The January 2026 Transfer Window

Fair enough. Suppose it has grown legs a bit if he said that. So Mowbray didnt reject him, but James and his dad rejected us essentially due to Mowbray being an absolute weirdo. How have we got to the stage where people will make and listen to podcasts with footballers dads?! - Today

Reece James father spoke about it on a podcast he said that when Chelsea said he could go on loan his father wanted him to come here to work under Mowbray but they came up here for a meeting with him at the training ground and Mowbray didn't mention football once he asked James about the clothes he likes wearing and the music he is into. Going on to say he had had young players like him before who struggled as they missed the bright lights .Said they walked out and looked at each other in disbelief ,thought he was stereotyping and decided to sign elsewhere -
Shame to see Anderson get knocked out tonight in a very good game. Hopefully Van Veen will knock the arrogant Littler off his perch tomorrow but I cant see it. Never good to see one consistent dominant force and would be good to see a new winner to reduce the predictability.

It seems to be a rumour that has grown legs. You wouldnt have expected him to sign Bradley Dack as a bit of an Essex party animal by that same token. - Yesterday

i`me sure mowbray said his general appearance and his london upbringing meant he would`nt fit in with the group, personally i think he was barking mad (mowbray) he would have been a standout player that season, our loss was wigans gain,im`e sure he would rather have signed for us than bloody wigan -

That’s depressing. Would this lineup beat a team of randomly selected players named Alan currently playing in League One? -

I remember seeing Shelvey on transfer deadline day turning up to sign, I think at Forest. Ripped jeans, hoodie, slouching along with his hands in his pockets.Looked like it was killing him even having to walk. I would have been In the Mowbray camp on that one. What a slob. -

BBC Lancs today absolutely scathing of the manager and recruitment team. Interesting that Andy Bayes said to the other 2 blokes "I'll have to turn my microphone off for this" Didn't appear to get involved in the conversation, to me it appears like he can't say much against the people that run things. Mental how this club is trying to silence various people. Did I miss something that happened with Ryan Hildred a few weeks ago? -

Good, available loan players are out there. Rovers have just seldom been ambitious* enough to go for them. In 2021 Lincoln City had Brennan Johnson AND Morgan Rodgers on loan - contributing 17 goals and 7 assists. Half of the current Enlgand squad have been on loan to the Championship in their development. 2021 was ironically that was our ambitious year with Harvey Elliott, but we always seem to unearth the Rakeem Harper, Leighton Clarkson and Clinton Mola type loans vs the ones who consistently propell teams to greatness. * - by "ambitious" I obviously mean too cheap! -

Ahem... but who is going to score our goal in this scenario? If its the same squad as for the last two hootenannies (minus Litherland of course) then the chances are it isn't going to be someone on our playing staff. Luckily, as for the bear that may or may not actually shit in the woods, Schroedingers spectator syndrome will effectively ensure there is no-one present to witness the shameful performance that does or doesn't actually happen. I wonder, is it possible that there is someone on bonus pay for every thousand fans that don't turn up? -

I don’t think it is frankly and calling a Rovers season ticket holder a ‘Venkys apologist’ isn’t helpful, but I’ve said my bit. VENKYS OUT - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS (To me) -

It can be, its the battered wife theory. You can love what it was but not what it is now. And until such a time as the Venkys are gone, unconditional support is not an option. -

Most people on here think Venkys-run Blackburn Rovers are a shell of their former self, with the majority of decisions being led by cost cutting and a lack of ambition, or just being embarrassing. For example wage bill reduction, transfer policy, boardroom policy, ground maintenance, Brockhall, 150th anniversary, treatment of LT, fans forum minutes. apologist (noun) someone who speaks or writes in defense of someone or something that is typically controversial, unpopular, or subject to criticism Harsh as it sounds, Chaddy literally is the dictionary definition. He then talks about being a “diehard rovers fan” with the implication that anyone who criticises cant be a “diehard Rovers fan” (otherwise why mention it).
