  1. Today
  2. I wanted us too get windass when he was available for free after he left Wednesday but at rovers we don’t pay the going rate for championship footballers 🙂
  3. Think we've got lost somehow. Doesn't matter. 👍🏻
  4. Following on from beating City last week the under 21's were again impressive in beating United 4-0. Although United were reduced to ten men towards the end of the second half I firmly believe Rovers would still have won comfortably had United had a full compliment. Three up at half-time was terrific but I had a quick look at the stats and United had 79% possession which, as stats often are so misleading. I thought it was a big part of the Rovers game plan to let United have plenty of the ball in non threatening areas which worked to a tee. That, coupled with an intelligent press was a fundamental part of Rovers tactics. The goals in the first half were all team efforts with several players involved in each build up and the team effort was once again really good. The second half was a bit of a damp squib as Rovers once again allowed United to have plenty of the ball but we still created the best chances. In truth Michalski didn't have a shot to save such was our overall dominance. On the night I thought Frank Vare was our best player. He reminds me of Adam Wharton in many aspects and if he turns our to be half as good as will still have a player on our hands. Darragh Tuffy and his staff also deserve praise (as they did last week) for a really well executed game plan.
  5. Some result for Wrexham, checked the score and it was 1-0 to Coventry but a hat trick in the last 10 minutes from Keiffer Moore meant they won 3-2. He’s someone I wanted us to go for a while back, ruthlessly effective in this league
  6. Finished 4-0. Boggan with a second
  7. Not Rovers related by this home end at The Dell Southampton always had me questioning how nobody fell from the top tier celebrating a goal. Anyone been on that end?
  8. Hei Pasha! Halloween today, will the horror show continue tomorrow?
  9. Has anyone been to Leicester. Struggling to make sense of the 5 mins drive from the station being a 45 minutes walk
  10. Wouldn't surprise me if Cantwell and Baradji didn't kick another ball in anger for the Rovers! Not that Baradji has kicked one anyway. See what happens, all seems a bit odd to me !
  11. United have actually won all 7 of their games this season. They had a centre back sent off for two yellows when the game was at 0-1.
  12. May be coincidence but results have definitely picked up since Mike Sheron departed. Maybe after 10 years a new voice was needed, and it seems to be working ATM, although Utd are down to 10 men
  13. U21s 3-0 up at Man Utd at half time, Doherty, Boggan & Powell with the goals Man Utd U21 had won their last 5 games and were top of the table before tonight's game
  14. Watched VI's prematch sounded like he was leaving the door open for Baradji to need even more time.
  15. The mighty reds of Liverpool are in free fall. How many millions have they spent? Butnit is so easy to just buy the title init? Well Rovers did. Pillocks.
  16. Same as the womens team.
  17. I wouldn't trust our medical team to put on a plaster.
  18. Cantwell and Carter out until after the international break and Baradji's time frame has been pushed back to a "couple of weeks" after that. He's never going to play, is he?
  19. either that or pasha has decided to sell him in january and him getting injured will scupper the deal,i thoroughly an accouncement that he`s out until december,he`ll then play the whole month till match fit and be sold in the transfer window
  20. It is just like the onerous bag restrictions too. You better hope your hotel for (e.g.) Southampton away allows you to drop your rucksack off as heaven forbid you take something larger than a fag packet into the ground. Reminds me of a time a couple of years ago I was checking into a Travelodge and someone in front of me wanted to book a room for that night for whatever reason. They were advised they couldn't do that on the desk and they would have to ring them or book online to do so. Understandly, they weren't too impressed!
  21. id`e take playing in the west lancashire league than being owned and run by these cretins,we`de soon find our level again
  22. I agree part of supporting Rovers for me or any football club is about an honest journey towards success that the fans feel part of, whether it works out or not doesn't matter if it's something you know everyone wants and is trying for. That was taken away from us the moment Venky's bought the club.
  23. I've had more than 50 tears supporting Rovers believe me lol
