Can we campaign for that to be added to the Oxford Dictionary for the word pleasure because it seems to be a very accurate description to me. :D

BillC, I must correct you there.

Lady Luck (láydi luk) n. :- A condition which causes the brain to believe that the absence of a female member of the aristocracy was the sole cause of a failure. Sufferers often repeat the phrase "Lady Luck was not with us."

Notlob (not lob) n. : - The hugely offensive written nickname for local rivals Bolton Wanderers FC. Rarely spoken.

----Notlob = I read it somewhere... it comes from Monty Python... is that true?

From Monty Python

"Is this Bolton or isn't it?!"

"Yes it is how can I help ya?"

"But I was just in here an hour ago and you said this wasn't 'Bolton'"

"No, no, no. That was a pun"

"What kind of a pun is that?"

"No, no. I-its one of those words that are spelled the same forwards and backwards."

"A palindrome?"

"Yes that's it!"

"But that's not a palindrome! The opposite of 'Bolton' is 'Notlob'!"

Actually a Palindrome is a word or phrase or sentence that reads the same backward. A word would be "level."A sentence would be "A man, a plan a canal: Panama."

Probably the only reason that Monty Python bothered about confusing everyone about palindromes was that one of them was called Michael Palin

"Turf Morgue"

a term which means that despite the small number of people through the turnstiles, you should add 10,000 more on to the actual number when ever you make a reference to it.

"Burnleys Wonderful history"-

despite winning only 3 trophies in over a centuary of football, dingles refer to the myth that have a wonderful history and are one of Englands finest clubs.
