This season has relegation all over it. Our tactics are too transparent and very easy to defend against. We are far too wide, which means when we lose possession the other team have plenty of room to break out. We keep seeing it time and time again where their central midfielders are given acres. We made Stamenic look like prime Busquets yesterday. He hasn't had an easier day in his life. The passing angles we create are all wrong. And we are not playing to our strengths. Ok, Ohashi won a great header and almost got the equaliser, but why play a game that relies almost solely on getting wide and throwing the ball in the box and then keep your 6 foot 6 striker out of the squad? It seems madness. Even if his heading isn't the best, he gives them something to think about. I don't like the way Val plays football. Big gaps between the back and the strikers when on the ball; combined with being too wide and pushing too high up when in the final third. We are exposed and quite often we get crowded out when we have the ball because we are too far apart from each other. It is a far cry from what we have been used to For the game, I think Gudjohnson showed glimpses of quality but when he gets the service he's been getting what can we expect? Cantwell looked lively enough but showed he isn't a captain. Ableoisi is a real athlete and has moments of class. Just feel he needs to improve in the final third. I don't really have anything good to say about the rest of them. To a man, poor. Kargbo really pissed me off with his sloppiness and then lack of endeavour; then 5 minutes later he sprints full blast at a lost cause to chase the keeper down. Give over you fool. Not looking forward to this season. Gaffer is on a long contract, the Venky's have form for sacking too late, and I feel we are in a position whereby survival is now classed as a good season. If this is a reset then we've really tanked all the progress made in the last 5 years and gone back to the days of Coyle. -
Jack Walker, Tony Parkes, Ronnie Clayton, Brian Douglas. To be carved into the Dingles side of Pendle Hill.

You have to pay for quality up top they know that full well but they just don't want to. Rather have 3 or 4 cheapies whose combined wages add up to the same or more just in the vain hope one becomes worth a few million. Fools errand. -

Pretty sure you would you forecast Rovers to win even if we were playing Arsenal or Real Madrid etc!?!? You are a manic optimist! 'Your team' includes 4 new signings and therein lies a big part of the problem; my opinions: Alebiosu - Brittain's replacement: the one success story. Miller - Hyam's replacement: the lad is bang average and Hyam is a huge miss TGH - Travis replacement: surplus to requirements at Brum who have just been promoted from League 1 (tells you all you need to know). Makes Keith Andrews look like Adam Wharton! Travis a huge miss Morishita - Dolan's replacement: God knows why we chased this lad all summer, already regressing and looking like a spent force. As for the other summer signings: McLoughin - not in your team so therefore assume you don't rate him and rightly so! Forshaw: still unfit, even when fit, just what is the point Baradji: signed when crocked, will he be fit before the New Year? Tavares: when a player only starts about half the games for a club like Moreirense and manages to finish only 3 of them then surely the red flags are not waving but have been torn to shreds! Henriksson: just what is this guy about? De Neve: plays like he looks, risen from the dead Gudjohnsen: feels like we've signed another donkey - should have put Rovers ahead last night but didn't control the ball and we know what happened next You keep banging on about how Ismael, Gestede and Owen are 'all aligned' - feckin good job they are otherwise where would we be!?!? Think it's difficult to recall such a dog's breakfast of a Rovers' transfer window. I think Stoke will comfortably run out winners by at least 2 goals; Robins v Ismael akin to Pep v Coyle IMO -

It won't do. We'll be 2-0 down on Saturday, the pitch will be getting to a similar state as it was against Ipswich but the ref will let the game finish. Can see it a mile off, being a 1230 game will probably help. -

last season has gone. Those results don't matter. I don't think we are that far putting together a group of wins and draws, but when you overhaul the squad so much and mostly signings from overseas, you expect a period of transition and poor results which we are currently in. Also we are due a couple of good luck regarding ref decisions AWOL Baradji? what are going on about now? he was signed injured and where we give him the operation he needs before we see play for us on some of the signings this summer, it will take time to settle just like it did with Tronstad or MGP. Some settled quickly like Alebiosu or McLoughlin would that going to solve? are the owners going to appoint a good footballing experience Chief executive and good Director of Football all a sudden? I don't think Adam Owen has done a bad job in his role. Is Rudy that bad as director of football operations, more of a mix bags We don't created enough good chances. - Today

Just a bit of fun in dark times. Who would make it onto Rovers' 'Mount Rushmore'? A few potential suggestions: Jack Walker Colin Hendry Simon Garner Derek Fazackerley Bob Crompton Alan Shearer Brad Friedel Tugay Ronnie Clayton Bryan Douglas David Dunn Tony Parkes I think it's difficult to pick four.

Somewhere between £25K/week & £30K/week apparently Doesn't change your point, rather emphasises just how much Rovers are kneecapping themselves with this £10K/week hard limit -

Did anyone ever watch Facejacker? They had a scam artist on called "Augustus Kwembe". I wonder if he's going under the surname Kargbo these days, pretending he's a footballer.... -

How come Hull can sign a guy like Mcburnie but we can't ? It doesn't make sense until you factor in he's 29 and will want at least 10 grand a week which means these lot would rather take a punt on a 5k a week younger player with zero pedigree in England. Then wonder why we carry almost no threat up front unless one of the Japanese lads is through on the counter. -

I'm sure you'd get plenty of willing donors to chip in without announcing any plans. A simple promise that something is coming would have people put their hands in their pockets giving to a go fund me page or something similar. -

We are getting into the realms where a fighting fund is gonna be required. A lot of things been bounced around last few weeks but without funds it gets difficult. In years gone by its been myself and a few others using our money but this is not sustainable. Protest are going to return. There's no doubt about it and we need to maximise every one of them with impact. We'd need a volunteer to lead any fund and we'd need to be a little more discreet on some of the things we want to do, as broadcasting on the net is like telling the burglars when we are out. -

The thing that really surprises me is how the fan base, often maligned, has stood up until today, despite being dragged through the mud for 14yrs. If we draw Man Utd or Liverpool in the FA cup, Ewood is sold out, look at our away support, almost 1500 to Charlton at the weekend, superb effort by the fans. Sadly this can’t go on forever in my eyes, we need change, ownership change and quickly or another generation is lost. -
Not to mention their bank accounts.

I am pretty sure, we won't get an explanation from the club, as they did their level best to stick to the ones they accepted, which, according to Glen's version, were nothing like accurate. These have been published on here, along with the other two versions, but if anyone wants all 3 drop me a PM. It is yet another ideal opportunity for the LT this, as it is a story with the Headline reading something like: Blackburn Blackout We are gagged, and the fans are Gagged, so why do the power brokers at the club feel the need for this? -
That suggests the bookies think it is less likely now which doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

There is a time for holding your nerve and sticking with something in the belief things will turn around. Then there is a time for making things change by trying something different. For me, we are in the second of those. The tactical approach this season isnt working. I would try something different to take control of a significant slump. That's an important part of a managers job and I think he needs to take meaningful action, now. But I agree that the team and formation above is probably what he will stick with again. 2-0 Stoke.
