Its all on his linkedin, which I linked, 9 years youth coaching at Accrington, Blackpool & Preston. a year of being a "Spillerutvikler" (something to do with youth development) at Bodo Glimt (I don't speak Norwegian so relying on google translate for that) - from the dates, I guess Gregg Broughton took him on there and then he has been at Rovers since 2021 doing various things in the academy set up, strangely, he joined Rovers about a year before Broughton did, so I assume that Stuart Jones was involved in his initial appointment In terms of qualifications, various things including a coaching BA & Academy management qualifications

I think we should all take Chris Lindrops post as confirmation that you should never, ever, under any circumstances, try to argue with an idiot. They will inevitably drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience -
Surely you should be putting in a seat request for said seat next to a mate and that could be provisionally ‘greyed out’. Why do 11,000 seats need to be off sale for a week?

What happens if one of the say 11,000 seats you might keep on sale happens to be next a mate of someone who wants to move and sit there but it’s sold before a seat transfer happens, for example? In truth there is plenty of time and space for anyone who wants to buy to do so even if sales are off for a week. I doubt there will be hundreds chomping at the bit on 21st May. -

WBA v Blackburn 21st March 1987. We won 1-0, I think Alan Ainscow scored after we missed a penalty (Simon Barker brought down in the box). My Dad was a WBA fan, so took me for my first match. I was very confused why everyone cheered us missing a penalty - we were sat in the WBA end and I hadn't appreciated not everyone would support Rovers! Next time we came (Sept 1989) I wore my Rovers shirt so Dad had to take me in the away end! (Where Colin Hendry was sat in the stands as he was due to join Chelsea the following day (which then changed to Man City) - all the fans were ignoring him, so my Dad said go up and ask for an autograph and he was really nice). Good times! -

When they say they never fail to sign a cheque, perhaps the meant a player form the Czech Republic, as they are failing to sign plenty of the paper variety, at the minute, in my opinion. -
I must be being dim, explain to me then why c12,000 spare seats in the open stands need to be off sale for a week, to process, what, a hundred or so seat transfers?

I’m not sure I understand your point Matty. Do you mean the club should just block some seats out for those who want to move? How would that work? As an example I can imagine that there are some fans who might want to move to the safe standing seats in NO1. Up to the claim your seat deadline there were none available as it was sold out to ST holders last season. I imagine that some will not have renewed so there will be some space. Alternatively there may be some who want to move out of there as well. You need to keep everywhere free so that people can choose. -
Before the days of mobile phones, raw footage of anything Blackburn Rovers was hard to come by. I came across this absolute gem a few days ago and have been given permission to post it from a friend of the site and loyal Blackburn Rovers supporter (He appears at the end of the video in the pub looking about 12). 1995 - The Night we won the league at Anfield - Just brilliant.

I was first taken to Ewood by my dad, uncle and older cousin in 1961 aged 11. We always walked from my aunties house on Copperfield St. Historically they always stood in the Blackburn End by the Nuttall St. corner flag. I haven’t a clue which game I saw but my first memory of a game was in 1962 against the newly promoted Liverpool. We won 1-0 with a late goal from Duggie. What a great team we had in those years, probably the greatest in my book, but I always wanted to see the players from the opposition that I read about in Charles Buchan’s Football Monthly. I can remember Ronnie Moran playing for Liverpool as well as Ian St. John and Roger Hunt. Their keeper was Jim Furnell.

Surely you could just provisionally block out some seats or whatever, completely off sale for a week? Good job they aren’t all on a drive to increase revenue down there…

This is usually to allow the club to action any requests for those who have renewed to move seats. There will be a lot more freed up after the claim your own seat deadline. -

Rovers paid at least £20k pwk years ago for Stewart Downing aged 36. -
Obviously M-B is happy enough with a regime decision.

I never get this argument. It would only work if we wouldnt have still negotiated a sell on with a more reasonable fee. Desperate to sell, January window where teams dont tend to spend much, very weak negotiating power, poor fee.
-
The minutes target is a diversionary tactic, youngsters are going to be thrown in at the deepens because they are cheap and we haven't signed adequate replacements
-
As with Raya, probably best to wait for the final reckoning.

Your caveat, is the most important point.
