  1. Past hour
  2. I thought they’d have made an application to the court re this as soon as the previous order had been made. Nothing showing yet though.
  3. Yes they still need to stipulate this by filing an affidavit with the court. This has to be done within one working day of the funds being sent.
  4. It's quite an outlier of an opinion you have. Do you ever change opinions? Have you heard of the backfire effect? Markanday was ignored by several Rovers managers. Dolan was not. Markanday is currently toiling in League 2. Dolan is not. Dolan frustrated the life out of me but I'd pick him 10 times out of 10 ahead of Markanday.
  5. Today
  6. But have they got the bond money back ? Which i suspect was the main driver of all this.
  7. It would be worth it for Vinjay's reaction alone, for Rovers to appoint Phil Jones in some capacity.
  8. Surely its obvious that Madrid, Barce, etc are just so bad that they are making him look good 😉
  9. Apologies if I missed it, even though the guarantee has been removed, do they still need to stipulate what the money is to be used for before sending?
  10. Permission to remit funds without guarantee granted two weeks ago. Affidavit yet to be lodged to say monies have been sent…
  11. I saw very little improvement in Dolan, so I stick to my opinion.
  12. U17s won 3-1 away at Man Utd last night in the first game of the PL Cup, Stoke and the Dingles are the other teams in our group Hopefully the club give an update on this at some point, but apparently it was a strong Man Utd side and their fans were surprised by the loss No idea what side Rovers put out
  13. Of course you are but there seems to be such little evidence to back up your opinion. You've been going on about Markanday being better than Dolan for months when even Rovers had no time for him and Dolan started every game. If you're serious and not taking the piss, in my opinion, you should go to Specsavers.
  14. Always felt like JDT's attitude was 'this is what I told you I would do, this is the project you said you'd support. If you choose not to do so, the consequences are on you, and I'm not changing my ways to compromise." Some of that would have been fuelled by the fact he offered to leave in the summer and was forced to stay. He was essentially telling them this won't work, but the geniuses in charge decided to keep on going anyway.
  15. Chesterfield fans debating whether Markanday should be starting.
  16. I do not take the piss, this is MY opinion, you may have a different one and you are entitled to it.
  17. Yes he didnt have a job and they are hard to come by, so he would have agreed to anything really to get the contract. Like JDT and Eustace though if he performs well and attracts interest I would expect his acceptance of the situation to completely change. If he does well i dont think he will lie down and take another window like this one.
  18. It's probably along the lines of Rovers told him he would be allowed to leave if a bid of £X came in And when the bid of £X was received, Rovers asked for more, which prompted the refusal to play * obviously just a guess
  19. You're surely taking the piss.
  20. So he says a lot but tells us absolutely nothing. I suspect Rovers were trying to sell him to Derby but the terms weren't as good for club or player. Then Boro came in with a better offer.
  21. Get a few assists at Chesterfield this season and I definitely foresee a move to a Real Sociedad
  22. Feels like a bit of a nothing story.
  23. Is anyone even vaguely shocked? Still shouldn't have refused to play mind Callum Brittain says the 'goalposts were moved' during negotiations over his summer exit from Blackburn Rovers. Callum Brittain says the 'goalposts were moved' during negotiations over his summer exit from Blackburn Rovers. The star right-back left to join Middlesbrough in a protracted move to a Championship rival. Rovers said Brittain was offered a very lucrative contract to stay at the club but turned it down to leave. Several Boro bids were rejected before a deal was eventually agreed. Brittain initially refused to play in Rovers' first pre-season against Accrington Stanley before being reintegrated. However, Brittain claims that untrue comments were made about him during that period and also states that 'goalposts were moved' during talks. “It was difficult,” he told Teesside Live. “I think there were a lot of things put out in the media about me that weren’t actually true. You get told you’re close to a move and then the goalposts move. So it was a different outcome. I tried to deal with it as professionally and positively as I could do. “I was very close to a lot of players and staff and Blackburn which meant it wasn’t as hard as I first thought it might be. But you’ve just got to get your head down. "With things like that, I have the attitude, if something is going to happen for you, it will happen, so you’ve just got to stay patient and keep myself as fit as possible. Luckily, I’m here now. “It's all part of football. I've been involved in a couple of moves now and nothing is ever straightforward. It's just about being patient, getting your head down and trying to get as fit as possible. Whatever was going to happen was going to happen. I'm really happy to be here now.” Brittain was one of three first-team players that Rovers couldn't persuade to sign new contracts this summer. As a result, they were sold to ensure the club still received a fee for their services. Boro and Derby County both made bids but it was always most likely that he'd end up on Teesside. Brittain says he was made to feel wanted by the Boro hierarchy which made him want to move. “I had a conversation with him over the phone and it was an honest, good conversation," he said. "It was about how he wants me to play, about family and how he wants me to come and settle. It was a really encouraging chat and made me want to make the move. I looked at the squad too, and knew a lot of the boys from playing against them. “Speaking to Kieran [Scott] as well. I really felt wanted by Boro, by Kieran, Rob, and had conversations throughout and it was really encouraging. "That feeling of being wanted is what you want in football. I looked at the squad and there's some really exciting young players here and it's a good group. It all adds up and was just very enticing.”
  24. The momentum that had gathered appeared to be having a positive spin but no info/communication from the Coalition for some time now. 🤔
