  1. Past hour
  2. So let's just clarify that point: Other than Waggott who is seemingly on gardening leave, we have 3 other Board Directors who "carry full accountability": Rob Coar Babu (resident in India) Screenivas Rao (resident in India) Is this not one extraordinary p1ss take!?!?!?
  3. I appreciate that, I was just pointing out that โ€˜directorโ€™ can mean different things to different people/organisations.
  4. Sounds highly plausible. Except for perhaps the us scoring part, and the part where we hold out on conceding another for about 80 minutes. Christ, we're gonna get bummed by Brum aren't we? At home. A freshly promoted club who think they're much bigger than they are, but admittedly have owners with a drive, vision and investment and as such are one of the favourites for promotion.
  5. This is what Birmingham City are doing. Puts us to shame when all we are aware of are a few cloth caps (not Peaky Blinders), some additional display cases, and a home game v Derby with no fireworks. https://www.bcfc.com/pages/en/media-article/blues-launch-keep-right-on-campaign-to-mark-150th-anniversary
  6. Travis going and now probably Hyam What a shambles!
  7. Dunno if you can post in this thread if you haven't read Glens minutes
  8. We look so blunt in attack that I'll be impressed if we manage to get a shot on target never mind score a goal. I suspect Miller's long throw will be our main goal threat.
  9. Being at least a goal down in the first 10 is standard practice under Ismael. 2 isn't uncommon either. Sticking with 0-4.
  10. As much as I donโ€™t want this to be the caseโ€ฆ. I think weโ€™ll be 2-0 down inside the first ten minutes, the players will be serenaded with a chorus of boos, weโ€™ll rally for a bit and make it look like weโ€™re trying, without having all that much intent. Weโ€™ll bag in the last ten minutes to give us some hope, then pass it around aimlessly, get caught in possession, then Brum will score on the counter and ruin our day.
  11. Correct everything that is and has been going on suggests the only aim here now is to keep the club one step above administration.
  12. I do agree with that, However those sort of figures would be around the Championship average, which we unfortunately no longer pay
  13. When you put it so succinctly like that, it is hard to see anything except an embarrassing and damaging reverse for Rovers here, simply because what you have identified is the heart (or is it the 'backbone'?) of a functioning and competitive side that has been wilfully ripped out. So far, the evidence appears to be that this has been replaced with nothing of any real substance. There will be match-day excitement indeed, although perhaps not the kind that we, as long suffering fans either wish for or deserve. VENKYS OUT!
  14. Wouldnโ€™t say heโ€™s active but heโ€™ll still be named as I guess heโ€™s on gardening leave. Heโ€™s still technically an employee of the club until that ends.
  15. On another thread , Mattyblue is questioning whether he goes to Ewood today. How sad is that ? When fans like him , who have supported this club for many years, feel as despondent as I do โ€ฆโ€ฆit really is time to go. Unless we stand united , and soon, our club will die โ€ฆ.devastated. Help !
  16. Not ONE football qualified or experienced football director post Waggots removal. Yes he was a poundshop version himself but at least he knew football the rest of them are just bean counters.
  17. read the Rovers Fans Forum minutes and that what is said. from the Rovers minutes "DM asked who was running the club in the absence of the CEO and accountable as it was noted Steve Waggott was still listed as a Director at Companies house. SS confirmed that at the moment Steve Waggott was still officially a club employee, whilst the other members of the board carry full accountability."
  18. You are good at this--you know we don't care what sex the new CEO will be. Just a distraction, as ever.
  19. I know who is listed on the company house website thanks but EFL seen others as Wilsdenrover posted. We don't have a company secretary. Rumours he still in Brighton last season for whatever reasons and we don't know what they are but it was said he is now located at Brockhall now
  20. Today
  21. There should be a buzz we finished 7th last season so it's exciting to see if we can better that... 'Will Dolan have one if his unplayable early season good days' 'Will Trav have his usual first home day barnstormer, will he avoid a yellow' 'Is Batth still the rock he was last season' 'Brittain and his overlaps could be key today' 'Wonder if this new investment striker will get off the mark ?, if not there's always Weimann to come on' Can't wait........ oh hang on.... er well i wonder if these new multi nation lightweights will have enough about them to stop us getting pounded... !
  22. So Waggott is still an active Board Director!?!? Would suggest the role of 'Head of Football Administration' encompasses the previous Company Secretary role !!!
  23. My point orignally was we didn't sign those 2 players cos we signed Taveras as our midfielder signing Yet our wages still above our turnover in 23/24 financial year(118%), hence why they want and need into increase income coming in from commercial and sponsor revenue. You are correct that we are lower end of wages and we have wage structure but we need to be careful cos we can't offer our key players the sort of increase of wages to get them to re-sign here tho we can't be reckless and offer them more than we can afford otherwise other players will demand much more. leading to problems. Our key players around 6 or 7 should be on a certain around 16k to 25k, then your next 6 or 7 players should be around 10k to 15k with rest below that but with incentives bonuses in all contracts based on appearances, goals and clean sheets.
  24. The only ones that matter are those listed at Companies House for The Blackburn Rovers Football and Athletic Limited and it is shown we have 4 active directors (see below). This should be simple but essential governance and the penalties for providing inaccurate information range from financial penalties to more serious actions like disqualification and even criminal prosecution. It is typically the role of the Company Secretary - just wtf does our do (does he still work from home in Brighton?)
