  1. Past hour
  2. Fatawu is an out and out winger who hugs the touchline. McLoughlin had to play the left back role to counter him and struggled, getting outmanoeuvred several times and losing several one-on-ones. He lacks pace for that position. I like him as a player but left back against a tricky winger is clearly not his best position. .
  3. Wolves also another club basically owned and run by agents. A pattern perhaps?
  4. And add in the 45 degree slopes beyond the far side of the pitch!
  5. McLoughlin was playing as a left sided centre back and out of possession De Neve should have dropped in to help him (as Alebiosu was doing). I mentioned to my granddaughter a couple of times in the first half that defensively De Neve was neglectful and hung McLoughlin out to dry particularly against a talented player like Fatawu. It was a smart move from Ismael to bring the more diligent Hedges on and his defensive ability pretty much nullified Fatawu.
  6. We should refuse any Tuesday match which isn’t at Ewood… Away record since returning to the Championship: Home record since the return:
  7. I've been listening to some of the build up to tonights Sunderland v Everton game, where Sunderland can go 2nd in Premiership with a win. Its really puts me in mind of our first season back in the Premier League 1992. We made a very good start to 1992 season, I watched us beat Arsenal away on Saturday at Highbury, can you imagine the feeling, it was surreal! With Everton to come at Ewood on Tuesday, I thought this big league stuff was child’s play: Blackburn Rovers 2 Everton 3 Tuesday September 15, 1992 I'm thinking of having £5 on an Everton win tonight 🤣
  8. McLoughlin got the runaround from their No 7 in the first half on Saturday, so much that Ismael took off De Neve, who hadn't been playing badly, at half time and brought Hedges on to give McLoughlin more protection. It worked. McLoughlin's not a good left back IMO
  9. Yeah I agree. I guess what we are probably looking at is if Alebiousu is unavailable then Miller will play there. But he's not going to offer the same quality. But I can't see us spending a lot on an attacking wing back who won't be first XI. Definitely can see the situation of us going on a bit of a roll over the next few weeks with the 352, then Aleb gets injured, and the whole system falls apart. Very Rovers!
  10. I quite like McLoughlin. He's done well. No way I would be bringing in Riberio. For me our needs are : - Defence : Extra experienced CB, could be a bit of a veteran, and recall O'Riordan so Miller can cover RWB if needed. - Midfield : Extra experienced Championship CM in his peak years (26-29). Not another inexperienced youth player, or old player who hasn't got the legs. - Striker : At least one CF in their peak years with a championship or equivalent scoring record. I imagine we could find players who fit the bill in defence and midfield. Up front is a real problem as I can't see how we will have the money to sign anyone worthwhile. Lets not do the pointless Dennis / Woodrow thing again.
  11. Today
  12. Tuesday night away game in November, we all know how this one goes.........
  13. If you mean the Football manager game which I mentioned in another post on this thread they had Travis at £15K/week at Rovers, £25K/week at Derby All basic figures, you could be looking at adding another £5K-£10K/week in appearance fees, etc
  14. Out of interest what does the same database say Travis' wage was at Rovers and now at Derby?
  15. The Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want
  16. That is a middling wage at Birmingham these days, they have a few on more than £30K/week I think the deal for TGH to move to Birmingham permanently (at that wage) was agreed the previous summer as part of his initial loan deal & was an obligation based on them getting promoted last year Edit - apparently the permanent deal was agreed (in advance) in February, and then after their summer recruitment spree they decided he was surplus to requirements
  17. We've had the rub of the green for two games in a row now, so am expecting lady luck to tear us a new one tomorrow evening. We can also expect, as a minimum: Toth and Alebiosu to have a good game whatever the score. Yuki to run his nuts off. De Neve flatters to De Ceve (pardon the pun) Gudjohnsen to put himself about to good effect. Low expectations based on recent form at Ashton Gate or wherever it is these days. Should be more confidence in the side based on our last couple of outings... Robins run Rovers Ragged 3 -1 Robins rue Rovers Resilience 2-2 Robins regret Rovers Running Riot 0-3 COYB! Give em a game, at least 🙂 VENKSTERS OUT!
  18. The BRFCS Player Of The Month for October is Ryan Alebiosu...getting to be a habit this...congratulations Ryan. POTM October.mp4
  19. Wow, yeah not worth that. Half is about right. Bizarre that Birmingham agreed to pay him that sort of money then immediately cut him out of their plans.
  20. Athletic Bilbao does a better Rovers commemorative shirt than Rovers...
  21. He was doing terrible when they left, everything had gone into chaos, discipline had totally gone and they appeared doomed. Pereira came in and did a great job rescuing them which made him a candidate for manager of the season. Wolves fans appear to be absolutely fuming about his potential reappointment.
  22. I know where you can get a high quality garment for £63 inc P&P...😁
  23. Sonny & Cher = I Got You Babe
  24. The blue and white one above is surely a hoax but it's an absolute joke that there seems to be no sign of an official commemorative shirt from the Club. Should have put some effort into a nice badge for the home shirt to be worn all season and there wouldnt have been this messing.
  25. No offence, and I know that's not you producing it but £90 and I wouldnt wear that in bed.
