  1. Past hour
  2. West Brom's home form has been decent, away atrocious. Suspect their managerial appointment could go either way. If he's ok they should be fine with that squad but if he's not up to the job - and it continues to baffle me why some clubs have this obsession with finding the next 'big thing' rather than going with tried and tested - it could spiral rapidly. We need them to because Swansea look like they have enough to get out of it and pretty much everyone else bar Portsmouth and Charlton are showing signs of having enough about them. Exciting times for the project.
  3. I might be mis-remembering facts here, but didn't we gain most of our wins during the time Cantwell was out with his mystery knee injury?
  4. I just mentioned this, because Cashin`s main attribute appeared to be his distribution not his defending. McFadz had decent distribution when here for example.
  5. Playing Cashin in a position he has never played in should not be an option. He either plays in his actual position which after seeing him at the weekend is a big if, or not at all.
  6. I think this is a great idea and surely wouldn't cost a great deal to do Maybe repost it in the protest ideas thread?
  7. Today
  8. Cantwell being out might be a blessing in disguise. Baradji looks a lot better driving forward so him at a number 10 with others working defensively, then it may work.
  9. If we HAVE to play Cashin(to avoid a financial penalty)why not play him in "defensive midfield" in front of a back 3? Sort of a 3-1-4-2 formation. With nine, yes nine central defenders we have serious defensive overload(Litherland,Carter & Wharton all injured plus the 6 of Atcheson, Miller, McLoughlin, O`Riordan, Pratt & Cashin) so can`t use half the squad otherwise! Perhaps we asked/begged Brighton for a loan player dirt cheap, but forgot to mention it should be a striker/winger and asked for a defender instead?
  10. Guess it will be an early test of whether Cashin is undroppable. Whatever you think of Pickering you'd have thought that as he's completely out of favour they'd have had him out of the door by now. Seems a complete waste of time to have him on the books and ignore him. Use him or get rid.
  11. Glimt play 4-3-3, so you're correct but he can probably play as a second striker in a 3-5-2 as well. I think if we stick to the say formation and Henriksson is the other alternative, then Jørgensen has to start tomorrow night.
  12. I guess he didn't run around like a headless chicken enough for Val's data to give him the green light.
  13. Pickering is one of a handful of players we have who has proven to be of consistent Championship quality for a few years. Ridiculous he isn’t playing. He’s also probably our best set piece taker. Toth Atcheson O’Riordan Pratt Alebiosu Pickering Baradji Tronstad Forshaw Ohashi Jorgensen But seeing as Ismael is under no pressure to get results and nobody at the club apart from the fans gives a shit if we win or lose, I expect we will see Henricksson up front and a load of Gestede’s other failed gambles struggle for 90 minutes.
  14. Alebiosu travelling straight to Swansea to link up with the team, could be involved. Cantwell a doubt after taking the elbow to the face.
  15. Swansea, Watford and then Hull - can see us losing all three. If that happens, surely we will see the 'usual' February managerial change!?
  16. Didn't someone say he played the full 90mins, in a champions league game just 3 weeks ago?
  17. Nothing to update atm. Think we all know how indecisive V's are and how slowly they tend to move. Just bear in mind a takeover process for a sizeable concern can take quite some time with due diligence alone accounting for 40 to 60 days (and I'm pretty sure any buyer of Rovers would be incredibly assiduous). There's little doubt that Rovers seem to be generally paranoid about leaks of any kind and this may account for the lack of rumour and speculation on this matter - other than my source of this information, I've only come across one other person who has knowingly mentioned it.
  18. NOW it's a must win. There are points to take from coming games but it's a mixed bag. Must win tomorrow.
  19. Care to explain why 2029 is significant?
  20. I think there are a few bad sides around us, and like I said I think its at least a 4 way shoot out for one place, it will go to the wire I imagine either way. Like said in the previous post, if we're in the bottom 3 after that Norwich away game though, then I think that will probably be that when you look at the games afterwards.
  21. From the looks of it we still need a striker. The new lad would appear to be more of a right sided wide forward.
  22. Any football club would sack VI after the ipswich game ...but i have come to realize we are no longer a football club but a asset stripping and laundry business of Pasha and Agents with SBI PUBLIC MONIES...so this shit will go on till the bow breaks and cradle falls... i was hoping the case will be the final straw but it seems we gonna weather this till earliest 2029( those who know will know )
  23. He's been run into the ground and from Ismael's comments the new signing isn't ready so it'll be him and Henriksson again I expect. Surprised he hasn't done his hamstrings yet to be completely honest.
  24. If De Neve plays the rest of the season , we go down!
  25. Watched them v Boro Friday night. Although they lost 3-2 to a late goal right at the death they played pretty well and I can't see them going down.
