Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
Crimpshrine replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Pasha's remit is to run the club as he sees fit and make it as cost effective as possible. The owners leave it to him completely and as long as he doesn't ask for extra money over the agreed budget, the owners are happy and he gets his bonus. He is all powerful at the club - especially now that Steve Waggott has gone. The owners really have no interest and just accept his decisions without question. If Pasha told the owners that he had cut costs to the max and it was now a matter of put up more money or sell then Venky's would probably sell. Pasha hates publicity ( and fans !) and is very arrogant. If we keep the pressure on him and he decides he's had enough ( and earned enough ) it could be the start of the end for Venky's -

Read Glen's posts - he's not just a middle manager, he's been here from the start and this is seen as his baby. -

Well we have signed a few (Ohashi, Gudjonsen, Tronstad, Toth, Alebiouso, Mori). But rarely (never?) in January to be fair -

He wins quite a few headers as well, but disappears for long stints as well. Fortunately Ohashi works his socks off for this team or else there's no chance we play two up front. -
I would have rather kept Buckley than sign Tavares, especially if we actually paid money for the latter (for my own sanity I will assume the £2m reported fee is dependent on many clauses). Bucko didn't turn out to be anywhere near as good as was hyped up, but he's still a better Championship player than Tavares. One imagines signing a striker would be dependent on shifting Gueye, which may be difficult. Especially when there are videos being released of his own team mates mocking him.

Can't see Glasner staying at Palace, sounds very frustrated with lack of investment in the squad there. Leeds have out performance them tonight. Everton been poor. Thought they been more aggressive against Arsenal than that

thanks for sharing Josh. very interesting and I'm sure we were linked before Venkys bought us to a possible Australia group/people buying us. Given our history will Aussie like Robbie Slater, Brett Emerton and Lucas Neill, then now with Miller, you can see why any Aussie Group would be interest in buying us. -

A dreadful footballer who despite having all the attributes is either nowhere near committed enough or intelligent enough to see the opportunity that’s fallen into his lap. I can’t wait to see the back of him. -

You're not getting the reference. Infamous Freudian slip from error prone former sports commentator David Coleman who said that about a 400m runner. (Alberto Juantorena from Cuba was it?) -
Good job 14 years was spent chasing them out then. Venky’s “man on the ground” makes him just an employee of them, of which they have thousands. I just don’t understand how him deciding to eff off (v unlikely IMO) will lead to a collapse of the Venky regime. You only get so many chances to get the attention and motivation of the average fan, and I can’t see many being arsed about a bloke they’ve never heard of.

At the primary school I went to, even though most of the boys played football, I cannot remember anyone saying they supported a particular club. I didn't start supporting the Rovers until I was 10, and that was only because my mum took me. -
Been really disappointing with only Archer close to the level required.

Do you honestly trust the people at the Rovers to find and sign decent players ?

January Transfer Needs
joey_big_nose replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
We really need cover for Tronstad and Ohashi. I guess getting someone in for Tronstad will be tricky though as the hierarchy will point to Tavares and TGH and say they should be used. Which is annoying as Tavares is lazy and lacks awareness, and TGH is not technical enough to play that deeper role though okay more box to box. But theres no argument not to sign one or two hardworking strikers to give Ohashi and Gudjonsen some support. -
Yeah, but even so, they were ahead and the sending off (which was a poor tackle and a deserved red) was a problem of their own making. Lampard pretty much admitted post-match he'd been riled up by the crowd, hence his reaction at the end.
