  1. Past hour
  2. Not rocket science. With the current formation we're desperately short of strikers and centre backs, although I'd prefer it if we kept at least some faith in academy players like Pratt rather than signing another Matt Kilgallon or or Paul Downing. We also need someone to challenge and/or deputise for Alebiosu at right back. There are currently about 27 left back in the squad so we could do with losing one or two of those, and the manager clearly has no faith in Gueye which means he should go as well.
  3. So do I. The chances are that our away form will take a turn for the worse at some point. And based on the stats thus far, our manager is incapable of drawing, let alone winning, home games.
  4. No way can anyone blame the fans for either not turning up, or not creating an atmosphere, after all we have witnessed. That last night was shocking and I fear it will not get better and just hope we can carry on getting some points on the board away from home. Ismael is a dud and as already pointed out, his home record alone, is cause for him to be sacked and if the results performances and other off the field activities do not change and quickly, this will end in disaster. To sum things up for anyone who wants to have a go about attendances, where have the owners been over the last 10 years and given that not a single one of them turned up for the centenary game, that says it all, as if they can't be arsed, what else can anyone expect.
  5. The irony of Ismael bemoaning the loss of Tronstad last night. The same guy who we're seemingly happy to just see go for free at the end of the season as he's (probably) close to, or above the ridiculous wage cap that we have. Hickman/Montgomery is a sign of things to come in that department as we have clearly seen they cannot identify and sign a decent central midfielder if their lives depended on it.
  6. The Streets - Weak Become Heroes
  7. No engine in the engine room without Tronstad. Cantwell is our playmaker but Tronstad is what makes us tick when he's on song and the players around him are awake and aware of their surrondings (unlike last night).
  8. To be honest I dont think either sre suited to a left wing back role. Better options than De Neve though I concede.
  9. Doesn't take much to get into this team atm.
  10. I know it's the old chestnut "who would replace him?" Can anyone see Rovers having a contingency plan or doing any research into a replacement? They'll be happy with Val, he's taking us in the direction they want.
  11. It was an even worse performance - tbh 0-1 flattered us Or what about one of the two experienced LB’s that we currently have sat on our bench and who can’t get a game for some unknown reason 🤷‍♂️
  12. They aren't bad they are being pushed towards the door for more cost cutting whilst De Neve is the number 1 back up option. It's called downgrading.
  13. I doubt whether their attitude or ability has anything to do with it!
  14. I'd take Sweeney, at least he could cut inside and open up the defence.
  15. Having witnessed that last night how bad must Ribiero and Pickering be in training to not get onto the pitch.
  16. An incredibly limp performance last night. The only good thing is it was so bad it can't possibly linger in memory. All down to the impeccable stewardship of the owners, whose honouring of the legacy of Jack Walker is the equivalent of me taking a dump on the Cenotaph. Lest they forget. VENKY SCUM OUT OF OUR CLUB, OUR TOWN, OUR NIGHTMARES AND OUR MEMORIES.
  17. Venkys, Pasha, Gestede, Ismael etc aren't stupid. They know exactly what they are doing.
  18. In a list of “who needs to pull their weight a bit more at Ewood Park”, I’ve got “the fans” at the bottom of the list. The way this season is playing out was predictable at the start of the season to anyone willing to take off blue and white tinted glasses. The plan of replacing the experienced leaders with low-cost, in experienced players from Europe simply will not work to anyone that knows this league. There will be a couple of Toth’s, but in the most part, we will end up with a team of Gueye’s, De Neve’s, Henriksson’s and Baradji’s
  19. Oh I'd query that one Den! Can we agree on "got rid of"? In reality they paid some to leave!
  20. In 2010 rovers were half way up the Premier League and gates averaged around 25000. Venkys came in, sacked the manager, sold the entire squad and announced that they could prosper in the PL with £5m/year cash input plus loans and Academy lads. 15 years later they’re asking “where are the fans”. I guess they really don’t know because they’re still pursuing the same strategy.
  21. Lets be honest here i think the fans need to pull their weight a bit more BUT if there was 15k actually in Ewood last night would it have made a difference to his tactics and subs ? No it wouldn't and the warning signs were there in the Brum match at the beginning of the season. It's not even about winning it's how they always seem to contrive to find a way to lose, that's on him. We know the squad is piss weak and there isn't one game changer in it but constantly throwing needless useless subs on then shipping goals is a problem. There is simply no plan nor thought behind it other than save a few mins in a few legs. Home form and performances under him have been rotten and aside from the odd regular away showing many of them have as well. No getting away from it but no one gives a shit anymore it seems, on the terraces or upstairs. This is Suhail & Gestede United not Blackburn Rovers, they've created this crap and the sackings should begin there.
  22. That stat alone should be a sackable offence.
  23. Seems to be a bit of confusion on attendances and atmosphere here. So to throw my opinion in: The club has lost circa 13K fans due to Venky’s. This is a protest. Fans that used to go, won’t go, because of Venky’s. These fans, in the most part, were the most vocal fans in the stadium. Losing them has massively impacted the atmosphere. The above combined with ticket pricing and Ismael and Rudy’s Rovers being absolutely shite at home, means that so near to Christmas, in rubbish weather, any potential walk ins just say at home. We still get fantastic, vocal away ends because the fans that won’t go to home games go away.
  24. Agreed but overriding all of that was the lethargy of the players. Gudjohnsen can score but his pressing is awful. I love Ohashi's attitude but last night even be wasn't at it. We simply allowed QPR too much time on the ball in the middle and defensive thirds and they simply played through us. From a home form perspective I don't know where we go from here because Ismael just doesn't seem to have any idea how to stem the bleeding.
  25. Feel really flat this morning, I just don't enjoy going to Ewood anymore and wish I hadn't renewed my season ticket. Ismael has now manged 14 home games and lost 9 of them since he joined.
  26. Really need to decouple my mood and mental wellbeing from this bloody club. After the highs of Friday they go out and do that. Woke up still upset about it. Second half much better in spells, but still pretty dire really. Different game if Andre nets his chances.
