I seriously doubt Portugal can go far with Ronaldo still starting every game, he’s really not worth his spot anymore and his antics at the Euros were pretty embarrassing. I didnt pass comment on him as a player. I have never heard of him. Its not like you to be focused on trying to police any perceived negativity either. We need attacking players who can help us to score goals, our attack was poor last season and that was what (on the pitch) cost us finishing higher. This guy might be a really good player, but I am just speculating as to what he is being signed to do based on the very limited information we have. He doesnt seem to score or assist many and he has often played as a left back which is possibly the only position where we have decent cover. He may be a useful potential signing if he signs but I am just wondering as to what role he is likely to take up. The comment about Gestede was purely an observation about the market he seems to be drawn towards. His attributes seem to be fast and cheap, the latter is presumably the greater draw for Suhail/Gestede. Presumably seen as a back-up for Kargbo on left wing but hardly an inspiring target. As always, should not pass judgement until we see him play (assuming we even sign him that is).

To be fair he’s played 84 times in the Belgian top flight and he’s 23 so he can’t be passed off as ‘one for the future’. It worries me that he started the season as a starter for Kortrijk but from February on was getting subbed a lot and by the time of the 6-game relegation play-offs had been benched. So it’s not like he was one of their better or more trusted players during their relegation season.

Spurs won just 11 premier league games this season. They didn't even make it to 40 points! Absolutely a sackable offence for a team that is supposed to be pushing for the top 4 and beyond. Don't forget training top, training hoodie, travel bag, walk out jacket, warm up trackies, leg-only socks, and branded gloves, that doubtless must have home, away and third versionss and maybe even seasonal variants (can't be expected to wear the warm weather gear in a UK February), all of which change on an annual basis.
