  1. Past hour
  2. I'm not especially well travelled, but I don't think he's having much to do with saloons currently
  3. And don't you dare bring a bag of monster munch either - that'll be seized and you'll face a 3 year ban
  4. Wish him all the best, always tried his hardest, his temperament was never in doubt. I never understood the vitriol towards him. I wonder if those who used to say , if he wants to go I'll drive him there myself, realised it would be to the Bernabeu rather than Barnsley.
  5. Maybe he thought “ I’m now drinking in the Last Chance Saloon, maybe I better get my finger out “ ?
  6. It sounds like anybody hoping to carry a waterproof coat in their bag just in case is going to be out of luck given the new policy.
  7. Let's hope it's not a Norwich omen, they beat us in the last home match.
  8. The WATR AGM was on the 25th June. 3 or 4 days later a welcome communication came out saying the officers had changed. Nothing has been heard of WATR since. Is WATR and the Coalition still active and operating please?
  9. He could be infuriating at times but you couldn’t fault his effort. It’ll be interesting to see if they can coach the faults in his game out of him, if they do they’ll have a good player on their hands. He was always going to be a better bet than BBD because his willingness to work 100%.
  10. Today
  11. Maybe he struggled with where he was being asked to play, and by that I mean England
  12. It means it is going to piss-it down.
  13. Yeah, thought the same myself. It's generally a decent listen, if you can get past the 'fought' (thought) and 'fink' (think) from the LET lad. The second guy, with the southern accent, is a bit annoying though. He tries to use words and phrases that he doesn't actually understand and he'll flip-flop entirely at the slightest challenge of his opinion. The Blackburn End pod is slightly better, though one of them constantly refers to Birmingham as 'the blues'. As a Rovers podcast, you'd expect 'the blues' to be in reference to Rovers. I'm a petty, petty man.
  14. Sorry, I can't help recalling what he said was the worst day of his life...
  15. We've got a yellow weather warning in the Ewood area, for this coming weekend - whatever a 'yellow weather warning' entails.
  16. Yeah, JDT's 'flaw' was not having the quality of players to work with, who could execute his style of play. That said, a few players developed hugely under him. And a few others spoke very highly of his coaching ability and tactics (Szmodics, Wharton, etc). Had he been backed in the transfer window (Undav / O'Brien), we'd have returned to the Prem.
  17. Got another goal tonight in a 2-1 win.
  18. He is 23 so plenty of opportunity to iron out his weaknesses and build on his strengths. Liga football could well be more suited to him than the Championship. Brilliant to see his great start - let's hope he can keep this going.
  19. Weather is looking awful, let's hope there's no late cancellation again. I fancy a 1-1 draw with Gudjohnsen starting and netting on his way to 15 goals before January and a £10m move to Southampton
  20. JDT certainly had flaws but he clearly wasnt "out of his depth."
  21. The Arte Et Labore pod is mental with it. Was absolutely shocked to hear the change in views on that podcast that came out Monday.
  22. Mm, get some good reading matter in, thst could be a very long wait.
  23. Well in terms of Rovers yes -ie standard MO of messing a player about and being economical with the truth.
  24. Diploma in Sport Directorship I read that very quickly at first -thought it said Sport Dictatorship.....
  25. I agree with you. He was competent but had many faults, just like most Championship players. I watch very little Spanish football, but it is slower and less physical than the English game. Both these aspects will suit Dolan as I felt that oftentimes he was not physically up to it. It is very early on though, he might be on the outs come Christmas. Or he could be the next Vinny Samways. I'd have thought that if Dolan was "good" another English team would have taken him. I don't think Espanyol would have been a club that was on his radar in June. We will never know though. Anyway, he's gone, probably never to return. I'll await the time when de Neve reaches Dolan's level instead.
