  1. Past hour
  2. I did see a post the other night from someone saying there was a clause were Ismael could leave but it wasn't until 24th - o i think it was - of Feb. No idea if it has any legs.
  3. Recall Gordon Lee being appointed around Christmas 1973 (?) and he sold Tony Field to SU just before deadline day in March 1974 - think the fee was circa £90k.
  4. at the start of the season i thought there would 4/5 teams worse than us and we`de survive,it`s not working out that way,the others teams have a desire to stay up,i doubt our players have it
  5. IMO, that doesn’t shock me. Suhail’s background isn’t football. Doesn’t he just manage the club’s money? I’d be more worried if he said the opposite tbh, about Pears!
  6. Well tbf he is meant to be Director of Football so would incomings and outgoings of players not be primarily his remit. Is that clip genuine? Sounds like a REALLY bad wind up.
  7. It's about now that Ismael learns truly what sort of club he is working for as he comes to realise that our results and league position are absolutely irrelevant to the ownership and 'board'. Unfortunately it seems a lot of supporters are still under the impression that things like results, position etc. have any relevance to the decision makers at the club. Up to this point, despite his return being woeful, we have kept our heads above water, making it easy for the regime to do nothing and leave it. Now we are sinking fast he will probably expect, and even want, the sack and a pay-off. But he's going to realise that unlike all his previous clubs, who fired him off after 30-40 games maximum, this regime have no intention of doing such things and they will leave him to keep on going inflicting even more damage. It's either because the 'board' don't have the authority to sack managers, requiring permission from head office in India which they can't get, or because the 'board' are unwilling to incur the cost and pressure of making a change due to the impact it will have on their figures and budgets, and they'd rather gamble away our league status instead. I'm convinced Ismael wants sacking now, he probably can't believe what the 'board' has left him to work with, another woeful lack of support 2/3 of the way through a transfer window and yet still no response to appalling results and points returns.
  8. After our transfer dealings in the summer, I predicted we would be in a relegation fight, but, unlike the last time around, the problem is that not many will look at this squad and think, "yes, I can save them!" I can think of a couple who are crazy enough and good managers, but unfortunately, most of those who believe they can save us will just be crazy.
  9. In the last 2 games we've looked every inch of a relegated team. Calamitous at the back, nothing but Sonny in midfield and no attacking build up play whatsoever. Manager just sat with his head in hands, being as totally fucking useless, as the clowns above him. Venkys, Pasha, Ismael, Gestede, Owen all deserve this relegation but we don't. Absolutely sick to death of these owners, just fuck off.
  10. Not sure when Field left , wasn't Dinnis caretaker for a while ? Don Martin was still there , Metcalfe and Parkes too.. 5 vastly superior players to what we have today ..
  11. Please dont compare VI with JDT and Eustace! No doubt that the Venky's need to go but in the meantime on the pitch we need to try and cling onto Championship status and the only chance of doing that is to remove VI asap. May or may not work but at least we will have tried. If they leave him in situ it will speak volumes.
  12. Getting so many injuries is not just down to bad luck. It's also due to an unwillingness to rotate the squad (because the squad depth is so poor), the high intensity (yet very ineffective) playing style as well as having several players who are known to be injury prone. Also let's not forget that there's some proper dross amongst those players currently out injured.
  13. This is possibly THE worst Rovers side I have seen in my time supporting the Club.
  14. Completely agree with you 100%. We are forever kicking the can down the road with Pasha & Gestede here. If we go down though, that’s it this time I think. There’ll be no immediate bounce back. Just feel we need to hang onto Championship status for the club to survive and VI is way out of his depth and taking us down. Need a Mark Hughes here. Get the players playing with a bit of fight.
  15. This yeah, if legit is Gestede running the club?
  16. Well - Sir Roger was still there and he'd probably be worth more than the entire squad put together in today's money. Faz also. Did Lee sell Tony Field or was he long gone before Lee arrived? If only we had 3 players like those now.
  17. Not this one ⤴️⤴️⤴️
  18. As I say - Henrikkson, De Neve, Gardner-Hickman (Hyam's replacement), Moussa Baradji and McLoughlin all available tonight. This is not about injuries, it's all about appalling, naive and arrogant recruitment from Ismael and Gestede, and a lack of real investment from the owners. To top it off Ismael is a terrible manager. One of the worst we've ever had.
  19. Strange claim. Without the deduction Sheff W would have 11 points. We have 28.
  20. Nobody knows but it's set up that way at Ewood on purpose so nobody can be held to account. Suhail says the owners, Rudy side steps it and drags in Adam Owen. For me the buck stops with the shadowman and he should get it both barrels on Saturday from the handful there.
  21. Hope so but I can't see him going voluntarily to forgo such a big pay-off.
  22. This is supposedly a project. The reality is that it's a project to reduce costs for our billionaire owners and the club is being destroyed in the process. We are supposed to believe that they are signing younger, fitter and more dynamic players supposedly signed after close inspection of their performance data. VI is aligned with this and claims the squad is stronger than last season when we missed out on the playoffs by 1 point! It's all absolute nonsense! We have sold the heart of the team and we are left with young players and unproven cheap foreign imports. Mostly they try hard but they are not good enough and there is almost no leadership anywhere on the pitch. The fans knew this project would fail as it's clearly a recipe for disaster, but as usual we are treated with contempt. The cap on salaries below the going rate is what's killing us mostly as we will not pay our better players what they deserve and it turns out most of the players who command a L1 wage are of L1 standard. Whenever the main objective is to reduce costs failure will ultimately be the outcome. Our best hope of survival is hiring a pragmatist manager like Rowett who will drill the players to play basic no nonsense football and scrape together the points needed. When you consider the the last manager of that ilk (Eustace) was not supported because he stood up for his players who were not being given new contracts, the chances of their being anyone in our ranks who has the wisdom to see this is highly unlikely. Im not even sure Rowett would be willing to take the Job. We are toast.
  23. I think he's referring to Jackson quoting Ismael who used the F-bomb in his post match presser when talking about players missing due to injuries.
