  1. Past hour
  2. Get rid of friendlies and qualifiers and purely use the Nations League and play offs instead.
  3. I am not that sure that the team will be that different. Obviously Pickford, Stones, Guehi, Rice, Saka, Kane will all start. But does feel like Belligham, Foden etc could not be in the XI. The only player who didn't start last night who will defintiely be in the first XI is Kane imo.
  4. Nations league is quality - best innovation in international football in decades. What shouldn't exist is friendlies.
  5. Get his feet wet in league one then we can go and get him in the summer after we get relegated in May.
  6. Today
  7. The E-mail that I received explaining the situation, had the cheek to be signed-off, "Thanks for your continued support". They have lost that.
  8. Sorry for your loss, buddy.
  9. Why? It helps big nations compete regularly against each other. Allows the small teams more opportunities to win games. If anything the club world cup shouldn't exist
  10. Montgomery may come in handy in 27-28 when we're playing League Two football.
  11. The Style Council - Have You Ever Had It Blue?
  12. If they'd offered Hedges anything half decent he'd have snatched their hands off surely, even the old 1 yr extension on the same terms. To be honest i think a years extension on the same terms is the maximum they should be offering him.
  13. Rebuilding Wembley was such a bad decision. The money spent could have been better used across the football pyramid. It could have paid for upgrades at so many clubs across the country. No national stadium would also have benefitted fans from places like Leeds and Newcastle who would have had the chance to watch an England match without travelling hours to get there. Que sera sera. Like everything else in the UK it's London first and sod the rest.
  14. As ever a good podcast with great opinion. The common denominator is still present here,we are left asking the same question ad nauseam...just what the hell is going on with our Club?
  15. Yeah I agree...I feel it's more him calling out the logic of playing friendlies mid-week, approaching winter, in Wembley. Getting back from Wembley anywhere north after the match is almost impossible, by the time you get to Kings Cross it's 22:30 and there isn't an option to Manchester, and the Leeds option gets in at 2am. It's so London/South centric it's a bit of a disgrace. That has started to change a little in recent years, but nobody can argue the atmosphere is better when it's at Villa Park / Elland Road / St James etc. Atmosphere it's also very similar to 90% of domestic stuff, away fans are on the piss all day, big allocation of course they'll be loud. Home fans probably have come straight from work for a mid-week match, and want to get a flyer to get home.
  16. Nothing really new learnt though. The nations league shouldnt exist.
  17. One where too many. However. Don Covay - Have Mercy
  18. This is down to Southgate not taking the nations league seriously. He's cost us the opportunity to play top tier nations
  19. I thought Henderson and Loftus-Cheek worsened us quite alot. I can't believe that Wharton isn't a better option than these two. Having an equally as good Wharton as Anderson to come on would have kept the momentum.
  20. This weekends games for our loanees 3pm Saturday O'Riordan - score/update - live on Sky Sports + Barrett - score/update - live on Sky Sports + Edmondson - score/update Pratt - score/update Wood - score/update 5:30pm Saturday Olson & O'Grady-Macken - score/update - live on Sky Sports +
  21. Do you really need to call out England fans for being quiet though? He knows what Emgland fams can provide in Tournaments and qualifying
  22. Which I am sure is what the majority on here would think However, the self imposed wage restrictions do seem to mean that the only players who are willing to sign contracts with us fall into at least one of the following categories - young academy graduates - unknown quantities from abroad - players with questionable injury histories - fans of the club - players who are not good enough - such as the numerous wide players that have not been able to oust Hedges from his spot in the team The fact that even when they tried, they couldn't tie down a soon to be 30 year old, very average (at best) Championship performer Hedges down to a contract extension, shows just how much less Rovers are offering than their rivals
  23. I think we learnt a bit about some of the players. Gordon for one, I learnt he always takes a touch too much and he’d rather shoot than pass to a better placed team mate. Watkins isn’t the next Harry Kane. Saka has got a good left foot but is weak on his right, I’d have thought the Welsh players might have known that. Spence can play in both full back positions. Rice is a good box to box player. Etc etc.
  24. Depends on what a very average Championship player can expect at any other Championship club If it is more than what he is currently on, then he would be mad not to
  25. Hedges would have some serious cheek to ask for a pay rise. He has only just started playing well for a few games. Ngl I still don't care if he leaves at the end of the season as it stands.
