  1. Past hour
  2. The last money Venkys sent over was to cover contractual and statutory obligations for March - June. I think our transfer dealings are now with the intent of ‘keeping the lights on’. I’d be amazed if we spend even a tiny fraction of any more fees we bring in.
  3. And yet nearly a quarter of your recent posts are on this topic
  4. They don’t count, didn’t you know? Its only about £40m and we don’t get it all at once.
  5. Having seen the shirt in real life and dealing with clothing as a full time profession, I'd like to endorse the quality of the garment. The colours, the collar stitching, the cuffs, hem stitch is all of a high standard. Sign me up for one Ian!
  6. Of course, what idiots we are, the focus of the Regime as ever is to keep costs down for fans, offer great value and strengthening connections between fans and club. Anyone who thinks this is just a cynical cost cutting scheme really needs to get their facts right. I applaud their honesty and transparency. Praise the communication!
  7. We have decided to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Rovers with another retro shirt...we've done 1970's, 1960's & so now we're doing...that's right...the 1950's! Pay your tribute to Ronnie Clayton, Bill Eckersley & Bobby Langton amongst others by wearing our shirt (complete with reversed halves & halved sleeves!) with extreme pride. 🤍💙 All the details are HERE - we are taking orders until 2nd September so don't miss out - order now & be ready for the anniversary match at Ewood. OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS - please email media@brfcs.com & we will work out bespoke postage for you...
  8. Presumably when they went to cancel, Sky did their customary price drop offer… and said offer was still too expensive 😬
  9. Summer transfer news , seems to have fallen off a cliff , anybody think like me that the powers that be , will be doing sweet FA until Friday August 29th at the earliest ? Then scrambling for a Bournemouth and Boscombe young reserve team player , that nobody else is interested in !
  10. Sometimes we transition multiple times within a season too.
  11. I honestly believe this season we could easily lose the first seven league fixtures . The squad is bereft of talent ,most of the new signings are from relegated clubs in leagues below our present status. Perfect storm is brewing !
  12. Always love this thread having new posts! I can’t wait for the next update on when a bloke who plays for Crystal Palace completes a pass…
  13. SBI is the State Bank of India. We (or Venkys at least, to fund us) certainly do borrow from them quite a lot (I think in the fairly early days we stopped using Barclays, I might be misremembering but I think they weren't really willing to sign off on an increased overdraft facility). I don't know how much of what they send us is borrowed from SBI though. They've borrowed with their land in India as collateral before.
  14. Speaking NFL here's a Guardian article on Man U's plan to have the UK government help them build their new stadium by funding the relocation of a freight rail hub; Guardian: Man U want government help I really liked this article. I've seen it countless times over here. Greedy owners threatening to move unless they get a free brand spanking new place to play, then keep all the profits from it.
  15. So one of the Blues Bar membership benefits include watching games involving Rovers that you could stay at home and watch on YouTube. I would certainly be looking at the t&c's and potentially asking for a refund. Surely if it's too expensive for the Blues Bar they can't afford it in other areas of the ground.
  16. I was there 14 years ago standing outside Ewood on a Friday night straight after work in the freezing cold. Chanting for venkys out. Giving up my Sunday mornings to go on a protest march then during match day handing out leaflets before the game. All we got was murmers of what's the point or you're only ruining our chances of avoiding relegation. Rovers fans are the most apathetic in England
  17. Good to see they are thinking of the fans and offering great matchday value. This will obviously be reflected in the price of a pint in there ?
  18. Wow. Billionaire owners and we can't afford a sky sports subscription.
  19. Wow you'd think a first team coach would at least get sent to pass on how people were doing. I know he can hear from the U21 managers, but he'd probably trust someone he works with on the daily with the first team more, regarding who could step up to the first team. JE didn't really attend U21 games either did he? Don't remember ever hearing mention.
  20. I haven't seen him or any of the first team coaches watching any of the games. Mowbray was often at the under 21 matches too.
  21. They aren't creating a space that feels more connected to the club the are replacing something with a low cost fill in just like the team and everything else. Why do people fall for this shite. All they will do in the longer term is reduce their trade even more as people elect to go in or stay the boozers instead. The Labour party have more brains than this lot and the bar is as low as it can get there.
  22. That's a clear sign of his gravy train and ego being exposed.
  23. Today
  24. Could you elaborate further? What is this SBI instrument? (bank?) How much did they borrow? Are you saying that amount is now spent and this is the reason for the dramatic budget cuts? If it is an Indian bank, what are the terms of payback? Can it just go on indefinitely? Who is the borrowing signitory (sic)? Are you suggesting that the only way the Raos leave is if one of i-iii of your list happens?
  25. Never made clear what we are actually transitioning to… apart from the lower leagues.
