Keegan wanted Chimbonda, the 'experts' at the club said no.

Keegan wanted Woodgate, he is going elsewhere.

The guys behind the scenes want to sign young players that they fancy.

Keegan won't take much of this.

The circus is definitely in Toon.

I hope next time you speak to Mark Hughes you mention this Nicko... and point out he's actually a lucky man.

Since taking twenty one points from the first ten games we've barely managed more than a point per game since.

How about actually being positive about it Rev, why do you have to put a negative slant on everything. We are currently joint third in the form table with Everton and Villa. We've taken 12 points out of our last 6 games. Yes we had a very bad run in the middle but if we continue with our current form we'll be up there at the end of the season.

When you say " experts ", do you mean Ashley? Who else is behind the scenes?

There are two new powerful figures.

Tony Jimenez and Jeff Vetere. Jimenez is big mates with Dennis Wise and Vetere was a scout at Charlton and then Real Madrid. They are special advisers to Ashley and his other football chum Paul Kemsley, ex Tottenham number two.

Little KK has been out of the game for three years, knows very little about available players, and is starting to look like a figurehead to me.

Yes, Mark Hughes had a very narrow escape. I said all along he was too straight for that club. Perhaps you now know what I mean.

Thanks Nicko.

This is Keegan`s quote.

"Obviously, there are going to be some moves at this club, but I think the chairman (Chris Mort) has really got to come out and say what that's all about later this week."

A bit of very surprising news...a shock Rovers inquiry.

There has been a call to a lower division side today for a centre half.

Now that tells me Ryan Nelsen's injury is a concern.

More details later tonight...for obvious reasons I have to keep the name back, but it is an interesting story.

Not being negative, just calling it as I see it.

We're playing poorly, and I don't expect us to finish better than ninth or tenth.

If we'd been playing well and been unlucky with results I'd probably have the opposite viewpoint.

Maybe this could beat Cloughie's infamous 30 day reign at Leeds?

League One prospect. But a good one. We will see how serious they are, but the call has been made.

does that mean one day he might make a league one defender

Surreal goings on.

Wise was giving it plenty about Leeds being such a big club and he leaves them sitting in a play off place (all credit for over coming the 15 point hit to get there) to go to be number 2 at Newcastle.

Not even Rovers ever suffered that indignity from the Geordies!!!

End of the window is three days away and for all the mega millions Newcastle were going to spend they don't even seem to have a single target lined up now Woodgate has gone south.

Looking at Newcastle's immediate fixtures, they will slip into the relegation scrum if they don't beat the despised Smoggies at St James's Park this week-end.

The Academy lads can't be up to much then, yet they're supposed to be Premier League prospects.
