steven
Great draw for us. Bert should be able to fill us in on the Dutch. It's definitely worth a trip over there if the Oranje fans I met in Germany are anything to go by - great bunch. We should have a good chance of progressing so we've got to be happy with that. At least its better than our League Cup draw!!

brfcjon
Basle and Feyenoord have been respectable champions league sides in recent years, and Nancy will be no pushovers, I cant see where the optimism is coming from. I partly agree although look at what we could have had. Makes this group look better. I reckon Nancy was one of the toughest in pot 5 but they play a more open and forward thinking type of game than others which I see as a style that is good for Rovers. Feyenoord will be tough! Basel arent what they used to be. Basically what I am saying. Its an open group and I think Rovers are slightly stronger than the others bar feyenoord who I reckon we are about equal to. If the group is open that means the other teams will take points off eachother and that way we will have a better chance of topping it in the end. stuwilky
Blackburn chief executive John Williams felt his team had a good chance of qualifying from Group E. "We have to be optimistic and the group gives us a chance," said Williams. "This competition is important for us, we have not had a good record and it is time to put that right." Each group comprises four fixtures per team, with two played at home and two away.
