  1. Past hour
  2. As people keep pointing out to me - it's more to do with the fact that Hyam is noticeably worse at LCB. I'm not sure why that is.
  3. Signed it within a day of his 17th birthday to be fair, Tyjon turned 17 back in March and still hasn't signed up, will be amazed if he does.
  4. Hyam always plays much better when he is the less experienced underling. Will make a good partnership. Oh, wait...🫣
  5. Anyone know what Nixon said about Dawson exactly? Is it looking likely? Big hopes for this one. Potential season defining signing, really important they get this done. Especially in the international break to start getting him up to speed and integrated.
  6. I'm not really excited about this one i'm sure there are others out there if anyone is bothering to look. Doesn't need to be a high profile guy look at Batth and Mcfadz, just need someone fit enough, still has legs and good experience/leader qualities at this level.
  7. Rudy has put his money where his mouth is at least, if we (expectedly) drop like a stone, this is his manager and it’s his team. He will be responsible, same in the unlikely event it goes the other way. I must admit, for a website that’s common theme is rightfully “we can’t go anywhere with Venkys”, we do love to shoot the messengers, and please don’t bring up this he said she said stuff, I’ve had it up to the brim.
  8. But as pointed out - many of these roles, even in the prem, are taken up by “graduate” coaches / scouts. Carlton Cole and Johnny Evans for example.
  9. Whilst it probably is a lower cost job for his mate, is not unusual to appoint a former player with not much experience of anything else. Lescott started the same job at Man City the season after retiring as a player https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5968647/Joleon-Lescott-set-season-jet-setting-Europe-mentoring-Manchester-Citys-young-stars.html
  10. Wolves fans seemed to think he was done, albeit that was at PL level
  11. So many ways is three in total. It is a poor appointment in terms of: Experience coaching. Experience scouting. Experience in football administration. Experience as a leader. Experience in literally any role outside of playing football.
  12. I doubt that will be impacting him in any way otherwise he'd take the first offer wouldn't he. Considering the likes of Birmingham are interested means if it's about money that's where he goes, if it isn't we've a chance.
  13. I've spent the last few days pretty down beat following the way the transfer window has ended. But I've woken up to with a different perspective. I feel the same way about the ownership (they don't care and have no idea what's going on, no one will sack Suhail etc because they don't care nor watch any games). The protest needs to be taken to India not Ewood. But I just want to get behind the team. Support them. Find new heroes. Look, if after all this your view is that you're giving up watching your team then maybe you weren't as committed as you thought. COYB.
  14. He has to be better than Bath and Fadz who are at the same age barackett.
  15. or he could sit on a beach for another month before another club who can offer £20K/week has an injury or 2?
  16. If it's true he turned down Birmingham then it's pretty obvious money is not the most important thing to him at this stage of his career. If that's the case, then we may have a chance because if and when he's fit he would more than likely be first choice even at 35
  17. He went to the secondary school I was a technician at. He made a corner bookcase for his GCSE project. Somehow I don’t think he’ll be turning his hand to joinery when he retires.
  18. I don’t think it will happen either but I’d say 10k per week plus a signing on fee along with add ons on the contract is better than his current income status which is zero per week

  23. We really don't want to be switching to a back 3. Outside of the elite teams, they rarely work in the medium to long term for teams.
  24. Most clubs have this role. Last season Stuart Jones did it. Rhodes is the ideal choice for the role. As a young lad at Ipswich, he had a number of loans to other clubs as he was developing as a professional footballer. He knows the problems youngsters would have going to other clubs on loan because he's been there and done it himself. He's also had loans at the end of his career so knows the problems it can cause late in your career. Thus he has the experience for the role and he has a knowledge of Blackburn Rovers. For me this is an excellent appointment in so many ways.
  25. Was it Udinese who famously had something close to 100 players out on loan one year
  26. I think it started when premier league teams like Chelsea and City would have full teams of people out on loan, for us it seems more of a made up jobs for the boys / appease the fans role
