No doubt she'll have to sign the usual ( keep your gob shut on this shit show ) NDA and get a better pay off with the stuff she probably knows 😉 - Today

+ notice pay (for Lesley the statutory minimum for this would be 12 weeks). I imagine she’d rather be keeping her job though. -

Very true and capped , unless you can agree an enhanced package If you were made redundant on or after 6 April 2025, your weekly pay is capped at £719 and the maximum statutory redundancy pay you can get is £21,570. If you were made redundant before 6 April 2025, these amounts will be lower. -

The week's salary isn't your actual weekly pay either...it's capped.. -

My father in law who has been going since the late 1950s hasn’t renewed, for him it was the TV factor. He has Sky and he has a fair drive to games, so the fact he could see two thirds of our home games on TV made it a much easier decision. -
The 2027 thing is a quite unbelievable stat… well, it would be anywhere else. ‘A slow build’, indeed.
-
well in all fairness, half the squad is out of contract next summer, so everybody who is left will all be needed in the first team squad, leaving a loan manager as quite superfluous And the rest of the squad (apart from O'Riordan & Atcheson) are out of contract the summer after, which presumably means they can sack everyone else at that point, to save a few more quid
-
We currently have no first team players contracted past 2027, so no surprise there.

Yes - a real downside of the ever changing kick off times is for many this messes up transport. Is it worth (on these forums somewhere?) seeing if there someone near you who would carshare to matches? I live in Swindon and I did that years ago on here and someone messaged me and I was able to get to a few more games. -

I won't be going to most games this season, because of altered kick-off times that i cannot make due to public transport. -

As the WSL are increasing (perhaps understandably) the requirements, the the costs will have jumped - which against our very poor attendance figures is the nub of problem we presume? Yes, poor comms from the club, they should have shared the position / challenge. Now, the 'Supporters Coalition' has called for action, presumably many don't want to see the team disappear. So perhaps the middle ground would be if there is a big jump in the costs, then the club could match whatever extra 'raise' through extra season tickets etc. People understandably want to rally around, so let them. -
For next season only - some proper long term thinking going on there.

It's only 1.5 weeks pay for any years worked over the age of 40, 1 weeks pay for anything before that. No idea how old Leslie is or the annual salary for that position so like you say guesswork with circumstances. Hopefully they have looked after her with an enhanced package but probably unlikely under this regime. -
I’m not, no, as it makes no material difference to the team, kind of the point of selling players.

When Glen said he'd had confirmation long serving staff had been made redundant, she was the first to come to mind. -

You have to wonder what benefit this has. I've seen her on countless Instagram posts from past and present players and it seems like she is loved by everyone. Another tone deaf decision by the club. Another question for Waggott at the next forum "your wage has increased by almost 100%, whilst long serving staff are made redundant, explain that one." -

We need the ‘Head of buttoning top buttons’ to have a word with him

I replied to you mentioning the fee. Sorry, didn't realise when you mentioned the fee, you weren't actually interested in the fee. Remiss of me.

Exactly, matters not what he went for in the first place, will matter not for his next move… doesn’t mean we can’t find the behaviour of the regime re bundling him out the door to the first bidder a fitting symbol of their chronic mismanagement.
-
Wrong here again RF99. My list including 2 keepers and left back which now we don't need 2 keepers but only 1 and with Riberio signed up we don't need a left back signing hence why the number has come down. Also I disagree we need a right back signing with Gestede. Wishlist:- Keeper Centre back Centre midfielder maybe 2 if Buckley is move like I would 2 x right wingers Striker Sell:- Pears, JRC and Buckley Contract renewal for Batth and Weimann. New contracts for Brittain, Tronstad and Travis

Makes no material difference to Blackburn Rovers whether we got £2 million, £20 million or £200 million for him. All it does is affect how much the regime have to find from elsewhere to keep the lights on. As far as I am concerned the less the better, at least it is one less revenue stream and hopefully one step nearer breaking point for those responsible.
