10cc? Feels like whatever happens it'll inevitably feel like the reaction to a wank appointment

On Damien Johnson: could it be he just enjoys being employed without the threat of being fired if things go poorly? Loves the club despite its millions of faults and don’t want to get binned, have to move, resettle the family etc? If so I hope he stays on as an employee rather than a manager/head coach. He has been here for some time now, but we don’t hear much from him. I know the feeling from my own “work life”.

Means nothing. The other 3 favourites are Rowett who has been reported as not in the reckoning, and 2 others just because of their initials. Someone must have stuck a tenner on Savage.

You can get away with a lack of pace as a full back in a back 4 if you’re switched on position wise, you can’t play effectively as a wing back with a lack of pace. -

Hey guys, I am Steven. I am very happy to be here! I am out in the states originally from New Jersey but now in Missouri. I am an avid sports fan and active HS American Football Coach. I am a newer Rovers supporter and excited to join the community as I have used the boards to streamline following the squad. Unfortunately I picked one hell of a year to dive into full fledged fandom but that I think has aided how much I am falling in love with watching and following. I randomly picked the rovers about 8ish years ago playing fifa and casually would look into how they were doing. About 3 years ago I wanted to watch and follow more but was not great with it, until last year during the playoff chase I finally paid to stream a bit. This year I have watched almost every game or followed along actively with each and it has been a blast even with how the year is going. I am the type of sports fan that tries to learn the history of the team, players, etc once I dive in so I would love any things I should know to keep supporting. I am hopeful to become active on here but I usually can never keep up between the time difference and work as I am in education and it pulls me in a million directions. Other things about me, I do feel as though my true fandom love is baseball with the KC Royals. I love alternative punk rock music and am an avid concert goer. I love traveling (have been to 49/50 states) but need to start to expand my travels globally and with traveling comes my foodie self trying different things anywhere and everywhere. Well, otherwise not sure what else to put here but I hope to make some community and build a group to enjoy this club with. Looking forward to it!

Seeing as we are on this theme why not Howard Kendall ? Not much use as a player manager granted but would still be more use on the sidelines than Ismael.

To be fair he was on loan playing at Chorley with instant recall clause which they activated. A competent manager would have had him back in recently when he was available but we didn't have one. Seeing as he's out now so couldn't be loaned it might turn out a blessing in disguise later in the season when he's fit again. l -

Townes Van Zandt - Waitin' Around to Die -
Chris Crowe, fine Rovers player from early 1960s? Died 2003 but could be ideal candidate given our grave position
-
My worry is that Ismael was Gestedes man, so they might go with Owens this time around.

Pickering has gotten a lot of flack on here, but it’s mostly down to his pace. The guy is a solid squad player, and was frozen out by manager of DeNeve who is 1/10 the player but has pace. - Today

Ha ha, tickled me that.

Anyone seen any Coleman tweets, pressers or anything of the like?
-
Carl Cox?
-
Colin Colin Calderwood Clarke Carlisle ?
-
One straw to clutch at is Coleman is the same odds - 6/1 to get the Watford job. Sounds like his agent is pitching him anywhere..

Coleman ticks a lot of boxes for Pasha & Gestede, putting my money on him -
Don’t like the fact that the Coleman link keeps lingering - you just know it’s going to be a shocking appointment
