Nixon's piece de resistance has to be his unwavering support for an American taking over the Club pre Venky's by the name of Dan Williams, a seemingly fictitious character who it's far from clear ever existed. Someone was pulling his chain big style with that one.

He gets a lot of rough treatment and no protection from Refs yet he gets called for "flooring" 6ft 6in built like brickshithouse defenders he's what 5'-6". Noticed Frankie Lampards Japanese player got lots of calls. Just the way it is, no conspiracy, just odd. -
If you're on about that Kevin Maguire fella, I wouldnt put him in anything like the same bracket as Nixon. On the whole I think he is reasonably well informed, fair and balanced.

Yes Rev some of VI's subs just do not make sense to me. Recently he oulled Ohashi and he was looking most likely to get us anything many more too. Like bringing on BigMac.and taking off the olayers who might be able to provide crosses -

Blimey not half some revisionism going on here - Sorry, Hedges is an absolute shocker. Corry Evans, Jason Lowe and Sam Gallagher enjoyed extended periods at the Club as well for some unknown reason. -

Strange one that unless it's a mistake. Wellington Rd today runs between Galligreaves Way and Stancliffe St. On the way to Ewood. Completely different area. -

Its not always been unfair. From an attacking position, throughout his time here he has failed to contribute anywhere near enough. His effort is always there but thats not enough to avoid warranted criticism. Maybe at times that criticism has been hyperbolic but hes not done enough for general criticism to have some merit to it. I think playing him as a wing back really suits him though because there arent those same expectations going forward. You touch on the terrible 23/24 season not being because he was injured. That certainly is correct, even for Venkys it was a particularly terrible season in terms of off the field stuf. -
We arent really a club that is transparent or capable of communicating properly. Case in point, the fans forum.

At best part of the area hatched in yellow above would be the "incline". What's the small picture insert meant to be? I dont recognise it from round Revidge way. -
Fans Forum/Roverstore/Commercial Chat

The fans forum was fine when they could talk about pies and stuff whilst the other fan consultation meetings were happening independently . But now they only hold the FF, its makeup doesn’t appear to cover point 128.1.2 above. -
Realistically I can't see the Forum members themselves proposing a vote of no confidence in anyone. You'd hope though that the individuals in question would have the decency to do the right thing and fall on their swords and resign because as DE has correctly identified above the Forum is now a) a complete waste of time and b) is complicit in the Club manufacturing a false narrative of events.

150th Anniversary kit/celebrations

Disagree on this Parson - whilst a motion may have been passed at some point that we should play in white shirts, there's no evidence to say we actually did so, whether it be for a week, a month or a season. Who's to say there wasn't a change of heart the following week? Either way by 1878 we were already in the recognisable blue and white halves, not just shirts with white in as you're making out above, so any period we did play in white for must have been so insignificant as to be virtually irrelevant. "The choice of Club Colours also had its roots in the Public School background which so many of its members shared. Both of the Hargreaves brothers and Doc Greenwood were Old Malvernians and it was decided to copy their quartered shirt design, but to replace the traditional green with a Cambridge blue." Blackburn Rovers - The Complete Record Mike Jackman 2009. That information is logical and consistent. What was the original source for that assertion and why is it suddenly any less compelling than some minutes which seem to have subsequently come to light? -

The one who played in a three all draw against Barcelona in the champions league today? Seems like our market. -

There is no primary source ( or zero evidence, as you put it) to suggest that the club played in Blue & White during their first season. There is a primary source, published by the club in 1909, that shows that the club passed a motion to play in white shirts with a blue Maltese cross. This was proposed and seconded by founder members of the club. By the time of the first known photograph (circa 1878/1879) they were in shirts which some players had white on the right hand side and some had white on the left hand side. -
If transfermarkt is anything to go by there's slim pickings. Rui Patricio ex of wolves and Portugal is 37 and has settled status for a work permit Fraser Forster likewise 37, there's a keeper who's been on the books at spurs and middlesbrough called Glover, 27 and no senior appearances to speak of. Thomas Vaclik, 36, Czech international spent some time at Huddersfield would get a permit. Stankovic, 33, 4 caps for Austria last club AEK Athens, calculator recons work permit goes to a tribunal. None of them really inspire confidence.

Who would have thought not strengthening the goalkeeping dept would come back to haunt us so early ?

Terrible news and will likely cost us points.

It is not the end of the world. It just makes a hard job, harder. It might give Michalski an earlier than planned chance.
