  1. Past hour
  2. Any half decent owners would want to strengthen the team and sort out the pitch.
  3. I should have laid more thought on this, I mean could it literally be more Rovers than to sort the pitch out ready for League One at the cost of strengthening the team to stay in the Championship.
  4. Obviously not enough commission in the deals.
  5. Away to the Tractor Boys but with no Makhtar Gueye…how will we ever cope?
  6. As soon as Val brought up the pitch issue after sheff wed game I/we all should have been ready for the excuses in advance. I certainly was. It’s the perfect excuse for him/them to lean on (nowhere near acceptable in my eyes but they will spin that narrative that the pitch was a must and we would/could/should have been 4/5 points better off etc)
  7. The next one for us to worry about losing?
  8. If that's true, it sounds like we should prepare for getting a couple of development loans on a basis of we promise to play them as long as we don't have to cover their wage/loan fees If that's the case, then they will almost certainly be at the tail end of the window, once the parent clubs have exhausted any fee paying options of where to send their players, although we may drop lucky and get another player who had a failed Championship loan and has been recalled (similar to Cashin)
  9. The guy who gave a summary of what was Said at that talk never mentioned this? So ismael is telling supporters we have no money for signings but telling the media he wants 2 forwards in? We didn't bid for Barnsley lad then?
  10. Today
  11. An empty ground should be a wake up call to the players ..time to pull your finger out ...this is what the ground will look like if you get relegated lads . Get used to it . Besides that theory of an empty ground being an advantage to the away team is a load of bollox ..they ve had the fans at home since August ..just look at our record at home this season . Abysmal ! Maybe they like playing to a smaller fan base like when playing away ..another dumbing down of the club
  12. I asked my dad at weekend if he was joining the boycott and he just looked at me weird and asked what I was on about. Granted he's in his 70's now but still pretty active on socials, still oblivious. You'd think in theory it would be easier to sort for us given the small fan base than for example Sheff Weds who had great success with it despite a much bigger fan base. Did they do anything differently? Not a criticism in any way of those trying, I salute the efforts. Just feels like it's so hard work to get anything like this off the ground at Ewood.
  13. Because the aim is to not only make a visual impact but to hit Venkys in the pocket. Admittedly one game won't make a difference but in my opinion this could be a turning point for a lot of people. I've had a season ticket all my life but I'm seriously considering not renewing next season.
  14. An empty ground, would help the away team, how about, no home supporters entering the ground for 15 minutes, with protests outside, for 15 minutes.
  15. When was there an announced boycott 10 years ago?
  16. Why so intolerant of people who don't share the same view or might agree with the cause but still want to watch the team and support the players? I'm not going but there's no need to hate on those who are, it only serves to create further division.
  17. I fell in love with Rovers in 1990, aged 9. Coming off the back of that World Cup, with the likes of Roger Miler and Toto Squillaci, I was ready… Born in Bolton, my Dad a Srilankan immigrant was already converted into a Wanderer and took me to games semi regularly. Then around this time he started a new job and had to work weekends leaving me at a loose end and desperate to watch a game. I played for a local team managed by ‘Mr Seed’ who was a Rovers fan and if you got MOM he would take you to the game as a reward. God knows I must have had a purple patch, but either way, I got hooked really quick. I fell in love with Blackburn Rovers and the rest as they say is history. Since this time, I would say I’ve held a season ticket for roughly 30 of the 35yrs. I’ve watched some of the most wonderful players grace Ewood Park but I’m pretty much done, too. For all the reasons stated on this thread and too many more to articulate. The truth is that it’s hope which drives our beautiful game. The hope of every football fan that it could be their year. The working man or woman’s escape from reality. That hope, that connection is almost gone now. It’s a flicker and I can’t bear to go anymore. I still love the club I remember, the club I was proud of but feel nothing for the one before me. Something akin to a victim of domestic violence, where I imagine you become numb to the pain. As painful as it sounds, I don’t want my children to experience this. My 9yr old daughter is just falling in love with football, and my boy is 4. I could take them to watch any team in the land and that’s where my head is at. I don’t want them to feel like this, so I’ve stopped going. I won’t be renewing and I just pray for the day Venkys leave. Such a shame.
  18. Please let that be true but the Venkies won't sell will they.
  19. Given Ismael openly told attendees of the “business club” night this week that they had purposely withheld “budget” in case the foreign recruits needed help come January, but that budget has been reallocated to a new pitch, I don’t expect to see any credible signings.
  20. We're merging topics again folks 🙏
  21. Their wealth should be an asset, instead it's the problem, unlike other owners who were/are losing money, they don't need to sell.
  22. Exactly this, it really hits you when ‘but Rovers are at home?’ doesn't matter any more.
  23. Is this thread not local newsworthy? Can it be covered in the telegraph? We need to get the word out to all generations about the current fan sentiment and the boycott so that all know it's happening.
  24. There's no point repeatedly mentioning these deadlines. Firstly, they were never deadlines, just times Val would like to have players in by. Secondly, we all knew it wouldn't happen, including yourself.
  25. We're putting a tit against the Trotters? Sounds like bestiality.
  26. Time is ticking to get all the players in for the deadline already pushed back by a week. Regarding Mumba, his name has repeatedly been suggested over a number of years. Im not convinced firstly what his best position is, and also that he would be a particularly good signing.
