  1. Past hour
  2. In the legendary words of a person who is no longer posting here: We are prepared for this window.
  3. Plenty deserve the siggy treatment that really shouldn’t be an issue The issue will be we all know who shouldn’t make the cut but because Rudy and his team have signed them they won’t get cut as itl be a blow to their egos hedges should miss out along with any of tavaraes de neve henriksson and one of/maybe both Pickering/ribiero
  4. A nice little earner, would be my guess.
  5. To be fair, Raya used to get pelters on here as well
  6. I feel very similar. I’ll be boycotting because I want to give my support when someone (the coalition) is trying to do something to express the despair of the fans at this regime. Do I think it will work? Probably not, but I will have made a stand..at least in my head..my season ticket means my money is already theirs and I doubt my empty seat will be much noticed but I will know I contributed. This has to be the start of something, not the end of something whatever the outcome of the boycott. Do I want to boycott long term? No. Like many, going to the Rovers means too much to me in ways other than watching football..living away from Blackburn it’s when I see friends I’ve had for years, I won’t abandon those friendships. So I hope the coalition will come up with other perhaps less contentious ways of protesting. Late entry, turning backs to the pitch, protests outside the ground, more banners. An orchestrated deluge of emails or letters to the club/Suhail/Venkys. Even a mass turn up..fill the ground, show what we could be as a fan base. Maybe it’s better to go for persistent, inventive protest that as many as possible of the even slightly disaffected feel able to join in with and builds momentum rather than persisting with the nuclear option that divides the fan base.
  7. Tbf to Aynsely like 90% of footballers they thrive off confidence. I'd imagine all of us here wouldn't do good at our jobs if we constantly see negative things about us and our manager/employer talks behind your back etc. I'm not saying he is a world beater but he is a championship standard keeper. it won't help he constantly plays with a different defensive pairing as well. Would Friedel do as well as he did if he had a different defensive line most matches and had negative messages etc? Same for Raya.
  8. Our appalling window is going under the rader with the (unsurprising and merited) focus on results and Ismael. This is a real shocker though. Failed spectacularly to fill the gaps we have - A defender we didn't need who is rubbish. A winger/striker with no Championship experience, who in fairness looks decent so far. Assume that is our lot for this latest round of 'significant investment'. I am intrigued who will get the Siggy treatment at the end of the month (currently a 26 man/child squad).
  9. Sunderland at home, Boxing Day 2024 perhaps?
  10. We need to fix the voting so he can only give Tronstad a 10…I’m sure it could be done…😆
  11. He's a good keeper we just lose when we play him
  12. I'd say it's close to impossible to get a lwb if you have no intention of getting one and aren't making any overtures to do so.
  13. Nixon replied to someone on his patreon that we have a bid in for a striker from abroad but we are not the favourites to get him Fk sake how hard Is it to find a lwb even if only a loan
  14. Only a good idea once the owners have put the club up for sale. Otherwise it is just money in their pockets when the objective is to turn off the taps.
  15. Agree it's a complete farce. Jack Walkers success in business and football was fuelled by hire the best you can get and pay them properly. Then there are no excuses but these lot operate a hire the cheapest friend recommended you can get. And they'll cost you a fortune in the long run in failure, cock ups and pay offs whilst in return you'll get nothing but a declining valueless product.
  16. Not arguing that - just stating to say he never got anywhere near it in his tenure is wrong
  17. Plodding but relatively stable is the stuff of dreams for us now 🥲
  18. Mowbray basically had 3 incredible months at this level in 5 and a half years. The rest of it was plodding but relatively stable.
  19. I would take Mowbray back in a heartbeat right now
  20. Ah, sorry I didn't realise the playoff spots where down to 7th. My bad!
  21. See Kean, Singh, Hunt x2, Agnew, Waggott, Pasha, Rao, Senior, Coyle. We're a vehicle for people who should be nowhere near the Championship / a club of this size - people who wouldn't have got close to equivalent jobs at any other Championship club and haven't after leaving here.
  22. Sounded like a snake oil salesman desperate for commission on that phone call.
  23. Today
  24. He'll never work at this level again once he's finished here.
  25. Not disputing that but to say nowhere near is a far fetch. Could be argued that whether it’s gd one point or 20 ya didnt make it but don’t think its fair the poster to say under his tenure we were nowhere near it
  26. End of the Swag was a General Manager type figure. Senior face around the place, been in the game a long time, could placate fans with some anecdotes or merely just nodding along. He had no power, CEO-INO but he was a deflection, especially when Cuddly Tone and uber-charismatic JDT (before he went after the regime) were here to deflect too. Now with this motley crew who have the worst traits combined - unprofessional and out of their depth, but arrogant and un-charismatic with it.
