Rather have another promotion on CV and the opportunity to move onto a bigger club than money. You talk like Edwards is short of money. Maybe you are his financial manager the way you talk.

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

We certainly don't think the owners are part of the solution. However, if certain people leave. We’re very certain the owners will follow. Hardest part is pleasing everyone. We’re trying our best -

Rovers's January transfer needs

He cant (legally speaking at least) sign a pre contract with another English side until the final month of his deal (its the final 6 months of his deal if he went to any other country) Not that I am disputing that he may well end up at another English side -
Nah, that was because he wanted to be closer to home or something...

If he doesn't sign another contract in the EFL where he can easily get 15k a week, and instead chooses to earn a quarter of that in Norway hats off to him. But im fully expecting him to sign a pre contract with Derby, Watford, QPR, Middleborough in feb. The family thing I am sure is right but no one walks away from a million quid extra on a two year contract. We really are absolute specialists in giving our best players away for free. Must be the best the division has ever seen? -
A big contract paid up and having to do nothing for it. Not a bad consolation prize.

Obviously, but still, if the coalition believes the current owners could be part of the solution then the group is unfortunately misaligned with my view. Venky's have had fifteen years and the only constant is failure (17/18 aside, but we were in League 1). They will always be part of the problem. The call must be for them to go and nothing else, in my opinion. Of course, the coalition can do as they please and if the idea is still to engage with the owners, good luck. -

That’s pretty poor. I expect most decent amateur players would be able to get through the first round at least. -

I fear the worst this afternoon , good away form does not last , it is not as though we have a team full of good championship players .This squad of players is very poor to say the least ! Put into the mix injuries and a very poor manager , it does not bode well .. I hope I am wrong ! -

Well it should be a relatively decent atmosphere which the players have mentioned now multiple times helps them, so let's hope we nab a win. Our form is much better than theirs on paper although we're drawing too many, and that often leads to relegation worries. Ribeiro has looked very rusty lately, but he will do after bot being featured very often so hopefully he perks up a bit today. They've failed to score in 6 of their last 8 games now so it's obvious where their weakness lies, of course we do have a habit of helping teams out in such circumstances so don't rule put a 3 nil home win. In the interest of optimism 2-1 away win with a Gudjohnsen brace, we're capable of it but certainly need an improvement on Oxford.... -
I am one who doesn't use the numbers for positions but he was deeper than I would have expected. He was usually at the forefront of the midfield when we were pressing which likely was tactical. He got on the ball more and played more advanced after their player was sent off and Southampton sacrificed one of their midfielders. They also played on the counter attack after the red card.

I have a good friend who is a Portsmouth fan. I met up with him at the same fixture last season, which was a horrible away day for us Rovers. He is dreading today's game (and every game, currently). Like us, injuries have hit them hard with no squad depth and defence a particular problem for today. Goals are there for our taking. His view is that if opponents can nullify the pace and creativity of Josh Murphy then Pompey have nothing at all going forward. His predictions is a Rovers win. I'm feeling similar in that a failure by Rovers to win this one will be a big disappointment and concern for the rest of the season. -
It would be tremendously funny if Edwards is shown the door before or once Wolves go down.
-
Did England focus on pace and pace in the attack instead of taking 1 or 2 like Australia bowlers of Neser and Boland?
-
I may be splitting hairs, but for the majority of the game, last night, Rovers looked to be playing more a 4-3-3 than a 4-2-3-1. Pre match, I had expected Tyjon to be the "10", but he looked to be one of two "8s" (sorry to those who hate the numbers thing), and quite often the other "8" Vare was more advanced than Tyjon. But how deep he was looked to be tactical rather than an individual choice (maybe that's the impression created from me watching on stream rather than live in person?) Tyjon did seem to push up more as the game got towards its closing stages and Rovers were chasing the winner

Reading a set of quotes from VI where he refers to “helping to develop” taveres there is no other point to us buying these types of players other than to sell them on for a small profit to continue to fund the club to sustain itself there will be little transfer activity unless we sell players first -
Thanks for reply. Good, let's hope we can tie him down to a new contract Well that's good but we need to get these good young players tie down to professional contracts.

They must go but how do you engage with Owners who refuse to engage? All routes of communication appear to have been exhausted? What do they get out of owning us?...15 long and painful years on we are no wiser. -
and unfortunately, Rovers have not yet given a pro deal to any of the players on display last night (unless Wilkinson got one.. they have still not officially announced his signing), which means if Arsenal (or other clubs) do try to poach them, we are not in the best position to keep them, and if we do lose them then we are not going to maximize their value

Tyjon played behind Joseph although at times he dropped off a little bit too much for my liking. He showed some really good touches and displayed good vision by being aware of players making runs. He tired late on, understandable after not playing too much recently. There were a few scouts there and I know one of them from Arsenal who I spoke to walking out. There was no indication of who in particular he was looking at but several Rovers players must have impressed him.
