Ben-2000 Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 What still no Nicko? He was last logged in on 14th December according to his profile. Maybe the Mods have put one of their 'banning orders' on him for a couple of weeks

92er Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 He had to go, had to go but the day before Fulhams biggest game of the season!!! He should have been sacked on Monday not Friday. At the start of the season he did everything right, convince mo(al - fayed) to give him money to overhaul the squad which we desperately needed unfortunately things went a bit weird, he bought a center back from Southampton, Chris Baird, for three million pounds but then played him at right back where Baird didn't perform and was made a scapegoat by the fans. Then Sanchez became unlucky up at Arsenal, Villa, Sunderland, couldn't keep a lead against Blackburn and Newcastle, a last minute penalty. However when the going gets tough, you need to get going in trying everything to win game but instead Sanchez became paranoid with the facts as he put it, " We'd be top of the table ig games ended in the first half". So yes he had to go but I have to wonder why the day before a big match? Is the Billy Mckinley partially in charge the ex-Rovers player?
1864roverite Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Thats him. I have actually read the mirror (YUK,POO) and there is no sign of Mr Nixons writing. maybe he has gone away on holiday.

Thanks for your opinions, just seems to me had fortune shined a little you'd be pushing top half, clubs just seem too quick to pull the trigger. You were good to watch I thought under Sanchez. But hey that's the way it goes, Boro seem to be a bit the same way. Best of luck to your lot.
tcj_jones Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 On the one hand, Collins looks a good up and coming manager who has succeeded, to a certain extent, at Hibs and possibly taken them as far as they can go. He'd probably do well at Fulham. On the other hand, how on earth was Sanchez supposed to prove himself, build his squad and turn the club around with less than 25 game sin charge? I think it is ridiculous that a manager can be sacked after such a short time at the club but, then again, relegation is a daunting prospect.
Exiled in Toronto Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 This thread has turned into Hamlet without the Prince of Denmark. Nicko not writing Daily Mirror stories has me thinking that the penniless gingernut has silenced him....permanently...so his devilish plan of bombarding a few internet fans with his PR offensive can never be fully revealed. Perhaps Nicko is buried under the 17th green of that New England golf course our sleuthes discovered.
Ben-2000 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Maybe he's having a well deserved break before the January madness begins!
ffan Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 'I have it on good authority that Matt Derbyshire will be an early January transfer signing having received this info I felt I should share it with you all!! I think he will be a good signing and the sort of striker we need along with someone like Anelka or Bent, that way we will have plenty of cover up front but in Derbyshire we will have a genuine like for like player for Bellamy. If your wondering how Im privy to this information then its quite simple really, I work for a certain financial institution that deals with the payment of salaries etc,and I happened to come accross an instruction to set up an automated credit payment to Matt Derbyshire in preperation for the completion of his transfer from Blackburn! The fee was mentioned in his file as between £5 and £6 million, the exact fee still to be agreed but the deal has been agreed in theory and terms already agreed with the player. You can expect the transfer to go through before the Fulham game.Ive supported West Ham for 30 years plus and I think this lad has the makings of a proper West Ham player as he has a footballing brain and real skill unlike some of the current crop of players and hes only 21years old!! Bargain!!!' Stolen from a very good West am site, not sure if the source is credible though.
EwoodGlory Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I would hate for us to let Derbs go, he could be a big part in our future. Unless this paves the way for a signing like Anelka I will not be happy.
Mozzer Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 why would matt derbyshire want to leave his home town club for west ham-okay he doesnt play alot here, but he wouldnt at west ham...
Eddie Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Well, I don't think that has much chance of happening, but if, and I know it will never happen, but if he was sold and Anelka was the replacement then I would have no complaints.
modes98 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Can't see it myself. Matty loves it at ewood and i doubt he would give up after half a season of competition. With roberts and maybe mccarthy leaving as well, it makes less sense.

Is he really trying to say that he's logged onto an accounting system that shows an automated credit instruction for a transfer price which has not yet been agreed? If so then what amount is the instruction for and why does it need to be created now, I can transfer money in about 5 seconds online, why would Blackburn Rovers need to set something up for a future payment? He's also saying that said accounts package records theoretical transfer fee's? Some sad attention seeking people around aren't there.
T4E Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 £6m for Derbyshire. Off. Snap. Hands. 'kin right. Blah blah drive him there myself blah blah.
1864roverite Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 ffan whaqt a load of old pie and mash ! If he is worth 6m now then what is he going to be worth in 3 yrs time ? 12m or more?? he got 4 yrs left on his contract so why would we sell him instead of the likes of roberts or mccarthy?

Mozzer Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 someone said a few weeks ago..huddlestone to blackburn is on and he is keen on joining us(something about someone knows derbyshire's grandad who has said) just wondering if theres any latest news...hes been starting for spurs lately, and is losing alittle bit of weight..spurs might want to keep him....
S15 Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 If he is worth 6m now then what is he going to be worth in 3 yrs time ? Bit like saying of Pat Sharpe in 1995.. ''Well if he's presenting Fun House now, what will he be presenting in 3 years??!' He might be home grown, but he's still crap. You know you have a short career at this level when your described as 'an impact player,' after you come on for the frantic last 10 minutes of every tight game. He's never done anything when he's started a game.
Exiled_Rover Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 I'd chip in for the petrol if T4E driving him down there himself. Might even treat him to a 'meal' at a services! Derbs is a decent player, but £6m would be too much for mine as a manager. Hughes could do a lot with that kind of money. It's most likely rubbish though, as a lot of these rumours are.
Ricky Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 the Derbyshire transfer WILL go through. I hear you all ask how I know this, well I'll tell you..... I have his name on my shirt this season, joining the likes of Shearer, Sutton, Dunn(mark 1), Duff all sold within 12 months of me having their names put on my shirt.
philipl Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 £6m buys diddlysquat this January. ...or Taylor from Pompey (who is useless in the MGP mould of uselessness)
Ricky Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 But add that to a £2 for Sav and we're heading towards an Anelka so in theory, a savage + a derbyshire = an anelka
