  1. Past hour
  2. "Internal discussions with relevant club staff will now take place regarding the structure of the Women’s team going forward." In other words, what's the bare minimum we can get away with, minus about 10% on top.
  3. We’ll be the best funded team in that tier right?? Coz they’re complaining about the increase in cost not what they have been paying right??
  4. That's an incredibly generous interpretation.
  5. … make that a voluntary double relegation https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/june/04/club-update---blackburn-rovers-women/
  6. As far as we know although it's by his own words, so take with a pinch of salt, he was instrumental in getting Eustace in and getting Mcfadz etc and that kept us up. However he must've played his part in not backing TM, JDT and also not moving Mowbray on earlier plus there was all the Broughton stuff and 11th hour signing failures so he's still a twat. Thing is though next time we are in the mire who has the hand on the tiller without out any assistance ?
  7. It was probably not common knowledge, where he lived. Whoever owns the property has done so for 27 years, so I suspect he was renting it. Assuming he is to remain in his post for now, he needs to live somewhere and can’t hide from everyone.
  8. We got minutes into an academy player!
  9. Im not sure he does look capable to be a regular. He is a midfielder, he started one game at right back and got sent off. Mind you, this club dont care about capability.
  10. Today
  11. Interesting , I wonder if Val has had enough yet ??
  12. The price they paid for the club was nowhere near all the money Jack and then his trust put in. Why do they think they should get every penny of their money back. Dickheads.
  13. I expect Brittain to leave with Montgomery taking his place. The lad looks capable enough. Low earner replaces high earner and a possible fee for Brittain too. It's almost inevitable
  14. Should probably start a thread on how soon Ismael will be pissed off enough with the clowns to leave. The way the transfer window is shaping up it could be before the season...
  15. He joined us from Man U. Was one of our early guests on the podcast & was always very helpful to BRFCS. The day after he left, Rovers unfollowed us on Twitter which was a level of petty I always begrudgingly admired…😆
  16. The thing that they have to realise is there's three scenarios 1. We get PL money and they stand a chance of clawing their money back - but they need to run the club properly to do that 2. We stay in the championship and they hold out for their 200m but end up pumping in more and more money to maintain a championship club and before long 200 becomes 300 becomes 400 3. They stop putting money in, we slide down the leagues and suddenly they're asking for £200m for a league 2 team. That £200m is dead money. They need to write it off.
  17. Managers like Cooper and O'Neil were out of our reach, according to the 3 stooges. Let's see if Boro have any genuine ambition with their next appointment
  18. Middlesbrough just sacked Carrick, no big surprise I wonder if Steve Cooper or Rob Edwards are the most likely options there. That leaves Boro, Bristol City and QPR(?) on the look out for new managers.
  19. He'll likely leave this window because the club want rid of him. He's at an age we don't want to be giving contracts out, he's on a wage that we are looking to cut, we have allowed his contract to run down without renewing it and we want to get our hands on the hard cash that only he and a few others will be able to command from other clubs. The fact he has had a good season merely means even more of a desire to cash in from Rovers and potentially more interest from rivals. We don't want to renew his contract, or anyone else's, hence no talks, as confirmed by Travis, Tronstad and Brittain in recent interviews. In a normal world he would be under contract for another 3 years already, that's what a normal football club would have done by now and there's absolutely no reason why we couldn't have done that and he would have signed, had we really wanted to.
  20. Jackson is merely reporting what's going on. We've let too many players go for free so I think it's sensible from the club's pov to grab a fee while we can. I'm sure he's being touted around by his agent and has better offers than what he's getting here. Would be great if we can renew his contract but I fully expect Brittain to leave this window after the season's he's just had.
  21. What's the starting point for 'credible offers' though? If the Venkys want their £200m back (I remain unconvinced it's all their money, but I digress) I can't see any of us having such contacts - nor is the club worth anything like that. It's an easy bar for the (now two) stooges to set though, knowing nobody is going to clear it.
