  1. Past hour
  2. I think that's a bit of a stretch to say at this stage - we've just had very one good game but before that lost three others on the bounce, the first two deservedly so and the second of those two at home against League 1 Bradford. Excellent today though, let's hope we can keep it up.
  3. it`s never about the manager at rovers, they`ve all been ok since the coyle shenanigans, our handicap is behind the scenes
  4. Thought the scoreline flattered Hull if anyone to be honest.
  5. Can say the same of Alebiouso. Tactically we haven't changed anything, just comes in and plays as Brittain did.
  6. Excellent win today. After their first 2 chances, they didn't really threated much. Rovers scored a brilliant first goal, great pass by Karbgo and Hedges's finish was beautiful. We had chances for a second goal but we went at 1 nil up. even game up to half time. After half time, we scored 2 very good goals. We got control of the game and we were the only team who was going to another goal. Every player was 8 or above. Cantwell put in Captain performance today and I think it was Ismael's masterstroke of him. COYB!!!🔵⚪ Delighted for all their fans who travelled to Hull to support the team that we put in that performance and winning
  7. Struggling to think of a better performance since JDT was at the helm. Agree with others that VI seems to have then very well organised.
  8. he was hung out to dry at right back ,which was not fair on him, centre of the park is his natural position
  9. Can't describe how proud of them I am. An absolutely unbelievable performance that hopefully springboards our season. Everyone, absolutely everyone was 10/10. Cantwell an 11/10. Can't praise them enough. Todd looked like a premier league player today, looked a good captain and was a class apart. Tronstad was his Rolls Royce best in holding midfield. Alebiosu never gets beat 1 on 1 and is athletic and quick, what a find. Mcgloughlin looks every bit as capable as Batth. We looked and played exactly how I hoped we would. Big, physical, with technical ability in the middle, with pace out wide and organisation at the back. Midfield really made up for last week, grafted without the ball broke the lines in attack. New signings look really promising. We should have won AT LEAST 6-0. Best performance in a long long time.
  10. Score line flatters a little as we knew little of two of the goals but thats being hypercritical, we were brilliant today. Enjoyed watching the boys play, so many good performances. Well deserved 3 points but we still need a new striker.
  11. McLoughlin is one of those rare transfers where the squad has a round hole in it so you buy a round peg and everything just carries on as normal.
  12. Genuinely stunned by that performance. Time will tell whether it was a case of Hull just being horrendously bad or Rovers realising some hidden potential within the existing team. I liked a lot of what I saw today.
  13. Great result. Venkys are still here that's the only negative today
  14. As I said last night, people will believe anything if it suits their purpose. That's why I don't read or believe any of it. Too many have got their own agenda. If you want to believe it, crack on, but It gets more and more like Jackanory on here
  15. The best Rovers away performance I’ve witnessed for years. Defensively excellent. McLaughlin flawless and Alebiosu very close to my MOM. The power and pace of that guy is crazy. Sonny back to being Sonny and Tavares doing things that Trav can only dream of. Those passes round the corner freeing up the likes of Cantwell etc were beautiful. Kargbo and Hedgey both fantastic and Yuki off the mark. The choice of Cantwell as captain looks inspired (well done Chaddy and Big Val). Special mention for Christi Montgomery who I thought did bloody brilliantly when he came on. Final, final one - In the circumstances, the manager gets a huge amount of respect from me. Having watched all four competitive games, we are very well coached from what I have seen. Organised defensively too. Well done Val. Happy days! What a start to the weekend.
  16. Excellent performance that. Thought Hull were poor - maybe we just made them look awful. Being picky. A better forward line and we'd have had 6. Gueye particularly poor that last 10 mins. Edit: Thought Toth had a solid game too.
  17. Thought the real standouts were Alebiousu , Hedges and Cantwell. All were really superb. McCloughlin looks a top addition as well both from today and the two prior games. All in all despite us as fans mostly jumping off the deep end its hard really to look at the first three games and say the squad quality has decreased really. Alebiousu looks a superb alternative to Brittain, McCloughlin has give us what Batth did. Toth looks better than Pears, Kargbo to me looks a similar sort of level to Dolan albeit in a different sort of way. Only area that worries me in terms of being weaker than last term is central midfield where I think we did miss Travis' energy when Hull got on top for a bit in the first half. Tavares its way too early to conclusively judge but I am not at all convinced. He seems to want to dictate more than get stuck in and him and Tronstad make an awkward pair imo. Figuring out the long term partner for Tronstad is key. Hope Tavares can up his tempo a bit and grow into the role as he obviousy does have some quality. But he's going to have to get a lot fitter. Obviously we need a bit more upfront too. Ohashi's workrate is immense and he deserved his goal, and Hedges had one of his best ever games, and Kargbo played a lovely pass for the first goal. But Gueye was very poor again when he came on and Henricksson is not looking like a big impact player so far. We probably need two proven attacking players who the opposition would really fear coming off the bench.
  18. lol, we probably shouldn't be too surprised Rovers got something wrong
  19. Oh shit I didn’t see that, popped away to get another celebratory beer haha. McBurnie’s such a wanker.
  20. What did i say about Chaddy being more on the money than most? 🤣
  21. Well that’s bizarre are it was Rovers website where I first saw the result as 3-2, so even they initially got it wrong.
  22. We need the depth badly. Montgomery didn't look out of place today when he came on, but he wasn't asked to do much. Tavares seems to tire at the hour mark so we definitely need someone we trust on the bench.
  23. Unfortunately it looks like it was 2-2 & Joseph missed a penalty before equalising
  24. Probably pissed off McBurnie attacked his CB and got him booked after the final whistle.
