Lowe like Benson has always seemed well regarded by the players so whatever his actual coaching abilities it's another cog from the dressing room gone. -

Its close to being a L1 line-up apart from Cantwell and possibly Ohashi. There's no doubt that Venkys will be content with that outcome. -

With that team we would be cut adrift by October with no prospect of recovery. Would be relegated with a record low number of points. -

I did hear that Lowe, had a weekly report on the happenings and the club, sent to India. I also heard, he was once sacked and reinstated, due to this. -

Holding off getting a 'regular' season ticket for now, as weekday games are a bit of a faff to get to due to work. Last season I got the flex ticket, which having just moved back to the UK in Jan was a perfect solution. I thought I read somewhere (or maybe I imagined it?) that there was talk of doing a 15-game ST or something similar - is this based on anything factual?

Never been a Lowe fan and seems Eustace sought to isolate him. However, for Rovers not to even confirm this departure is poor. One does wonder if this is litigious. -

I posted back around April that I'd been told the senior players were annoyed with the manner of Eustace's departure, the lack of ambition in the club and their general dealing with the board (who I took as Waggot / Pasha). Since then Baath and Weimann haven't re-signed. Brittain wants out. No progress on Tronstadt and Travis. The club know this and so far our recruitment seems to be to replace them on the cheap. -

Maybe Brittain saw Alebiosu in training on Friday and thought "fuck that, he's going to take my job" π -

Elliott Jackson said that Ismael hinted that we would potentially go with Alebiosu and Montgomery at right back. That would be ridiculous but it would be cheap and help them to hit the arbitary academy minutes target so wouldnt surprise anyone. -

Think even a clone of 1/4 of each of Ferguson, Pep, Ancelotti and Michels would struggle with that starting eleven. -

Sign Alebiosu on Thursday and on Friday Brittain has suddenly downed tools, as if Boro had just emerged out of no where. I suspect Boro have been in contact with Brittain for some time, hence why he was "close" to signing a new deal 3 weeks ago, which never happened. The club will have been after a right back anyway but i'm sure they were aware of Brittain's desire to leave, and so moved for Alebiosu as his replacement, once it was clear he wasn't staying. Let's not forget that the club instantly turned the whole situation back onto Brittain by saying he chose not to play. Now the majority of fans (on social media at least) aren't bothered about him going, calling him a snake etc. or "he's only had 1 good season". Job done from the clubs point of view. Might get a loan from the prem later in the window as cover but yeah, Alebiosu is CB's replacement, 100%. Edit: Also, how many times do we sign a player and in their interview they say they've known about our interest in them for a long time. These things don't just happen overnight. -

When he played last season he didn't cross when could have and preferred a back pass. Same on Saturday. Good ball control and hungry player. -

Alebiosu is 23 years old, has played over 50 senior games and cost us a fee. He's the replacement. The cynic in me says he always was. -

Yeah the replacement may well be albieosu. From all accounts that young lad Montgomery was the best player on the pitch on Saturday, I've read? Maybe they will have those two competing for the position who knows? It would seem strange to sell both him and jrc and rely on two lads, with little to no championship experience. -
It doesn't matter at Rovers once the ink is dry on the contract you can say what you want. You might rile the SD or CEO sorry COO or whatever his imaginary title is but they won't sack you because A - Can't afford to B - Don't have the outright power to do so. So once feet are under the table you are quids in, won't get sacked, do well in difficult circumstances but regularly hint at your frustrations and other clubs will be watching. Then engineer your own exit, may take a while but it'll come and even though those above you are aware they can't do anything about it unless Pune gets angry. Even then they'll try and head it off because they also might get the boot for recommending you in the first place. They'll also get a pat on the back if they rake in compen. Ismael will view this like the others as a stepping stone back into a better job and more money all he has to do is keep the team stable in the league and try and coach value into individuals. The big lad is quids in here regardless.
