  1. Past hour
  2. It always leads back to one thing only and that is they are hiding something and scared of it coming out. liken it to the house on Nuttall Street that had the body in the drains. That would have never come to light, without the house being sold and demolished.
  3. Have Stoke sold out their allocation PotterLog? Home Ends will be 30 Seats per person availability!
  4. All true, JH, yet no clearer to an answer to ‘why’ they want a manager to keep costs down and for the club to just tick over. Obviously a burden (even if a small one in the grand scheme of their empire with their point man given carte blanche), obviously no sporting interest in the club achieving anything, so the next step is obvious, so WHY aren’t they doing it?’
  5. everything points to a stoke win. But the championship has its way of producing the unexpected... here's praying.
  6. Utterly pointless/meaningless, if true (no reason to doubt it). The way we are going, there will be no one in the ground anyway, and a loss to Derby would be a fitting way to see the back of that lot. What more humiliation do they need to feck off?
  7. Post game even after a win would see very few hanging round, get beat and it will be a very bleak ‘event’ (which is fitting, I suppose). Not sure why there’s a need for a game at all. A pre-season friendly to mark it, fine. But a game of 50 odd year olds against some amateurs in an empty ground in November, err ok.
  8. Historically, do we not tend to lose this fixture but win the away game? Could be wrong on that.
  9. For those of us old enough Iley was appalling. The loss of the magician Dave Wagstaffe to Blackpool was heartbreaking.
  10. Don't think you will be seeing any interviews with Rudy for a while now.
  11. This honestly should be the first question asked to Rudy every time he interviews.
  12. Steve Kean, Derek Dougan, Bradley Orr and Danny Murphy.
  13. Well I think that's all it's meant to be. A Rovers legends side against a side that played a part in our very early history, the game doesn't bother me so much. Just think playing it after a game like the Derby game which could be a huge humilation with all our ex staff and players taking the piss out of us is a daft decision.
  14. Today
  15. Personally I just don't think a match against what is effectively a parks team has any appeal whatsoever. It smacks of laziness but overriding that would be the cost of bringing a proper team to play at Ewood.
  16. It's never been about results on the pitch. Results have not been the priority at this club for over 15 years. If it was Allardyce wouldn't have got sacked, Kean wouldn't have been appointed, Kean would have been gone within a few weeks or at the end of that first season, both Bowyer and Mowbray would have lost their jobs earlier than they did. It is about cost and compliance. If you are willing to operate in the structure these people want and not complain, and are relatively speaking cheap, then you're set. Allardyce wasn't ever going to play their game so he had to go, Bowyer and Mowbray put up with it both because they got answers directly from India and because neither would have got similar jobs elsewhere. Coyle wouldn't have got the job and definitely wouldn't have been parachuted in ahead of Warnock and would have been sacked in October or November rather than February. Lambert wouldn't put up with it, nor JDT or Eustace because they all knew they were able to get employment elsewhere
  17. Not sure he’s managed two training sessions yet
  18. Ditto, although, I am in Europe, so no problem getting up with the lards, fortunately.
  19. I believe Dunny also paralelled this 8n a podcast recently
  20. Sam Gallagher managed to string two games together as of yet?!
  21. I live overseas mate so only manage a game or two a season on trips back. I'll be up with the larks to watch the stream as per
  22. Depends on your definition of success. A lot of managers probably wouldnt have done as well as JDT (for a period) or Eustace under the same conditions. Equally, as testing as VI'S conditions are, Im sure there are a lot of managers out there who could do a far better job.
  23. I noticed the bookmakers have you at 2/1 which seems very generous, considering our woes. Nice to see you on here again BTW hope we give you a game. Are you going?
  24. I suppose you can give him some credit for being honest and hope it remains that way, after what we have suffered in the past, especially the very first appointment, these owners made.
  25. I don't agree but understand your point and respect your opinion, it's just not mine. You can't make a silk purse from a sows ear, to quote a golden oldie. With this ownership, these players and this board even King Kenny would struggle Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right ... We can change the name on the managers door (and have umpteen times in recent years) repeatedly but it has and will make no difference. I'm sure there are better managers out there today than VI but so what they too would fail under this joke of a club ownership. I'm cutting VI some slack. He says the right things, he's honest (IMO) and sounds like he genuinely wants success for the club so all power to his elbow. He's not going to succeed though, no one could.
  26. Ow at Rovers, to add a bit of nuance to this “bang in form” comment… it's true we’ve had a good start and we’re high in the table but in terms of results we’re actually not really in good form. We’ve won one game in the last six, scoring two goals. It’s a bit of a paradox because we are playing with tempo and creating chances.. we battered Middlesbrough at their place in the second half the other day. We’re just nervy and profligate in front of goal. I’m a default pessimist (impossible not to be after our last eight seasons) but hopeful that this will be the game we put the chances away and come away with the result.
