  1. Past hour
  2. LBW decisions shouldn’t take that long.
  3. We're allowed 4 ESC spots. Ohashi qualifies now so yes, Henriksson will take out last spot.
  4. Still waiting to hear how social media videos with the players and streams of friendlies on YouTube shows any kind of comms improvement/is something to praise a Championship club for?
  5. So if Henriksson comes in is that our last ESC slot taken? Totth, Kargbo, Mafoumbi, Henriksson and Ohashi? Would Ohashi not qualify now?
  6. Last season Cantwell and even Ribeiro usually took them and neither were very good set piece takers.
  7. What are basing our set pieces takers are then?
  8. No he didn't. He said it was down to past mistakes, but both Pasha and Gestede were in situ when the contracts should have been looked at last summer. They were also in Situ when Eustace was saying "I think the players would like to know (on their futures)."
  9. Does this mean we can't try and get #VenkysOut trending on X anymore?
  10. He's never going to be Whartons class but he's still a very tidy player
  11. According to Nicko The Swede and Aussie should be announced today
  12. Until its too late? We know that our current set piece takers are not very good. Theres going to be more height in the team so why not take advantage.
  13. England should win but an early wicket and anything could happen
  14. The board, the manager and Gestede are on the same page… (accepting we have a functioning board)… Well yes indeed, record of failure, incompetence, ability to be economical with the truth with a smirk, ability to accept a new orthodoxy at the drop of a hat (it’s now cost cutting masquerading as promoting youth), ability to promote a narrative on social media and elsewhere that Stalin would be proud of, and some would say connections with an agency similar to Keane.
  15. A week ago this https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/july/28/u18s-fixtures-confirmed-/ appeared on Rovers website but the article only gives information about the first two fixtures and listing the teams in the league. The fixtures still haven't been uploaded onto the website https://www.rovers.co.uk/Matches/u18 It probably doesn't mean a lot to the majority but quite a few who want to watch the under 18's deserve better.
  16. I'll ask again - why was the game only announced less than 2 weeks ago after having a blank weekend in the diary for months? And more importantly why are Rovers agreeing to / arranging a game - the final friendly before the season starts in our 150th anniversary season - not behind closed doors but open to home fans and closed to away fans? If I was running Rovers and Nijmegen or their local authorities started coming with that sort of stuff I would have told them to 'do one' and found someone else to play who was willing to accommodate both home and away fans. I went to Holland in 2012 and whatever 'trouble' there was blown out of all proportion and there was very little evidence of any trouble or risk of it. Why that means 13 years later a hundred or so people couldn't go to watch a friendly I'm not sure.
  17. well you clearly have. Set Pieces have been mixed, good in some games and poor in some. I have seen Rovers played awful in pre season Lets see how set pieces are first.
  18. As a one off, it could be forgiven, but it isn't and some of the things that go on, are quite frankly embarrassing. Does anyone believe for example that the way the club have marketed our 150th anniversary is acceptable?
  19. 1. Winners of the Championship Ipswich 2. Automatic promotion (runners-up) in the Championship Leicester 3. Four Play off semi-finalists in the Championship Southampton, Sheff Utd, Coventry and Rovers 4. Three relegated sides from the Championship Sheffield Wednesday, Derby and Wrexham 5. Where will Rovers finish in the Championship? 5th 6. First Championship club to change manager (after the season starts) Sheff Wed 7. Winners of the Premier League Liverpool 8. A notable wild card prediction of something that will happen in the Rovers universe during the season (e.g. Donald Trump visits Ewood Park) Venkys court hearing to finish
  20. Liverpool are the strongest side and should win the league. Still not convinced by Arteta who is also a knobhead.
  21. I didn't and don't presume anything with this lot (actually I do -incomptence). I certainly do think they should have a net spend, within reason, like many clubs. Speculate to accumulate and all that which has been discussed plenty of times on these boards. I was just thinking that given expenditure is most likely to be cut again, that any possible incoming would require sales of player assets. Although I take Kent exile's point. If I need to take some sort of 'side' here, then I am certainly in the camp that thinks matters on the field will not be improved by summer activity. But cue the 'let's' wait and see' club. 😉
  22. Interesting day play ahead Brook and Root innings were pure class.
  23. A few other Championship clubs played foreign sides at home. No problem with who and where we played. A big problem with the seemingly amateurish preperation and travel simply ill fitting of a supposed Championship side. If true, of course.
