  1. Past hour
  2. Terrible news and will likely cost us points.
  3. It is not the end of the world. It just makes a hard job, harder. It might give Michalski an earlier than planned chance.
  4. The Doors - Love Me Two Times
  5. well we are now desperately short on goalkeeping cover, need to tap into the free transfer market imo,i don`t rate pears but if anything happens to him then we are in a very precarious state
  6. Wonder if Bristol will still think it was time wasting. This is bad news not just because we have to put up with Pears again just as we were regaining form, but also because an injury like that, especially one needing surgery, might reduce his capability going forward, or create a chronic recurring issue.
  7. Both Kalinic and Nzonzi left before we played in the Championship I think, so not in scope. Rochina a great shout though.
  8. We are doomed if this is true. Finally get some wins and now back to calamity Pears. Lets face it, if he were in goal against Southampton and Leicester then we wouldn't have won those games. That's the difference of a good keeper. I'm already having nightmares thinking of him being back in the first team.
  9. 'Over the past 15 years, VH Group has made a lasting impact on Blackburn..' https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/14575152.blackburn-rovers-store-town-centre-set-close/
  10. I would check the availability of Roman Vermant är Brugge in January.
  11. To me it's pointless getting rid of him cos whoever Gestede appoints won't be wanted. I'm prepared to see how we go. For now at least there's no doubt the players are with him.
  12. Do we know how long this has been the case?
  13. Not that I disagree, but it's a problem for Tyjon if he can't play as a lone forward. That's almost all the modern game has to offer a striker. Wouldn't say he has the pace to play wide in a front 3 either. I think the last sentence I've quoted is pertinent. Gueye is surely in need of some match fitness at this point, even if we want him to be of use from the bench.
  14. Hahaha You clearly live rent free in his tiny mind. What an absolute throbber. This lot are there for the taking, we just need to keep piling on the pressure.
  15. The only thing that is any good for is the fire. Anything other than an absolutely scathing and brutal dissection of their tenure renders the rest of the book completely and utterly invalid.
  16. Thanks! 15 years of ownership and the only highlights they can come up with is signing Jordan Rhodes and Her Majesty turning up which was completely unrelated to the owners.
  17. Wow, won't be parting with £40 or however much it is for a book with a full page glossy photo of those jokers. They should have just swallowed their pride and omitted themselves from the book.
  18. So, best case scenario he misses the games against Derby, Preston, QPR, Wrexham, Ipswich, Sheffield Wednesday and probably Oxford as well. Worst case scenario (if 8 weeks) he's also out for Portsmouth, Millwall, Boro, Sheffield Wednesday again and most likely Wrexham again and Charlton. Potentially 13 games out. Best case scenario most likely 7 games. And that doesn't factor in recovery time which probably adds at least a game or two to each scenario. Better hope Pears comes in thinking he has a point to prove.
  19. Today
  20. I prefer to look at his 13-14 year managerial record when deciding on his footballing acumen. He got in to playoffs during the covid season with Barnsley and got into the playoffs in German regional football about 13 years ago. That's all he has achieved. During that time he's had more clubs than Tiger Woods. Edit - sorry. sounds like I'm being an arse with you there when I read it back. Basically, I made my mind up about him before we ever appointed him, I never wanted him, have struggled to warm to him, see him as a journeyman and average at best. I haven't booed or jeered him at Ewood like some parts of the fan base, but I don't think he'll ever get us anywhere. Would love to end up with egg on my face but I won't.
  21. That is horryfying news.
  22. From the Borough of Blackburn ‘Plan of Land’ dated 1882, the ‘footprint’ of the Baptist Church together with other land up to the back of the Leamington Pub and the backs of the terraced houses on Cheltenham Street does form part of the total land purchased by the Rovers. I do believe though that as shown in the artists’ sketch it remained outside of the perimeter fence and gates of the actual football ground. Revidge Blue alludes to the need for crowd management and a large spacious area outside the gates as a form of forecourt would have helped facilitate the entry and egress of the supporters. It might also have been used as a horse ‘n’ cart park. From the Northern Daily Telegraph report in April 1893 I’d also be interested to know where Wellington Road is in the area.
