the 'project' or 'journey' bullshit. Think Weimann and Batth will be 1 year deals and will be big Rovers' misses. Defensively, we weren't the same when Batth didn't play and Hyam was markedly less effective in Batth's absence. Weimann was a great option from the bench when we needed something to happen. Don't let anyone pretend they are in the 30's and don't fit Ismael's playing style and won't be missed - that's feckin nonsense. Our 3 signings so far provide little comfort.
  10. Stockport signed former rover Tayo Edun on a free from Peterborough
  11. Weather in the form of thunderstorms and extreme heat playing havoc with this tournament. A for runner of problems for the world cup. Fans in 40 degree centigrade heat with no shade.
  12. Disappointing to lose Batth - we always looked solid with him in the team (backed up by the defensive stats). Decent championship experience too which is very important. Money must be extremely tight on wages, hence the on-going contract discussions; it will be interesting to see if we can actually keep any of our better players.
  13. At 20 there's still time tbh although I'm only slightly optimistic.
  14. I thought we were supposed to be implementing some kind of high press/workrate/energy tactic? Buckley doesn't fit the style we're looking at playing, Ismael left him out of the squad entirely for the last few games.
  15. we are going to miss batth badly,id`e pretty much give short odds on derby finishing above us this year
  16. And I don't think that RV account has ever got anything correct either.
  17. Eustace is the laziest manager on the planet.
  18. Those Derby scouts are earning their money I see.
  19. Derby apparently lining up Owen Beck on loan as well.
  20. The whole thing has been dragging on for so long it was inevitable that they were both leaving. The club now have a real problem on their hands as Dolan and Weimann were our 2nd top scorers (joint), even though they only manged 7 each. A problem highlighted further that none of our players got into double figures in the league.
  21. The irony is that they were both brought in on a free.
  22. Today
  23. They'd both be easily replaceable if we were willing to spend money. Alas.
  24. No surprise to see both leaving and for me personally both easily replaceable. Makes the Foreshaw signing a little more meaningful though. We're going to miss Baaths experience so hopefully our CB lined up has that.
  25. I hope we have a tough start, and get loads of points.
  26. Agreed ages ago but buried until we'd got some signings in, hide bad news behind good.
  27. Probably is worth keeping him. It looks like the players we are bringing in could be below championship standard. At least Buckley has had the odd good game. Poor most of the time. I think he is the level we are now at sadly.
