  2. No, it isn't solid. It's pretty dumb, to be honest. He's had several years of being very successful at several clubs - a couple of whom play at a higher standard than we do. He had one very brief spell with a recently relegated side (who had just come off being arguably the worst side in Premier League history), had no input into their squad, and struggled slighty. Even then, it was mostly draws. What's more, he's shown himself to be very capable of getting smaller sides to compete at a higher level, something that we are in desperate need of. So, if you want to judge a manager because they have one failure on their resume, or because England is all that matters, then by all means go ahead. But as a club currently sitting towards the bottom of the Championship, I think you will quickly run out of suitable candidates if you apply that kind of filter. Jose Mourinho isn't turning up. Then again, Mourinha has had a couple of bad spells at clubs, including in England, so I guess we wouldn't want him anyway.

  5. Because he's from Blackburn and he used to play for Stanley. They love a lazy local connection.
  6. If I was running another Club apart from Leicester I dont give a flying one about them but I'll do anything I can for my Club So if my Club goes down because the EFL haven't deducted Leicester the maximum number of points possible for what I perceive to be flagrant and repeated breaches of FFP Id like to think Id be sueing the arse off the EFL. Similarly If Im running Leicester I'll do everything I possibly can to avoid relegation. Therefore I'll argue that the imposition of the maximum deduction is overly harsh if that's what sends us down. Or if a lesser deduction still sends us down I'll argue that the sporting integrity of the competition has been skewed because we played the last four games thinking at the time we only needed three points to stay up as opposed to the nine we with hindsight needed due to a six point deduction imposed after the season finished. Don't think you can blame any Club if they were to appeal in those sort of circumstances. The EFL should have sorted it earlier and maybe there should be a rule that points deductions can't be imposed later than a certain date in the early part of any season.

  9. I think there’s a bit of something there. Tidy finish V Swansea and some lovely footwork to create a chance later on. He needs to do a lot more but his block last night was worth 2 points
  10. It’s not Goulon, nor Dahlin or Varner. No clue who it is but imagine someone just doing a promo for something
  11. I'm not sure how clubs can sue the authorities over things like points deductions etc. The authorities make the rules, if they are broken then you face the punishment. The whole thing is a complete joke. No wonder myself and many others simply don't give a fuck anymore.
  12. The way the EFL hand down the points deductions is completely opaque. Justice should be seen to be done but it is clear it administers the "punishment" at a time that minimises the possibility of the EFL being sued by the offending club.
  13. No nonsense from the players especially the prima donnas
  14. Grok probably just wanted to remove all his clothes...
  15. The photo is of Ronnie Pickering. He's our new manager.
  16. Surprised Grok didn't say that he looked like Hitler.
  17. And grok says it looks like Valerian Ismael.... And politicians want AI running things !
  18. Now you're getting it. 👍
  19. The EFL must just be crossing their fingers and hoping that Leicester stay up by at least 10 points then they can just dish out the maximum 9 point punishment either just before the end of the season or as soon as it finishes then Leicester will just accept it and no-one else has any recourse. Any other outcome and I cant see how the EFL dont get sued by someone.
  20. Yep. It's a bit like if we went down by one point and had lost two due to the Ipswich abandonment. Is it unfair ( that they didnt just replay the last 10 - 15 mins under the same conditions) ? Probably. Is it our own fault - definitely. No-one outside of the 2 Clubs will be shedding a tear for either of us though.
  21. it would`nt end well for savage here,he is`nt one to keep his mouth shut and when he`s met with denials, lies, silence and no transfer budget from pasha, gestede and the chicken brethren,he`ll walk away, the only bonus being,he`ll likely yell from the rooftops what it`s really like behind the scenes at brockhall and ewood
  22. People have been saying Leicester are going to get a points deduction, but when ? It is February now , they got away with something last time when they won the league!
  23. He's holding this seasons shirt.
  24. I know some on here are saying they don’t care as much anymore but it angers me seeing the bucket list of shyte being linked with the job - it’s like they have purposely put together a list of coaches / managers you would never dream of appointing - Coleman, Jewell, the Reading guy who I’ve never heard of etc
  25. I know - they might "turn over possession" deep in the opposition half or something. Just think of the damage that could do to those possession stats. Obviously far more of a cardinal sin than pissing about in your own penalty area and giving a completely needless goal away. As long as you tried to play it out "the right way" that's all that matters!
  26. I might be wrong, but it has Paul Ince II over if he turns up here.
  27. Can't say I'm excited about the possibility, he'd be well out his depth
  28. Absolutely nothing to recomend him.
