  1. Past hour
  2. Brittain £3m. Travis £3m. Buckley and JRC an extra £1m each.
  3. Dolan had at least proven himself to be a good Championship player. Buckley hasnt done that. The type of player whose style makes him look graceful and elegant, but when you watch him for a bit, you realise hes not very good.
  4. I'm sure the club advised of a c£5m budget this summer - and we've spent just under that, so far. Maybe Travis leaving has finally freed up a bit of additional funds.
  5. Maybe go with what the Espanyol fans say as the season goes on, they've no axe to grind.
  6. John Buckley's agent should, in my opinion, be sounding out a move like that. He maybe could do something in a slower and more technical league. Albeit, it would seem that technically he has regressed, on the occasions he appears. Personally, I feel at one stage he was near Adam Wharton's level of technicality, though not, it has proven, the mental side.
  7. Not to be petty, but I could screenshot the comments about Gallagher's debut at Stoke. Prime Duncan Ferguson. But we knew the truth. Happy to be proved wrong. I'm rooting for him, honest. But I find this love-in a bit odd. Can totally get it with Adam W and others. But Dolan. Hmmm, suspicious that some are desperate to be proved 'right'.
  8. Zettesrom has been linked with Brentford
  9. One of them is rumoured to be the subject of interest and from what i've seen of Derby fans reaction they'd drive him there. Pears might be seen as an upgrade to them, they seem to think Travis is Tugay they're a pretty desperate bunch at the min.
  10. Interesting how Privy hasn’t confirmed Morishita. He only ever comments on done deals so I’m inclined to think this isn’t yet. Privy is quite clearly very close to the club (within?) and is keen to put a certain narrative out there. I’ve always been skeptical when people have mentioned about a “club plant” before, but reading through his tweet history I’m absolutely convinced he is.
  11. The style and slick passing of Norwich last season in the corresponding match was so impressive. It was so easy on the eye. 1-1 draw last year. A very late Weimann equaliser. Our midfielders must not be as easily bypassed by the quick interlinking that has been a Norwich hallmark of late or we may be chasing the game.
  12. Same reason race horses are flogged as dead horses if they pull up too many times, not many recover and improve.
  13. So is this newly linked Japanese lad Ryõya decent, or is it just Mor(e) shita that we've been linked to?
  14. Month end, they need to shift some money about
  15. Derby have Vickers and Zettesrom, don’t think they need a keeper
  16. This seems to be the consensus about Leonard but I really don’t understand it. Yes, he has been injury prone but always highly thought of and talked up as a real goal scorer, why would they be looking to force such an academy product out, before his potential and future value is really known ? Buckley is no surprise, on good money and just doesn’t look interested when he gets on the pitch and is pale imitation of the player that he was expected to be.
  17. I've quite a few United mates, I'm on about the real fans who travel up and down the country. Not the 'fans' who buy a United top and sit in the local with it on. I don't mind United at all. Obviously we had some minor rivalry midd to late 90's but that's long gone. Liverpool however, christ I can't think of anything remotely likeable about them, self pittying gobshites.
  18. I thought selling players wouldn't help our transfer fund. What changed?
  19. But we rarely get it. Dolan deserved more than he got.
  20. My interpretation of that statement was that there's a set budget and plans for x incomings and x outgoings. Any 'surprise' additional exits on top of that will need to be replaced, so that's like for like (or less), and that's a seperate budget generated by the mentioned sales. I doubt we will sell Hyam unless we have someone lined up. Same for Tronstad and Hedges but their market value are lower (because of their age) and will cost us less to keep until next summer.
  21. Hiring Selles was a baffling decision.
  22. Today
  23. Brittain money wasn’t spent either. I wonder if (despite the inclination to the contrary) that they have decided that some of the money bought in can be spent. I know it was previously said that this wasn’t the case but it doesn’t really make sense.
  24. We were always supposed to be getting a right winger anyway. Anything beyond that is just speculation at this stage. But sales of Brittain, Travis and Buckley will cover the purchases. As much as they claim it makes no difference.
  25. Nothing. The transfer window is still open and the playing squad won't be finalised until it's closed.
  26. To be fair, I dont think anyone expected him to do well in La Liga. Its more that some were trying to suggest that he had ideas beyond his station and should have accepted our poor offer, especially as he didnt accept something straight away.
  27. I've seen enough of Dolan to know that in the long run it won't work out for him in La Liga. I don't even need to monitor it. He got a free transfer move to a nearly relegated La Liga side. They look absolutely desperate and have put together a side of almost entirely free transfers and loans again this year. After spending nothing the year before. I'm thankful we don't have to watch him running down blind alleys, hitting tame "shots", weak crosses and taking on no one in the Championship anymore..... Amar'i Bell and Cauley Woodrow made Premier League appearances. Move on. We needed better. Him leaving should absolutely benefit our attack if we spend a bit of money.
