TBF 4000Holes was usually so comprehensive that it didn't leave much room for much else to be said. I'll never forget when I got my first copy. It was the now legendary Alan Fettis game. Sat in the riverside and got absolutely piss wrapped in the April (I think) snow. - Today

Attendances do ebb and flow with the sucess on the pitch but there's been a toxicity about the place for the last 15 years that's caused a large number to leave and not return. Shit performances are not the reason why so many have walked away to not return. Shit performances are not the reason why the attendance has dropped from 25000+ to scratching 15000 on the best of days. We just sold off the spine of a team that finished 7th to replace them with cheap nobodies. Anyone who didn't think this had a high chance of ending up in a total disaster is quite simply thick as pig shit. The fact those in power chose to do this, rather than strengthen and bolster the squad to have a solid crack at promotion is the reason why so many have turned their back on the club. This is just one more thing in an endless list of similar things that have happened over the last 15 years. Remember only a few months ago when our manager left whilst we were in 6th place to join a club in the relegation zone? You don't get people pledging 'Not A Penny More' because of some bad results. You get that when the heart and soul has been ripped out of the club and those responsible arrogantly deflect all responsibility for this onto others. -

Fans stop going due to lack of success not because of who owns the club. In Rovers case, the ownership has clearly resulted in the lack of success but had we somehow been successful under Venkys the fans would not have turned their backs. Most Rovers fans, whether they attend or not still want the club to do well. -

Ah, so you completely miss the point as per usual. People haven't stopped going because of shit football. It's all the other bullshit that's been going on for 15 years. -
Even neutrals are touting him around for 100million now.

Theyve definitely downgraded though. Forest do have a strong side that theyve massively bolstered this summer.

Actually, it could be another Fulham, we are devoid of everything you need to be a proper Professional football club! -
I am not sure about that, I think they over achieved by many folds last season... It happens in football, Burnley once finished above half way!

How about Kendall, Moran, McKenzie and McNamee? Just fancied something random -
Got to be all the ‘Mr Blackburn Rovers’ for me: Bob Crompton, Fred Pentland, Jack Walker, Tony Parkes. I had to put Pentland in for variety and the fact I can’t split Dougie and Ronnie.

The Forest fans are already signing "you're getting sacked in the morning" to Ange after an embarassing defeat at home in Europe. Marinakis is a prick but to be fair, his ambition and spending you cannot fault. But hes had a shocker replacing Nuno with that clown.

I don't get to go to games often as I don't live near Blackburn anymore, but made it to the Charlton game last week. It cost us the best part of £100 for the day, and then we proceeded to basically do nothing for 90 minutes. The entire second half you could barely tell what was happening because the entire game was played at the other end of the stadium! That's not a "football isn't as good as it was", it's a "the football is so uncompetitive that there is no entertainment value whatsoever". It was my partner's first away game and despite my talk of how fun away games have been for me in the past, it was depressing. 30 minutes of half-assed chants following by 60 minutes of almost complete silence because there was literally nothing of value happening. It'll be a miracle if I ever persuade her to go again. -

I'm going to go 0-3 on this one. The change would have to be seismic for us to get anything out of this game. That said, it is absolutely vital that we do. Going into the break with 6 points and then coming back to an absolute spanking from Coventry would be the final blow to what ailing confidence their might be both from the players and the fanbase. -

The way these alledged custodians of the club, have destroyed Jack Walkers legacy, i cannot blame anyone for not attending. I myself still have a season ticket but after 56 years of attending, that will terminate in in May, enough is enough! There is no heart, no soul in the club! For gods sake put the club up for sale or administration tomorrow! -

Hopefully there is a modest mutual agreement amount signed into his contract otherwise he'll not be going anywhere even if he tries to get himself sacked. -
Just think if our wonderful owners had gambled on he, Smodicz and and a good centre forward? But no cashed out as soon as possible... We promised to uphold the legacy of Jack Walker. The lying bastards!

I think the terrible summer window sums up the issues we have in basically every area of the pitch in terms of selection. In defence, we had one of the better back 4s in the league last season. Now, as a result of one solitary injury to a player who is always injured anyway, we are left with 2 centre backs, one of whom needs nursing, and both are left footed so we will be left with a full back at centre back again. No wonder we look so likely to concede. In midfield, we brought in 3 players and none come close to filling the "replacable" Travis void. The loanee we desperately took last minute from the B team of a side in League 1 last season is the default pitch. The other 2 include a player in Tavares who is terrible and another who the other day on the team photo still has his foot in a brace. Attack is as problematic an area as any. We simply do not look like scoring very often despite signing numerous players. We signed 2 in De Neve and Henriksson who often sit on the bench despite needing a goal in favour of not using all of our subs. Hedges after the excitement of his seasonal goal has regressed to the mean and the less said about Kargbo the better. Morishita has shown flashes but often has struggled to get involved. And we will likely go back to our very average striker having seen our fancy new one having been happily waved away by his Belgian club show his inability to control a ball. -
